WHAT A COLLECTION. I have a manhurin Austrian police used PP with matching magazines (2) that’s in about 95+% condition that I just love. What an awesome handgun design and so cool all the variations and history of the pistol. Still being made today!!!!
A super collection of beautiful guns. Thanks for showing 🇳🇱👍🏻🇺🇲
That gold finish is so delicate that your gloves ended all covered in yellow dust of gold !! probably this were gold plated with the mercury and gold dust then heated up to evaporate the mercury...realy healthy job!!!
LUIS ANTOLA FRANCIS I think unlikely, Mercury gilding is usually very durable
@@mayfieldca in my knowledge it is quite durable but in non ferrous materials such as tin copper bronze or brass in iron or steel there are new tecnics that guive a very tenacious finish but a more shiny looks than mercury that guives gold a more calid almost mate finish ,
Your channel is an absolute Treasure mine. Social media continues to delete Nazi history and society nowadays want to erase Nazi history. Kudos to you for presenting these historic gems that belong in a museum. We all must learn from history, the good and the bad. We must all appreciate historic relics. History needs to be learned, NEVER banned or erased. Humanity is prone to mistakes. Humanity also crafts Beautiful art. These fine pistols are the definition of art in both form and function. ❤
So that one without the serial number and beautiful deep engraving..... ummm with grips that are run of the mill.... if it had AH initialed grips.... I think it would be one of the most valuable guns in the world today.... it's just a set of grips away from that classification.
Great documentary Tom. Always a pleasure to hear and see what you have. Thanks.
The PP described at 9:07 as "9mm" is almost certainly a 9mm short ("9mm kurz"), called a .380 in the US, which is a 9x17 cartridge, not the common 9x19 cartridge that is the 9mm Luger (aka Parabellum).

WOW, those pistols are all superb! The deep engraved are just amazing. Thanks for sharing.
An amazing collection. Well done. :)
If you're curious about Otto Marrenbach:
Otto Marrenbach (born July 27, 1899 in Oberbröl near Waldbröl; † August 10, 1974 there) was a German National Socialist politician and functionary. During the time of National Socialism he was most recently a member of the National Socialist Reichstag and managing director of the German Labor Front (DAF).
Life
Marrenbach completed a commercial apprenticeship from 1914 to 1917 and worked for various companies in the steel and electrical industry from 1921 to 1927. Together with his brother Fritz Marrenbach, later also a high-ranking National Socialist, he also ran an electrical shop in Brüchermühle during this time.
At the beginning of October 1928, Marrenbach joined the NSDAP (membership number 100 361) and from 1930 worked as editor for politics at the Oberbergischer Boten. After the "seizure of power" in June 1933 he was appointed chief adjutant to the head of staff of the Political Organization (PO) of the NSDAP. In 1936 Marrenbach became head of the main personnel office of the NSDAP as well as Reichshauptamtsleiter of the NSDAP. In 1937 he also took on leadership positions in the SA as a standard, then senior leader.
After Marrenbach ran unsuccessfully in the Reichstag election on March 29, 1936, he became a member of the Reichstag in 1938 and remained so until the end of the war. As early as 1936 he had become head of the main personnel office of the DAF, in 1938 also its staff chief, he also held these positions until 1945. Following the German occupation of Norway, Marrenbach was briefly head of the “Labor and Social Affairs” department in April / May 1940 Reich Commissioner Josef Terboven. At the same time he was released from the SA in April and subsequently joined the General SS (SS No. 353 162), in which he was appointed Oberführer immediately upon joining. Marrenbach returned to Berlin and from then on headed the office of the Reich Commissioner there until 1945.
From February to May 1942 Marrenbach held the position of head of the NSDAP's main training office, after which he became the party's main service manager. From 1942 to 1945 he was also the managing director of the German Labor Front. In the SS he last rose to the rank of brigade leader in December 1942; Furthermore, he was also appointed head of the NSDAP
Thanks for the background. Would love to do a separate video, but the background is a bit complex. Again, thank you.

I watched your video on the 1911A1 guns made by Singer in 1939, and I remembered that when i worked for Diebold, Inc. in the late 1970's and 1980's I was told that during WW2 they made 5" dual purpose guns for the US Navy. They had also been run by Elliott Ness and by Alan Pinkerton at one point.
takes getting used to this much perfection, thank you . bob
Absolutely gorgeous pieces of art.
I remember in the 70s standing in the Interarms store in Alexandria and looking at some of the engraved, silver and gold PPK and P38s sitting in the center display counter and wincing at the prices. Hindsight, I should have bought a few and tucked them away. :)
I have a pair of plain, blued '70s Interarms Walthers. Do you remember anything about the prices of the engraved ones?

Once again, Tom, you have outdone yourself. Wonderful collection of gorgeous pistols. Thanks for sharing. I was surprised to see a pistol with actual flowers engraved on it. I would have thought that it would be an insult to the masculinity of the recipient in that era. Just shows how little I know about such things. Perhaps it was meant for a high ranking female nazi, or the wife of an important nazi?

