A lot of people ride these because of disability issues so for me they are great! A bike is a bike and if it keeps people on the road I’m all for them!
Yes if you have a disability it is cruel that life dealt you that hand, you should get out and ride a trike if you are able to. Still even able bodied people should be able to ride these without ridicule you are not a motorcyclist if you ride a trike but nevertheless get out and enjoy.
I am a (well) seasoned citizen and a handicapable one at that and can honestly state that trikes are made for someone like me. 🙂 They also made for people that don't want or need or care for a 2 wheeler. My brother has a friend in his seventies that rides an HD Trike and he and his wife have put over 100,000 mile on his. I am hoping to one day put a sidecar on my Ultra Classic so that I can continue to ride toward my sunset. SS in commiefornia, USA.

Due to my age I have now developed mobility issues so I now have a HD Freewheeler. I admit It does take a bit of time to get to know how to handle the Trike when you come from 2 wheels but you do get the hang of it. The Trike front brakes and rear brakes are linked also in the UK Trikes over 1300mm in width it has to have 2 Hi & Low headlights with a minimum of 400mm apart. The reverse is basically an extra starting motor which I agree isn't that good. I managed to do the North Coast 500 last year without any hiccups but I agree it is more difficult to avoid potholes etc. As they say it keeps my Knees in the Breeze.
When I was 17 I did a lot of driving in a Reliant Regal with one wheel at the front and two wheels at the back. To start with it felt unnerving but it was just a case of learning how to drive it. Once the ‘secret’ was discovered it handled surprisingly well and being so lightweight was unbelievably fast from A-B along the winding backroads of my native Cornwall. I have often claimed that that ‘car’ taught me far more about driving than any of my Mini owning friends would have learned. The came to a corner and steered around it I had to set the Reliant up before the corner and drive around it. I’m sure that with time, experience and perhaps a bit of guidance that Harley could become more fun to ride than it appeared at first but even if it does it’s still got all the disadvantages of both two and four wheelers added together.
My wife has a 2015 Can-Am Spyder F3-S , which we rode 4,056 miles this past June, from Boise, Idaho to Minnesota and then up into Canada and back to Boise two-up . I remember riding a trike, the first bike I remember. Memories are still vivid. Classic 3 wheeler, with a bread bin at the back! If remembering correctly, I was pre-school, in the early 60’s. 3 wheelers afford people, young, old, make no difference, petrol or pedal, an opportunity to have more freedom, a bit more independence. I recently saw a gentleman pedalling a trike, a wonderful sight. It is only our prejudice that judges such courage. It takes courage to go against a societal norm and I for one applaud anyone with the gumption to have a go and just not give up. Go 3 wheelers!
I got chatting to a guy with a custom-built Harley trike a few months ago on the one nice day we now call "summer 2024". His reason for riding a trike was his age now prevented him riding a usual two-wheeled bike with any confidence due to a previous knee injury making holding the bike upright when at a stand all but impossible. Well I have to say I had a good look around the trike and boy what a cracking good looking bike it was.
In Canada and the US, there's a trike called the Can-Am Spyder built by Bombardier (inventor of the snowmobile). Its configuration is opposite: two wheels widely spaced at the front with a wide back tire. I think that the steering MIGHT be a little easier to handle but to be honest, I plan on sticking to two wheels for the foreseeable future. 😁
@mikeypro7534 I never even knew a 'reverse' trike existed until I followed R1 Liz's journey on learning to ride the Spyder, culminating in taking part in the Großglockner challenge. Look great fun!!
two wheels in front is more suitable for building the steering. two wheels in the back is much more easier to build out of an existing motorbike design. more so if no major tilt is built into it.
The best way I can describe how the one I had felt to ride is like a cross between a bike with a sidecar and a dodgem car with out the worry of it tipping over going around a left hand corner. The Spyder was great fun once I got used to it but , just my opinion, if I was going to get another one it would be the Ryker because it's shaft drive not belt drive and I like taking the trike down dirt roads and going bush with it.
As I got close to needing a new hip my Can-Am Ryker provided much needed security and stability, and even now, with two normal bikes, I have kept it as it was so much fun and so comfortable. I suspect two wheels up front makes it easier to judge the widths etc and a clever stability system stops you doing silly speed turns. Three wheels is often the answer in the winter when the roads are slippy and gravelly and I feel completely safe but yet out 'on a bike'. Touring on three wheels is much more relaxing and comfortable over the longer miles and parking so much less of a planned event. I agree, they are less 'cool' but sometimes practicality wins over!

