    Thanks for such a clear explanation. Could you explain how I choose which one to use for the analysis? KM vs competing risk? For insttance, I see many papers using locoregional free survival or cumultive locoregional incidence. I am not sure which method will be more appropriate!

    May I ask why not accounting for competing risk always overestimates the survival?
    What if the competing risk occurs to individuals at lower risk of event of interest?
