6 months ago I noticed a hardened crystallized liquid directly under the right side of the TV that had leaked onto the TV stand, stripping off the finish. Since it's only my husband & myself, I immediately blamed him for spilling something, but he assured me, this was not the case. Fast forward to last night while we were watching TV when a bright flash appeared in the upper right corner of the screen & the screen immediately went black. The sound remains, but the screen is black!

Mosfet D9N40, sure wish this video was more forthcoming, like was this the ONLY component to check, that goes wrong? Is there a hypothesis of what might have even caused it to go bad?
Is this a common problem with these boards I just replaced all my led strips and when I do the backlight test and plug power they all flash once then when I remove power they flash again

Tv is not turning on and I have no standby light. Replaced both the power and main boards. Same issue. With all cables unplugged from power board i am getting the correct voltage to main board but when I check voltage to the LEDs with out it connected it is showing 300+ volts to the first pin and none to the rest. Does this mean I have another bad power board?
Do you have the same voltage on Pin1 when you connect back the backlight to the power supply?

I have same set and I check all the components like musphet,diode,etc for any shock but they all good but still no power..do u think one of the main ic could be the issue Paul's..