My wife had a Goldwing trike that she rode on a car licence. She loved the colour, (super important if you're a woman) she loved the looks, she loved the way the engine performed, she loved the boot space, she loved that is stood up on its own, but.... She hated the way she had to steer it at low speed, (when you're 5 feet nothing, and have the strength of a butterfly life's hard) she hated being stuck in traffic, and I hated that it took up so much space in the garage! She has since passed her motorcycle test, and now rides a Honda Rebel, which she loves in its entirety, and I love the fact that there is more space in the garage. All is happy in the household. Trikes obviously have an appeal to some people, but not for us.
What I liked is the way HD executed those huge exhaust outlets nested so attractively into the posterior of the 'box' I really think that was the most stylish feature of the machine. I first sat on one of these in 1962 when I had just turned 16; truly an agricultural beast; used mainly by parking enforcement and delivery services here in left side of Canada. thank you for leaving your comfort zone to bring us this review Andy. Whilst watching this clip, I was deafened by hundreds of people shouting that you completely missed the point of this vehicle ! Right at the end you suggested that it was aimed at disabled riders, and that is partly true. It's not for me, but then I haven't been forced off a two wheeler by injury or advancing years. I may like the idea of riding a motorcycle, but for whatever reason I may not have a full bike licence, these can be ridden on a car licence. It would have been much more useful if you had ridden it from the perspective of its intended market ! Oh, and a Morgan with one wheel at the front would be a rare beast indeed ! All that having been said, I love your reviews and eagerly await some more old classic stuff, maybe 80's sports bikes ?
No for me, but thanks for the test! You summed up pretty well in minute 16' - "All the disadvantages of a car, plus all the disadvantages of motorcycles". I'd add an stratosferic price. Really a rich guy toy. Much rather own a Mazda MX-5 (Miata) , cheaper, no need for protective clothing and one can put the roof up when it rains and turn on the heater/AC. ☺
I had an HD Sportster trike built back in the early noughties, it was certainly a taste you had to get used to. In the end I loved it and learnt how to drift it around roundabouts, but like most things, the love came to an end and I sold it as I needed the cash for something else!
I bought a Can Am Ryker last month last month and I am thoroughly enjoying it !! You should try and get a test ride on one and it is much more SPORTY than the HD, Do I miss my KTM YES but I have some physical issues and now I can continue to ride !!
You need more time to get used to the machine than you had. Coming from 2 to 3 wheels is a world of difference, handling-wise and it does take time. I rode 2-wheels for 40 years but arthritic knees and hips mean I can'r hold heavy bikes up or move them around any more. (Last bike was a Triumph Thunderbird Storm.) 3-wheels is my only option for staying "in the wind". Separate parking brake is a legal requirement on 3-wheelers. I do like the look of the Freewheeler, but if O was to choose H-D I would go for the Tri-Glide for the extra goodies!
Another point to note is, as I understand it, if you passed your car test before 19th Jan 2013, then you have a license to ride this. ( Category B1 ) Quite a smart move from Harley to offer these as it opens up their market quite a bit.
If going for a trike, whatever the reason, two wheels at the back are the worst. You don't see where they are going and going thru a corner will push the forces on the one wheel in the front. My dad went from a motorcycle to a can am spyder f3 limited. Changed because of his age in mind and not feeling safe on two wheels because of his body getting older. Two wheels in the front mean you can see how wide you are and that the forces in corners go to the outside wheel. I've ridden it as well, and of course it's much different than my bike, but you can really push it and smash through the corners. Much different than this trike with one wheel in the front.
Basically what I came here to say. I like the looks to the Harley, but dynamically, things like the CanAm are far better. I'm in a jurisdiction where lane splitting isn't permitted, so the biggest downside to one of these is the difficulty in avoiding potholes.
The Can-Ams are like the three wheeled recumbent bicyces in that owners often refer to them as a "Tadpole Trike" due to their kinda looking like a tadpole with the large head up front and the tail out back. 🙂 My brother also has a married couple with two Ca-Ams down the same street from him and they ride a LOT. I cannot get one of those as they are so low my handicap would make it more difficult getting off the scoot. I agree with you that the Tadpole trikes are superb! SS in commiefornia, USA.
Excellent review. Have many friends with trikes goldwing, vulcans and HD’s and can Ams. You hit the nail on the head. On long straight American highways the trikes are fine, in the mountains they become dangerous with too Much power pushing straight through corners. The CanAm Spyders are rock solid and safe in the twisties. Each have their place. CanAm for me when I age.
I do love the look of the Freewheeler, which reminds me of the old H-D Servi-car, but there are certainly drawbacks. If you can ride one without a helmet in the UK, I like the idea of popping out to local shops on a hot day, for example, without having to wear a lid.
I've been running a Can-Am Spyder alongside my two-wheelers since 2016. It's become the go-to machine for longish rides in bad weather. Two wheels at the front. Tried a couple of H-D trikes but really couldn't trust the steering. Go try a Spyder...
@@TheMissendenFlyer Not near you, sadly, but there a few UK dealers. We have two Spyders, both bought new from OHG Quads in Devon (we live in Cornwall). The probs I had riding (borrowed) H-D trikes was a lack of front grip in the rain and my idiot tendency to leave insufficient clearance for the fat rear end. Reverse trikes are much better and have actual suspension. If you ever get out west, just say, My wife's Spyder is a much younger more sporty version of course...
Be careful you don't hit a curb, because you're not used to the width of the back wheels. I almost overturned one because I mounted the curb. It was the first and last time I rode a trike.
These aren't my cup of tea, but I must say the new adventure Polaris three wheelers actually look pretty sweet. Glad you tried this one out, you never know what you will like until you try it for yourself.
I've ridden a few trikes briefly and just hated that understeer push of the front wheel. A Can-Am Spyder with two in the front was a lot more enjoyable, though also not anything like a two-wheel bike, but it just felt a lot more controllable to me. I put a good handful of miles on the Can-Am in tight traffic to open back roads. I personally just don't feel like I have the traction needed on a trike. It is nice in extreme hot weather to not have to put a foot down and manage low speed balance crawling in slow traffic.
In 2015, I bought a new CanAm Spyder SE6 RT Limited. I think it was a very nice looking bike, but this purchase was a huge mistake. My previous bike was a 2000 Honda Goldwing SE Anniversary Edition and a lot more fun to ride. I believe the CanAm trike configuration is a much safer machine and CanAm has all the nanny electronics to prevent you from turning over, but at speed in turns I always found it unnerving. And of course you are holding on for dear life as the bike is trying to throw you off. I sold the CanAm five years later with only 5000 miles on the clock. I bought a new 2023 Honda Goldwing DCT Tour last year and I could not be happier. Two wheels is the way to go if you can physically handle the machine. I think it’s great the trikes are offered, however, they are simply not for all of us.
Love the analogy between fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters - having flown both (albeit as a cadet!) and having ridden bicycles and tricycles extensively as a lad (did the London to Brighton on a tricycle once), this sums it up really well. I think you did really well staying on the bloody thing, Andy! The steering dynamics on a trike are 100% counter-intuitive if you've mainly ridden 2-wheelers! Whenever I used to let my mates have a go on my tricycle they would always, without fail, fall off! I must admit I love trikes - I'd love one of those old H-D Servi-Car machines - maybe funds and garage space will allow some time in the future. Yet another excellently honest review - something a bit different, for sure. Great stuff, as ever.
My Dad had one for a while as he was unable to ride a normal motorcycle because of back injuries he is in his 80s now and no longer drinking or riding. Took him 2 months to get used to it but mainly rode on highways and country roads were traffic was minimal, no wildlife, and decent sized roads.
These are actually fairly common here in the states, goldwing conversion s too. Seems mostly ridden by older riders. Maybe there great on USA s superslabs? Lots of storage for camping ⛺️
A horrible looking vehicle. But fully understand they're a liveline for those people unfortunately with medical conditions making a 2 wheel vehicle, impossible to ride. I'm reading that they seem more commom in the USA and Canada, where they have longer, straighter bigger roads, than the UK. Combined with warmer, dryer summers, thus making them a great option. Not for me, at the moment but would never say never haha.
Last time I went to the Harley dealership for spares there was the typical South East rush hour traffic and I passed a guy who had just picked one up new stuck there, unable to filter. I said to the sales person that he might be regretting that decision. The prices are absurd really, since I bought my Harley 10 years ago they have rocketed, and even if you’re disabled given the choice that price range is in line with a lot of convertible classic cars - 60s mustangs, Camaros and Trans Ams, can be had and are items of list and investment. make a lovely noise, handle well and offer the ability to take the family along for the experience, or a mint Triumph Stag, TVR Chimera or Jag XKR would still leave half of that budget to buy a nice bike for the other £15k.
As a 3-wheel Instructor, you would benefit from training. You need to lean into the corners to lessen the tip-over sensation. Also on a trike, unlike a motorcycle, most of your braking power is in the rear! Awesome video as always!
Have just taught myself to ride a combination. Took it really slow to start with. With 1k under my belt am loving it. Would love to learn to lift the chair, so I would be less worried about it happening.
@@davidforsdike4343 we teach that as well. But “flying” the chair turns it back to a motorcycle where you countersteer instead of direct steer. It’s called “Steering Reversion”.

