  • So I replaced the IMRC Valve on my 2003 #Acura RSX. All problems resolved, right!? Wrong about 2 days later my CHECK ENGINE LIGHT came back on. I was throwing misfire Pcodes on all 4 cylinders. Oh great I thought? Now what?
So I did the right thing. I ordered New OEM Denso Coil Packs and some NGK Spark Plugs. Here is a short video of installing them. For anyone considering tackling this job themselves, it’s is extremely easy. About all you need is a 10mm socket, wrench and a 6” extension.
If you’ve read this far thank you. Here is where it gets funny. I may not have even needed to replace these parts. Turns out I forgot to hook up a vacuum line, and that may have been the reason for the misfires. Even after checking thoroughly 2x’s after installing the New IMRC Valve I still missed one piece. A good reminder to “TRIPLE” check your work! Maybe I could have saved myself some money and a little time had I been a little more diligent when installing all the pieces back together.

Worst part about this is, I probably didn’t need to replace these parts 🤬
