  • James Anderson takes the reins for the sixth and penultimate episode of our ‘Day Tripper’ series, which comes from Weybread Carp Fishery on the Norfolk and Suffolk border.
Solid bags and bright hookbaits are the order of the day for James, as he tries to locate the whereabouts of the carp on this peaceful three-acre day-ticket water.
When time is limited, being prepared can be a huge edge, as when you do locate the carp, being able to capitalise, and quickly, can soon turn one bite into two, or even three!

    Hi
    Great informative video.
I would like to know please, what do you have in the middle of your lead, what i mean is, you have your fluro carbon leader coming out of the top, your rig at the bottom what do you join them together with.
    Thanks Ray.

There would be a swivel that slots inside the lead. You'd tie the lines to either end of the swivel

As an old school carp angler (over 60 + years) and former lake operator (In France) and of course a DNA baits user, I have to question about spreading rods out in different swims? Sorry to ask that but it sends the wrong signal to new carp anglers and with social media these days, instant carp anglers will undoubtedly follow suit, a lake owners nightmare! In my opinion unless as you said you have a cameraman or friend on hand, this cannot be considered as fish welfare or safety, making a fish video is fine and helpful but I do think your video sends out the wrong signal. The wife Kathelene didn't post this, I did David Walsh!

He clearly has a cameraman with him, how about stop assuming people are fishing “unsafe” when you don’t know the whole picture!