Like all Harley cruisers and touring bikes the number one upgrade that the trikes need is upgraded rear shocks and front springs. Makes a lot of improvement in handling and ride. Definitely more important than louder pipes or engine upgrades. The Triglide is a slightly different ride than a freewheeler owing to the heavy front fairing and top box. The amazing thing is a Triglide has more storage with the trunk and top box than a Mazda MX5. As others have said if you ever get a chance ride a can am spyder, the difference between it and the Harley is eye opening b
It's beautifully-made and handsome that's for sure. One of these comes to the Ponderosa some weekends. It's owned by an American lady. I've exchanged a few pleasantries but not asked her any serious questions about it. I guess it appeals to people who want to retain the lifestyle but cannot handle the weight & balance of a big bike. However, if infirmity or disability comes to me I think I'd prefer an old two-seater sports car like an MGB or similar. More fun around corners and a bit more snug in winter with the hood up.

Fantastic review and very funny. Interesting to watch road shocks transfer energy back to front shocks. Definitely would be amazing on smooth empty decongested roads. And a niche market. I’ve seen riders out on them at almost every bike rally. Great to see such an honest review. 🙏👊🏍️
Andy see if you can get a hold of a HD fitted with Landing Gear. Largely rides like a normal bike but you don't have to hold it up when you stop. Not as stable as this when stood still and you have to be careful where you stop but a much better feeling for me if you have to have something that doesn't fall over on its own. They do kits for the older Rocket 3 aswell so maybe even see if one of them is available? Being disabled and biking doesn't need to mean riding this thing. Oh and the Can-am is a much better ride - even though its dynamically flawed its nowhere near as bad as this thing.
Great vid enjoyed that something different Iv been riding bikes for 40yrs own a super naked but I really like that Harley trike the paintwork is outstanding I think it looks cool as I wouldn't mind having a go on one but the 30 grand price I haven't got that kinda dosh laying around!when you said about it feels like it wants to throw you off taking bends and corners they say to move your body weight to way you are turning!like you say you would get used to it after while I would be nervous aswell at first as it's different to what your used to riding!
Love the paint job on this particular machine. I've ridden 3 wheelers and liked them more than I expected, but still don't think I'd own one. Maybe when I'm older and a bit more feeble
I like the looks of their trikes. Trikes do require a bit more upper body strength to ride and the one issue many have is that you can never truly avoid pot holes and debris on the road as you can with a two or four wheel vehicle
Andy I always see a place for these. My best mate has a prosthetic leg and rides a can am spyder which gives him all the benefits of what is able bodied persons love about motorcycles. Tbf he is also normally faster in the corners than me! As long as we all love the principles of being out on the open road, does it matter what we ride!
Afternoon Andy I test rode a Harley trike a few years ago when the Harley dealers first had them, they were a lot cheaper then at £23k. Like you I found the ride over uneven roads uncomfortable, with it jiggling you left and right pendulum like as the rear wheels went into dips. I also found the steering extremely heavy, maybe they’ve fixed that on the model you tried but on the one I tried it was terrible, you’d end up with arms like Popeye. The one I tried had a high rear box, handlebar fairing with sound system. I didn’t find the same problem with cornering that you did about feeling like it would fall over but in my youth I did own a couple of Reliant three wheelers so I’m probably more used to three wheeler handling.
Trikes have a rich history, some where built as a Carry utility vehicle mainly in the USA 😊 as an alternative to side car bikes. They do offer a bit more safety than 2 wheels and are more mobile than a mid sized vehicle. These days it’s more of a novelty and for fun, looks.
I've have had a Goldwing, BMW K1600 GTLE and a, when they first come out, 2020 a GS 1250...all great bikes, except the GS 1250 I loved it, my wife disliked it immensely.....so we looked at the new Goldwing, the one you had, she didn't like the hand grips, common fault....so we tried the new CAN AM RT Spyder and she loved it...she has got arthritis in her knees, this bike will not fall over when she gets on it. Her seat AND hand grips are heated, the rear suspension is self leveling and smooth. Your going on about what you've tried....try a can am with your good lady....IT MAY CHANGE YOUR MIND.......
Thanks for the useful info on the Harley trike, as we’re getting into our 70’s we looked at the trikes, but honestly just couldn’t get over thrilled. We’ve heard horror story’s of trikes tipping etc. and the GoldWing trikes aqua planning on wet roads . Do you get the CanAm trike in the UK? Well done for trying something different. Not for everyone but there are people who want and need this type of machine as maybe cant hold up a big bike anymore. Or they just like the looks of it.
Not sure if you have tried a can am spider 😊 Yes I love trikes they are an interesting combination of safety and challenging to ride, a bit easier than a side car 😂 When you get used to riding them they are fun and engaging to ride.
Hahaha, fair play 😁There's quite a few around here, but they really only appear out the garage for regular weekend coffee runs mid-summer, when there's zero chance of rain. Not just the HD flavour either, there's also a few Beamers, Wings and Spyders too, there's even one old guy that had a Vucan converted last year. There's also a young guy that works here in town that has a newer Ural that he rides all year round and he brings that down. All beautiful to look at. They are mostly 2 up and the old couples absolutely love being out on them and being "part of something". There's always a steady stream of other bikers going over, admiring the machines and chatting away with them about it. I was lucky and had a quick go on a stunning looking Wing conversion, that one old geezer was happy for me to borrow this year, for 5 minutes around the huge carpark were were in. Like you, it felt cool riding it, but mostly made me feel sick. I lost count how many times I tried leaning into the corners, or looking back at where the wheels were, which made things worse. I'm sure you would get used to riding one, if you spent the time on it. I think if it came down to a choice of either get and ride one or give up biking for good, I think I would buy in. These are definitely not the kind of machine that work well on tight, twisty, and pothole filled roads though, and they are expensive all around, but I certainly appreciate the appeal of them 👍
I love the color scheme of that trike. Simply beautiful. Regarding your assessment of the trike: One ride doesn’t seem sufficient to allow you to understand the trike. One thing I expected you to address was steering. Yes, you said it steers like a car, but that’s not the whole story. You also need to lean your body into your turn to counter the g-force that wants to throw you to the outside. I didn’t see in your video that you leaned into your turns, which might account for why you took your turns so slowly. And turning is not so much like a car as it’s the opposite of a two-wheeled motorcycle: no counter steering on a trike. You pull the bar in the direction you want to go. I think you need to get one of these trikes for a longer-term test and really get to know it. I don’t know if your local Harley dealer would allow it, but if they did, your review could be so much better.
Really interesting watch. A trike would not be for me. But I reckon it was his trike that kept my mate going. Lost his right arm in Spain on his victory hammer got it back to UK got it converted into a trike with foot throttle. They have a place in the biking world. By the way my mate has just had his 80th birthday in 8 years he has racked up over 50000 miles on it. So never knock it kept him in the biking world

