I think I only said accessory that way once in the video and mostly used the correct pronunciation. I did my best, JJ lol It is hard to change the way one pronounces a word after pronouncing it a certain way one's entire life! =-P
I own a Rope Runner Pro, but I haven't purchased the Magneto. I'm concerned about iron filings getting into the space between the magnets and fowling the device. I've learned a hard lesson from owning screw drivers with magnetic tips and magnetic pickup tools that attract iron filings from everywhere. I have to take high pressure air with my air compressor to blow all the sh1t out of the magnets. Have you experienced this issue? BTW, is that a Teufelberger Tachyon 11.5 mm you're using with your RRP?
Considering the Rope Runner Pro and the Magneato are made from non-magnetic materials (aluminum/magnalium), with the exception of a few steel parts within the RRP, such as the top bollards, I'm not particularly concerned about the magnet collecting filings. However, I've only been using it for around two months. But, thus far, this hasn't been an issue. Interesting question/concern. Thanks for commenting! EDIT: The magnet could potentially collect meal particulate from other sources if you store it with metal tools or devices that give off flings, etc. But I store my climbing devices with other aluminum/magnalium hardware and devices, so it's low risk of collecting any filing.
You just install it in the opposite direction! Then it will work perfectly for a lefty! Just buy the same exact one! It's bi-directional! Hope this helps!
Because those aren't as fast or efficient as rope walking with a multicender device like the Rope Runner Pro. Most tree climbers never use an ATC. Not sure what your question has to do with the Magneato. Feel free to clarify. Thanks for commenting!
@@Knot-orious fast is subjective... I can frog 600ft in 15mins or less. And I wouldn't consider all those extra parts to be more efficient but more likely for something to fail. Also back when I did tree work most people I knew also doing it used some type of frog/Texas rope walker. I do realize that a zigzag wasn't a thing back then and I haven't done tree work in over a decade. I do however have vast knowledge of SRT. And usually the motto is less gear for the same results. Great video tho I think I might get a zigzag now and play with it
Well, it's all relative to each climber and their personal preferences. I prefer rope walking over frog and it has become the industry standard. But do whatever works best for you. The Zig Zag is great for both MRS and SRS. Youll need a rope wrench for it (Petzl makes the Chicane) if you want to use it for SRS. But I've seen people attach tethers and wrenches from other manufacturers. Glad you enjoyed the video! I love my Rope Runner Pro.
@@Knot-orious I'm definitely more old school than most. Not really that old my self but was taught vertical caving by some old school cavers. Would you suggest a rope runner or a zigzag... It would only be used to peak my interest in gear and to test it's viability underground. I'm currently playing with hownot2's auto acsender. Which I'm liking alot but can out frog in speed....
Absolutely, the do a lot for their products! And here I am promoting a product free of charge simply because I really actually like it a lot. Oh well. Maybe this might lead to Notch or TreeStuff reaching out to negotiate a brand deal! Ha, I'm probably dreaming, but you never know!
@@Knot-orious you could open your own place. You got a lot of knowledge on rope access equipment. And you seem to like talking and experimenting with it. This may be your calling.
Pretty cool ass-ess-orry. Didn't know they even existed. Cool demo

do they make one where the magnet is on the other side for us lefy’s?!.

What is wrong with using a hand ascender and an ATC?

That’s funny how you said “ my unpaid demo” . RUclips videos do a lot for the gear manufacturers!

Your helmet is not attached
I'm pretty certain it was when I actually climbed, but thanks for looking out. =-D
That being around your neck can’t be comfortable…
Doesn't bother me one bit. I hand made my neck tether by weaving together 7mm accessory cord and I made it nice and wide so it's very comfortable.