The best description of how to handle a three wheeler is you lean into turns on two or three wheels the difference is that you lean the bike on two wheels and you lean yourself on three wheels.
I was talking to the owner of a Goldwing trike one day and learned that as well as the standard fuel tank, the trike had a 10 gallon tank in back above the rear axle. That could be handy on long rides through the Western USA.
To me as a someone with way too many vertebral discs forked trikes look like nightmares on wheels. Not only do they pick up more potholes than all other vehicles with their three tracks, they also make a mix of up-and-down and side-to-side shocks of most of them.
My buddy bought a 2023 Harley Davidson Tri Glide Ultra because his wife said she would ride with him but only on a trike. When we ride together we trade off with him riding on my 2021 Honda Goldwing DCT Tour and I'd ride his trike. It took me a few road trips to get adapted to not counter steering or putting my feet down at stops but after my muscle memory took over his trike was easy and fun to ride. I'm in my 70s and my next motorcycle will be a Honda Motor Trike Gold Wing Tour DCT Condor.
Trike s are great fun , i have owned two one being a Yamaha v max , yes you have to learn a slightly different riding style but once mastered its amazing , to be honest you didn't look relaxed on it and that was the problem , see if you can get another for a longer time you may be surprised
Very interesting video TMF, although definitely agree that it’s a no!! In the UK the main appeal of a conventional Motorcycle is having fun on the back roads, parking wherever you want within reason and the ability to be able to filter. I guess it has its place somewhere and for someone 🤔
With injury 2 years ago, I thought it was going to be the only way u could ride, as my left leg lost strength and I did not think I could hold up my 2 wheel bikes. But I gained enough strength back and able to ride again. But it's an option for those who might need 3 contact points and still be in the elements.
Morning Andy, "Otherwise". An interesting review, not surprised you found it weird. For those of us who are still whole and hearty. Why would you ride a trike? An old geezer I bump into at the coffee shop, Is very proud of his Harley Trike. He is missing a couple of bits. Clearly disabled, Like most old geezers you meet when you ride a Triumph. He used to ride a Triumph. Along with other cool bike's from the days of yore. The "cool" thing about his Trike. Even though there is no way he could ride a regular bike. He can get off his disability scooter and ride his trike out to a popular local bike spot and meet other riders. When I see him, every so often, he is having a good day. which is pretty cool. For the rest of us who knows what the future holds. Maybe it will be a "Tesla Trike". and we talk about our old triumphs. Another weird bike, I've never ridden. Occasionally see out and about. I saw one in Eagle Plains. The "Spyder" License requirements? Can you ride a Trike with a Car Licence or do you need a MC Licence.
I think it depends on the track of the wheels - if wide enough you can ride on a car licence I believe. And yes, although not for me, I get that trikes work for some special use cases for sure…
When I was young I could never understand why people had trikes but after taking with people who own them the main reason they have one is almost always due to a physical disability. One older rider I spoke to while touring in the USA had a Goldwing trike and said he could no longer keep a normal bike upright due to knee problems. I see a lot of Can-Am's which have two wheels at the front and one at the rear and I see a lot of women riding them. I think it would look better with a Street Glide fairing on it.
I'd probably forget about the two rear wheels... filtering oooppsie would be guaranteed. Having said that if I had mobility issues I would love it. Fine looking trike.
Fair play for giving it a go Andy. Personally I don’t like the looks of it at all , has no appeal to me. What I am intrigued by is the Can-Am. I really would like a go on one of those.
Yes I can see the appeal as age leaps up! The desire to keep riding at all costs is to be appaluded. But it is at all costs and far too expensive for me (if I had that sort of money I would go for Goldwing trike). My soon to be confirmed decline will be Forza (boo), but as I said to keep riding at all costs!
I don’t mind the look to be honest. Trikes have really taken off here in AUS, there’s them of thousands of them. I suspect as us barber boomers are now getting older, they. Find the trikes are a bit more stable and you are less likely to fall off as your muscles aren’t what they once were . Nice video. I do think the rear suspension looked a bit on the firm side

Andy have you tried a Can-Am Spyder? They are a bit weird to ride as well with two wheels up front and one in the back. HD definitely has long history building trikes, we all have to be glad that three wheeled options exist. Our knees won't be holding a bike upright for the rest of our lives, great option to keep the nose in the wind for sure.

I've wondered what a trike would be like too. I dunno, I think it's a great option for riders with mobility issues but I love the lean so much! It's the best part ❤ Having said that, I would go three wheels before giving up riding a bike. Prolly a can-am or sidecar would be my choice over a traditional trike tho. Oddly enough I was sat behind one of these last night in Portimao, Algarve, at a traffic light. The pillion passenger looked supremely comfortable and relaxed. The bike looked good too. Wouldn't want to be on the twisties on one, but across the southern US States, it looks perfect...
It's definitely cool. The front end looks a bit strange, might be better with a single headlamp rather than the three lined up. Cornering looks treacherous and when I saw the mini roundabout, I thought you were going for the full turn. The Goldwing trikes look great too and I think they've got a better back end set up which allows them to steer and feel a bit better. Nice to see something a bit different. Thanks TMF.
A lot of people ride these because of disability issues so for me they are great! A bike is a bike and if it keeps people on the road I’m all for them!
Yes if you have a disability it is cruel that life dealt you that hand, you should get out and ride a trike if you are able to. Still even able bodied people should be able to ride these without ridicule you are not a motorcyclist if you ride a trike but nevertheless get out and enjoy.

I am a (well) seasoned citizen and a handicapable one at that and can honestly state that trikes are made for someone like me. 🙂
They also made for people that don't want or need or care for a 2 wheeler. My brother has a friend in his seventies that rides an HD Trike and he and his wife have put over 100,000 mile on his.
I am hoping to one day put a sidecar on my Ultra Classic so that I can continue to ride toward my sunset.

Due to my age I have now developed mobility issues so I now have a HD Freewheeler. I admit It does take a bit of time to get to know how to handle the Trike when you come from 2 wheels but you do get the hang of it. The Trike front brakes and rear brakes are linked also in the UK Trikes over 1300mm in width it has to have 2 Hi & Low headlights with a minimum of 400mm apart. The reverse is basically an extra starting motor which I agree isn't that good. I managed to do the North Coast 500 last year without any hiccups but I agree it is more difficult to avoid potholes etc. As they say it keeps my Knees in the Breeze.
If it enables you to keep riding, great! They're pretty common here in the states and Canada.

When I was 17 I did a lot of driving in a Reliant Regal with one wheel at the front and two wheels at the back. To start with it felt unnerving but it was just a case of learning how to drive it. Once the ‘secret’ was discovered it handled surprisingly well and being so lightweight was unbelievably fast from A-B along the winding backroads of my native Cornwall. I have often claimed that that ‘car’ taught me far more about driving than any of my Mini owning friends would have learned. The came to a corner and steered around it I had to set the Reliant up before the corner and drive around it. I’m sure that with time, experience and perhaps a bit of guidance that Harley could become more fun to ride than it appeared at first but even if it does it’s still got all the disadvantages of both two and four wheelers added together.

My wife has a 2015 Can-Am Spyder F3-S , which we rode 4,056 miles this past June, from Boise, Idaho to Minnesota and then up into Canada and back to Boise two-up . Her Spyder is far superior to any trike in performance, safety and comfort ! Spyders are absolutely exceptional 3-wheel vehicles, while being extremely versatile & affordable !

I remember riding a trike, the first bike I remember. Memories are still vivid. Classic 3 wheeler, with a bread bin at the back! If remembering correctly, I was pre-school, in the early 60’s. 3 wheelers afford people, young, old, make no difference, petrol or pedal, an opportunity to have more freedom, a bit more independence. I recently saw a gentleman pedalling a trike, a wonderful sight. It is only our prejudice that judges such courage. It takes courage to go against a societal norm and I for one applaud anyone with the gumption to have a go and just not give up. Go 3 wheelers!

I got chatting to a guy with a custom-built Harley trike a few months ago on the one nice day we now call "summer 2024". His reason for riding a trike was his age now prevented him riding a usual two-wheeled bike with any confidence due to a previous knee injury making holding the bike upright when at a stand all but impossible. Well I have to say I had a good look around the trike and boy what a cracking good looking bike it was.

In Canada and the US, there's a trike called the Can-Am Spyder built by Bombardier (inventor of the snowmobile). Its configuration is opposite: two wheels widely spaced at the front with a wide back tire. I think that the steering MIGHT be a little easier to handle but to be honest, I plan on sticking to two wheels for the foreseeable future. 😁

two wheels in front is more suitable for building the steering.
two wheels in the back is much more easier to build out of an existing motorbike design. more so if no major tilt is built into it.
The best way I can describe how the one I had felt to ride is like a cross between a bike with a sidecar and a dodgem car with out the worry of it tipping over going around a left hand corner. The Spyder was great fun once I got used to it but , just my opinion, if I was going to get another one it would be the Ryker because it's shaft drive not belt drive and I like taking the trike down dirt roads and going bush with it.

As I got close to needing a new hip my Can-Am Ryker provided much needed security and stability, and even now, with two normal bikes, I have kept it as it was so much fun and so comfortable. I suspect two wheels up front makes it easier to judge the widths etc and a clever stability system stops you doing silly speed turns. Three wheels is often the answer in the winter when the roads are slippy and gravelly and I feel completely safe but yet out 'on a bike'. Touring on three wheels is much more relaxing and comfortable over the longer miles and parking so much less of a planned event. I agree, they are less 'cool' but sometimes practicality wins over!

My wife had a Goldwing trike that she rode on a car licence. She loved the colour, (super important if you're a woman) she loved the looks, she loved the way the engine performed, she loved the boot space, she loved that is stood up on its own, but.... She hated the way she had to steer it at low speed, (when you're 5 feet nothing, and have the strength of a butterfly life's hard) she hated being stuck in traffic, and I hated that it took up so much space in the garage! She has since passed her motorcycle test, and now rides a Honda Rebel, which she loves in its entirety, and I love the fact that there is more space in the garage. All is happy in the household. Trikes obviously have an appeal to some people, but not for us.

What I liked is the way HD executed those huge exhaust outlets nested so attractively into the posterior of the 'box' I really think that was the most stylish feature of the machine. I first sat on one of these in 1962 when I had just turned 16; truly an agricultural beast; used mainly by parking enforcement and delivery services here in left side of Canada. thank you for leaving your comfort zone to bring us this review Andy.

Whilst watching this clip, I was deafened by hundreds of people shouting that you completely missed the point of this vehicle ! Right at the end you suggested that it was aimed at disabled riders, and that is partly true. It's not for me, but then I haven't been forced off a two wheeler by injury or advancing years. I may like the idea of riding a motorcycle, but for whatever reason I may not have a full bike licence, these can be ridden on a car licence. It would have been much more useful if you had ridden it from the perspective of its intended market ! Oh, and a Morgan with one wheel at the front would be a rare beast indeed !
All that having been said, I love your reviews and eagerly await some more old classic stuff, maybe 80's sports bikes ?

No for me, but thanks for the test! You summed up pretty well in minute 16' - "All the disadvantages of a car, plus all the disadvantages of motorcycles". I'd add an stratosferic price. Really a rich guy toy. Much rather own a Mazda MX-5 (Miata) , cheaper, no need for protective clothing and one can put the roof up when it rains and turn on the heater/AC. ☺
Nearing 70, been riding since i was a teen, 40yrs in the army now knees and back pain mean i need a trike.
I had an HD Sportster trike built back in the early noughties, it was certainly a taste you had to get used to. In the end I loved it and learnt how to drift it around roundabouts, but like most things, the love came to an end and I sold it as I needed the cash for something else!
I bought a Can Am Ryker last month last month and I am thoroughly enjoying it !! You should try and get a test ride on one and it is much more SPORTY than the HD, Do I miss my KTM YES but I have some physical issues and now I can continue to ride !!
You need more time to get used to the machine than you had. Coming from 2 to 3 wheels is a world of difference, handling-wise and it does take time. I rode 2-wheels for 40 years but arthritic knees and hips mean I can'r hold heavy bikes up or move them around any more. (Last bike was a Triumph Thunderbird Storm.) 3-wheels is my only option for staying "in the wind". Separate parking brake is a legal requirement on 3-wheelers. I do like the look of the Freewheeler, but if O was to choose H-D I would go for the Tri-Glide for the extra goodies!
Another point to note is, as I understand it, if you passed your car test before 19th Jan 2013, then you have a license to ride this. ( Category B1 ) Quite a smart move from Harley to offer these as it opens up their market quite a bit.
If going for a trike, whatever the reason, two wheels at the back are the worst. You don't see where they are going and going thru a corner will push the forces on the one wheel in the front. My dad went from a motorcycle to a can am spyder f3 limited. Changed because of his age in mind and not feeling safe on two wheels because of his body getting older. Two wheels in the front mean you can see how wide you are and that the forces in corners go to the outside wheel. I've ridden it as well, and of course it's much different than my bike, but you can really push it and smash through the corners. Much different than this trike with one wheel in the front.

Basically what I came here to say.
I like the looks to the Harley, but dynamically, things like the CanAm are far better.
I'm in a jurisdiction where lane splitting isn't permitted, so the biggest downside to one of these is the difficulty in avoiding potholes.
The Can-Ams are like the three wheeled recumbent bicyces in that owners often refer to them as a "Tadpole Trike" due to their kinda looking like a tadpole with the large head up front and the tail out back. 🙂
My brother also has a married couple with two Ca-Ams down the same street from him and they ride a LOT. I cannot get one of those as they are so low my handicap would make it more difficult getting off the scoot.

Excellent review. Have many friends with trikes goldwing, vulcans and HD’s and can Ams. You hit the nail on the head. On long straight American highways the trikes are fine, in the mountains they become dangerous with too
Much power pushing straight through corners. The CanAm Spyders are rock solid and safe in the twisties. Each have their place. CanAm for me when I age.

I do love the look of the Freewheeler, which reminds me of the old H-D Servi-car, but there are certainly drawbacks. If you can ride one without a helmet in the UK, I like the idea of popping out to local shops on a hot day, for example, without having to wear a lid.
I've been running a Can-Am Spyder alongside my two-wheelers since 2016. It's become the go-to machine for longish rides in bad weather. Two wheels at the front. Tried a couple of H-D trikes but really couldn't trust the steering. Go try a Spyder...

@@TheMissendenFlyer Not near you, sadly, but there a few UK dealers. We have two Spyders, both bought new from OHG Quads in Devon (we live in Cornwall). The probs I had riding (borrowed) H-D trikes was a lack of front grip in the rain and my idiot tendency to leave insufficient clearance for the fat rear end. Reverse trikes are much better and have actual suspension. If you ever get out west, just say, My wife's Spyder is a much younger more sporty version of course...
Be careful you don't hit a curb, because you're not used to the width of the back wheels. I almost overturned one because I mounted the curb. It was the first and last time I rode a trike.

These aren't my cup of tea, but I must say the new adventure Polaris three wheelers actually look pretty sweet. Glad you tried this one out, you never know what you will like until you try it for yourself.

I've ridden a few trikes briefly and just hated that understeer push of the front wheel. A Can-Am Spyder with two in the front was a lot more enjoyable, though also not anything like a two-wheel bike, but it just felt a lot more controllable to me. I put a good handful of miles on the Can-Am in tight traffic to open back roads. I personally just don't feel like I have the traction needed on a trike. It is nice in extreme hot weather to not have to put a foot down and manage low speed balance crawling in slow traffic.
In 2015, I bought a new CanAm Spyder SE6 RT Limited. I think it was a very nice looking bike, but this purchase was a huge mistake. My previous bike was a 2000 Honda Goldwing SE Anniversary Edition and a lot more fun to ride. I believe the CanAm trike configuration is a much safer machine and CanAm has all the nanny electronics to prevent you from turning over, but at speed in turns I always found it unnerving. And of course you are holding on for dear life as the bike is trying to throw you off. I sold the CanAm five years later with only 5000 miles on the clock. I bought a new 2023 Honda Goldwing DCT Tour last year and I could not be happier. Two wheels is the way to go if you can physically handle the machine. I think it’s great the trikes are offered, however, they are simply not for all of us.
Love the analogy between fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters - having flown both (albeit as a cadet!) and having ridden bicycles and tricycles extensively as a lad (did the London to Brighton on a tricycle once), this sums it up really well. I think you did really well staying on the bloody thing, Andy! The steering dynamics on a trike are 100% counter-intuitive if you've mainly ridden 2-wheelers! Whenever I used to let my mates have a go on my tricycle they would always, without fail, fall off! I must admit I love trikes - I'd love one of those old H-D Servi-Car machines - maybe funds and garage space will allow some time in the future. Yet another excellently honest review - something a bit different, for sure. Great stuff, as ever.

My Dad had one for a while as he was unable to ride a normal motorcycle because of back injuries he is in his 80s now and no longer drinking or riding. Took him 2 months to get used to it but mainly rode on highways and country roads were traffic was minimal, no wildlife, and decent sized roads.
These are actually fairly common here in the states, goldwing conversion s too. Seems mostly ridden by older riders. Maybe there great on USA s superslabs? Lots of storage for camping ⛺️

A horrible looking vehicle. But fully understand they're a liveline for those people unfortunately with medical conditions making a 2 wheel vehicle, impossible to ride. I'm reading that they seem more commom in the USA and Canada, where they have longer, straighter bigger roads, than the UK. Combined with warmer, dryer summers, thus making them a great option. Not for me, at the moment but would never say never haha.

Last time I went to the Harley dealership for spares there was the typical South East rush hour traffic and I passed a guy who had just picked one up new stuck there, unable to filter. I said to the sales person that he might be regretting that decision. The prices are absurd really, since I bought my Harley 10 years ago they have rocketed, and even if you’re disabled given the choice that price range is in line with a lot of convertible classic cars - 60s mustangs, Camaros and Trans Ams, can be had and are items of list and investment. make a lovely noise, handle well and offer the ability to take the family along for the experience, or a mint Triumph Stag, TVR Chimera or Jag XKR would still leave half of that budget to buy a nice bike for the other £15k.
As a 3-wheel Instructor, you would benefit from training. You need to lean into the corners to lessen the tip-over sensation. Also on a trike, unlike a motorcycle, most of your braking power is in the rear! Awesome video as always!

Have just taught myself to ride a combination. Took it really slow to start with. With 1k under my belt am loving it. Would love to learn to lift the chair, so I would be less worried about it happening.
@@davidforsdike4343 we teach that as well. But “flying” the chair turns it back to a motorcycle where you countersteer instead of direct steer. It’s called “Steering Reversion”.

I use to work for Klictronic. We converted alot of Bikes and Trikes for disabled people with financial help from Nabd great people.
Like all Harley cruisers and touring bikes the number one upgrade that the trikes need is upgraded rear shocks and front springs. Makes a lot of improvement in handling and ride. Definitely more important than louder pipes or engine upgrades. The Triglide is a slightly different ride than a freewheeler owing to the heavy front fairing and top box. The amazing thing is a Triglide has more storage with the trunk and top box than a Mazda MX5. As others have said if you ever get a chance ride a can am spyder, the difference between it and the Harley is eye opening b

It's beautifully-made and handsome that's for sure. One of these comes to the Ponderosa some weekends. It's owned by an American lady. I've exchanged a few pleasantries but not asked her any serious questions about it. I guess it appeals to people who want to retain the lifestyle but cannot handle the weight & balance of a big bike. However, if infirmity or disability comes to me I think I'd prefer an old two-seater sports car like an MGB or similar. More fun around corners and a bit more snug in winter with the hood up.

Andy see if you can get a hold of a HD fitted with Landing Gear. Largely rides like a normal bike but you don't have to hold it up when you stop. Not as stable as this when stood still and you have to be careful where you stop but a much better feeling for me if you have to have something that doesn't fall over on its own.
They do kits for the older Rocket 3 aswell so maybe even see if one of them is available?
Being disabled and biking doesn't need to mean riding this thing.
Oh and the Can-am is a much better ride - even though its dynamically flawed its nowhere near as bad as this thing.

Great vid enjoyed that something different Iv been riding bikes for 40yrs own a super naked but I really like that Harley trike the paintwork is outstanding I think it looks cool as I wouldn't mind having a go on one but the 30 grand price I haven't got that kinda dosh laying around!when you said about it feels like it wants to throw you off taking bends and corners they say to move your body weight to way you are turning!like you say you would get used to it after while I would be nervous aswell at first as it's different to what your used to riding!

These are popular with older riders ,where I live in the U.S. I have to say , the low-slung look of this one is pretty cool.
Love the paint job on this particular machine. I've ridden 3 wheelers and liked them more than I expected, but still don't think I'd own one. Maybe when I'm older and a bit more feeble
I like the looks of their trikes. Trikes do require a bit more upper body strength to ride and the one issue many have is that you can never truly avoid pot holes and debris on the road as you can with a two or four wheel vehicle

Andy I always see a place for these. My best mate has a prosthetic leg and rides a can am spyder which gives him all the benefits of what is able bodied persons love about motorcycles. Tbf he is also normally faster in the corners than me! As long as we all love the principles of being out on the open road, does it matter what we ride!

I test rode a Harley trike a few years ago when the Harley dealers first had them, they were a lot cheaper then at £23k. Like you I found the ride over uneven roads uncomfortable, with it jiggling you left and right pendulum like as the rear wheels went into dips. I also found the steering extremely heavy, maybe they’ve fixed that on the model you tried but on the one I tried it was terrible, you’d end up with arms like Popeye. The one I tried had a high rear box, handlebar fairing with sound system. I didn’t find the same problem with cornering that you did about feeling like it would fall over but in my youth I did own a couple of Reliant three wheelers so I’m probably more used to three wheeler handling.

Remember you may get very old one day …and have over forty years or so of riding experiences and memories .
Trikes have a rich history, some where built as a Carry utility vehicle mainly in the USA 😊 as an alternative to side car bikes. They do offer a bit more safety than 2 wheels and are more mobile than a mid sized vehicle. These days it’s more of a novelty and for fun, looks.
I've have had a Goldwing, BMW K1600 GTLE and a, when they first come out, 2020 a GS 1250...all great bikes, except the GS 1250 I loved it, my wife disliked it immensely.....so we looked at the new Goldwing, the one you had, she didn't like the hand grips, common fault....so we tried the new CAN AM RT Spyder and she loved it...she has got arthritis in her knees, this bike will not fall over when she gets on it. Her seat AND hand grips are heated, the rear suspension is self leveling and smooth. Your going on about what you've tried....try a can am with your good lady....IT MAY CHANGE YOUR MIND.......

Thanks for the useful info on the Harley trike, as we’re getting into our 70’s we looked at the trikes, but honestly just couldn’t get over thrilled. We’ve heard horror story’s of trikes tipping etc. and the GoldWing trikes aqua planning on wet roads . Do you get the CanAm trike in the UK?
We still love our adventure bikes, we’ve been riding over 50 years each on our own bike…

Not for everyone but there are people who want and need this type of machine as maybe cant hold up a big bike anymore. Or they just like the looks of it.

Hahaha, fair play 😁There's quite a few around here, but they really only appear out the garage for regular weekend coffee runs mid-summer, when there's zero chance of rain. Not just the HD flavour either, there's also a few Beamers, Wings and Spyders too, there's even one old guy that had a Vucan converted last year. There's also a young guy that works here in town that has a newer Ural that he rides all year round and he brings that down. All beautiful to look at. They are mostly 2 up and the old couples absolutely love being out on them and being "part of something". There's always a steady stream of other bikers going over, admiring the machines and chatting away with them about it. I was lucky and had a quick go on a stunning looking Wing conversion, that one old geezer was happy for me to borrow this year, for 5 minutes around the huge carpark were were in. Like you, it felt cool riding it, but mostly made me feel sick. I lost count how many times I tried leaning into the corners, or looking back at where the wheels were, which made things worse. I'm sure you would get used to riding one, if you spent the time on it. I think if it came down to a choice of either get and ride one or give up biking for good, I think I would buy in. These are definitely not the kind of machine that work well on tight, twisty, and pothole filled roads though, and they are expensive all around, but I certainly appreciate the appeal of them 👍

I love the color scheme of that trike. Simply beautiful. Regarding your assessment of the trike: One ride doesn’t seem sufficient to allow you to understand the trike. One thing I expected you to address was steering. Yes, you said it steers like a car, but that’s not the whole story. You also need to lean your body into your turn to counter the g-force that wants to throw you to the outside. I didn’t see in your video that you leaned into your turns, which might account for why you took your turns so slowly. And turning is not so much like a car as it’s the opposite of a two-wheeled motorcycle: no counter steering on a trike. You pull the bar in the direction you want to go. I think you need to get one of these trikes for a longer-term test and really get to know it. I don’t know if your local Harley dealer would allow it, but if they did, your review could be so much better.

Really interesting watch. A trike would not be for me. But I reckon it was his trike that kept my mate going. Lost his right arm in Spain on his victory hammer got it back to UK got it converted into a trike with foot throttle. They have a place in the biking world. By the way my mate has just had his 80th birthday in 8 years he has racked up over 50000 miles on it. So never knock it kept him in the biking world
Yes I completely get they work in certain circumstances, just not for me at this point in time.
I'd love to see you review a Can Am Spyder. I had a chance to take a short ride on one several years ago and it reminded me of the snowmobiles I used to ride.

The best description of how to handle a three wheeler is you lean into turns on two or three wheels the difference is that you lean the bike on two wheels and you lean yourself on three wheels.
I was talking to the owner of a Goldwing trike one day and learned that as well as the standard fuel tank, the trike had a 10 gallon tank in back above the rear axle. That could be handy on long rides through the Western USA.

To me as a someone with way too many vertebral discs forked trikes look like nightmares on wheels. Not only do they pick up more potholes than all other vehicles with their three tracks, they also make a mix of up-and-down and side-to-side shocks of most of them.
My buddy bought a 2023 Harley Davidson Tri Glide Ultra because his wife said she would ride with him but only on a trike. When we ride together we trade off with him riding on my 2021 Honda Goldwing DCT Tour and I'd ride his trike. It took me a few road trips to get adapted to not counter steering or putting my feet down at stops but after my muscle memory took over his trike was easy and fun to ride. I'm in my 70s and my next motorcycle will be a Honda Motor Trike Gold Wing Tour DCT Condor.

Trike s are great fun , i have owned two one being a Yamaha v max , yes you have to learn a slightly different riding style but once mastered its amazing , to be honest you didn't look relaxed on it and that was the problem , see if you can get another for a longer time you may be surprised

Very interesting video TMF, although definitely agree that it’s a no!! In the UK the main appeal of a conventional Motorcycle is having fun on the back roads, parking wherever you want within reason and the ability to be able to filter. I guess it has its place somewhere and for someone 🤔
With injury 2 years ago, I thought it was going to be the only way u could ride, as my left leg lost strength and I did not think I could hold up my 2 wheel bikes. But I gained enough strength back and able to ride again. But it's an option for those who might need 3 contact points and still be in the elements.

An old geezer I bump into at the coffee shop, Is very proud of his Harley Trike. He is missing a couple of bits. Clearly disabled, Like most old geezers you meet when you ride a Triumph. He used to ride a Triumph. Along with other cool bike's from the days of yore. The "cool" thing about his Trike. Even though there is no way he could ride a regular bike. He can get off his disability scooter and ride his trike out to a popular local bike spot and meet other riders.
When I see him, every so often, he is having a good day. which is pretty cool.
For the rest of us who knows what the future holds. Maybe it will be a "Tesla Trike". and we talk about our old triumphs.

License requirements? Can you ride a Trike with a Car Licence or do you need a MC Licence.
I think it depends on the track of the wheels - if wide enough you can ride on a car licence I believe. And yes, although not for me, I get that trikes work for some special use cases for sure…
When I was young I could never understand why people had trikes but after taking with people who own them the main reason they have one is almost always due to a physical disability. One older rider I spoke to while touring in the USA had a Goldwing trike and said he could no longer keep a normal bike upright due to knee problems. I see a lot of Can-Am's which have two wheels at the front and one at the rear and I see a lot of women riding them. I think it would look better with a Street Glide fairing on it.
I'd probably forget about the two rear wheels... filtering oooppsie would be guaranteed.
Having said that if I had mobility issues I would love it.

Yes I can see the appeal as age leaps up! The desire to keep riding at all costs is to be appaluded. But it is at all costs and far too expensive for me (if I had that sort of money I would go for Goldwing trike). My soon to be confirmed decline will be Forza (boo), but as I said to keep riding at all costs!
I spotted one of these in Stalis while on holiday six weeks ago, parked outside a pub, It did look good in green.
I don’t mind the look to be honest. Trikes have really taken off here in AUS, there’s them of thousands of them. I suspect as us barber boomers are now getting older, they. Find the trikes are a bit more stable and you are less likely to fall off as your muscles aren’t what they once were . Nice video. I do think the rear suspension looked a bit on the firm side

Andy have you tried a Can-Am Spyder? They are a bit weird to ride as well with two wheels up front and one in the back. HD definitely has long history building trikes, we all have to be glad that three wheeled options exist. Our knees won't be holding a bike upright for the rest of our lives, great option to keep the nose in the wind for sure.

I've wondered what a trike would be like too. I dunno, I think it's a great option for riders with mobility issues but I love the lean so much! It's the best part ❤ Having said that, I would go three wheels before giving up riding a bike. Prolly a can-am or sidecar would be my choice over a traditional trike tho. Thanks for riding one so we don't have to 😂❤️

Oddly enough I was sat behind one of these last night in Portimao, Algarve, at a traffic light. The pillion passenger looked supremely comfortable and relaxed. The bike looked good too. Wouldn't want to be on the twisties on one, but across the southern US States, it looks perfect...
Yes as a two up tourer in the US it has some merit for sure....
It's definitely cool. The front end looks a bit strange, might be better with a single headlamp rather than the three lined up. Cornering looks treacherous and when I saw the mini roundabout, I thought you were going for the full turn. The Goldwing trikes look great too and I think they've got a better back end set up which allows them to steer and feel a bit better. Nice to see something a bit different. Thanks TMF.