Great presentation Tom. Enjoyed that a great deal. Maybe someday I may stumble on to one.
The Man with the Golden Guns.
Outstanding video...Very well done....Thanks you...!
Great video . Thanks for sharing
B. E. A. UTIFUL, thanks for sharing those exquisite pistols :)
Wonderful Collection!!
Thank you!!!
Beautiful guns! As usual excellent presentation!
Awesome. TY.
Wow! Such beautiful guns! Would love to own one some day!
TRULY AN EPIC VIDEO......100%...
Thank you!
As evil and bloodthirsty as the nazi’s were nobody can argue that they didn’t have an impeccable sense of style
They liked nice stuff , even their weapons were gorgeous and were designed with awe inspiring visual impact as part of the whole
Like those cream and lavender dress uniforms and jewel encrusted batons carried by field marshalls
Me 262’s and mercedes benz 500 k sports cars
And the trains ran on time
gibsondrummer US is more evil & bloodthirsty than the whole world combined!

Woooow iv always loved the ppks since I was a kid (it was a Bond thing ) but I never knew they could look so beautiful great vid thanks 👍😃🖖
Your attention to detail is impressive. Good job
Those engrave on those guns look almost the same than those on my german beer mug lid!
I can understand now your fascination with the history of these fine pistols, I am amazed how ...beautiful they are.
Unfortunately I live in the United kingdom so, can not even handle such works of art and death. Having you to show us all about the history and skills of the Walther brand is great.
Your channel is great and your last video about cleaning up the cosmoline on that Browning...lol 😂, I'm Sure you keep your ears in perfect condition hahaha, thanks for the..Giggle.
Best Regards,

Very educational sir.
Every week another video every week another amazing thing I want to own
The most engraved was probably going to
Hitler's replacement.
Just EPIC (again),, never mind the jealous YT warriors
Subscribed as a thank you.
Speechless, Wow the history! If they could only talk
When you see those beautiful pieces of art you wonder why Goering was carrying an ordinary S&W pre-model 10 revolver at his capture.
Goering was just “different” all the way around. He probably associated it with American movies or something bazaar that we’ll never be able to know or understand. Or, maybe he just liked the simplicity of a revolver? Just my flawed guess. -Kelly
Maybe Hermann thought he would make a good impression with an American gun ? Maybe he had bought off people with the other guns or maybe he just felt like wearing the S&W that day ? :))
@@nicobas773 It is interesting to speculate. It wasn't loaded, so being a subtle way of ingratiating the Americans seems plausible.
All I can say is, if I owned one of these golden masterpieces, I wouldn't be carrying it around either!
Great video. I guess this is no big deal, but if you were wondering, the style of engraving on the second one is an acanthus style.
wow, would love to own atleast 1.
New subscriber here and man is that a beautiful collection
Unreal mind blown..
Your last “gold” engraved PP may be a real late ac pistol (1945), taken off the assembly line and engraved. The rear sight is a late type. The reason the engraving could have went “over the logo” is probably because this was a real late ac PP where there was no slide logo. And, there are no proof stamps. The trigger guard pin is also a pin used in earlier PP’s (or a pin for the recoil spring assembly/frame) as it does not partrude out of the frame slightly as one made for this type of frame does. A common thing with late ac PP’s. You even suspect it was probably still in the factory at the time it was liberated. Just my best guess. -Kelly
Good points Kelly.
Beautiful guns. I also love engraved guns and own a few. But my collection of engraved guns run on the lower end meaning they are astras, llamas, and a couple of stars.
สวยมากๆๆๆเลยครับ👍👍👍
25:07 is my favorite one.
These things are like functional art
Wow !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Every video = Epic 😂
The 9MM with the carved scales is a stand out for me but all are show stoppers👍
What a wonderful collection. Years ago I saw a heavily engraved I think PP with what I recall was Ivory with AH on the grip. Made me wonder AH
It does exist
I almost bought an H&K USP 45 pistol because it had an Eagle N firing proof and a date code of AH. AH means made in 2007. I liked the Hitler reference.
one day I wish to be able to afford one of these
Is it possible to identify specific engravers if not by name but by specific tells in the engraved design?
Sure, but they are all dead by now and records are destroyed. Would be cool to know who did what though!
Salivating 😛
I want them all
Oh forgot it may have been PPK With metal AH on the Ivory grips, on Gunbroker believe it or not. Oh that's the gun you showed that I saw
If You, viewers, could chose ONE from that table, which one would it be?
Me, I would probably chose the one from 7:57 PP in 9 m/m, serial n° 976465.
I think that this wooden grip with oak leaves is incredibly classy, and unique.
I love also the over-all look and this "plum color" trigger (why is it like that ?)
PS. THANK You for showing all these beauties Mr. Whiteman, hope they wille stay in your safe!
That must suck if you family name is Marrenbach and your granddaddy listened to the name Otto... The one at 23:05 is most beautiful...i think. Did the engraver not put a mark of himself on the gun? Thanks for this interesting and just great presentation...just became subscriber.
Gold looks good
Nice collection of high quality handguns! To the other extreme, do you have a Mauser Volkspistole in your inventory - a 9mm pistol produced for the Volkssturm?
I have owned the rifles but never the pistol. Must be very rare if I haven't seen one
Engraved "soft".
Prior to final heat treatment?
Thanks for another excellent video Tom.👍
I keep coming back to this upload...what a beautiful gun. What did the germans pay for a normal engraved walther at the time. The gold and ivory does it for me...if I will ever have money to burn I would commision a custom walther that way..
James Bond worthy
Please Tom, slow your hand movements, Randy can't keep up with the movement: hasten slowly, and we can see a lot more.
Or, put them in a stand and slowly move the camera around the gun.
Os 100/100💪💯
Tom, were Mausers HSc and Sauers 38h also in such golden/silver engraving ? Or were just Walthers as most desired guns...
I am not aware of any factory engraved Sauer 38's or Hsc's. I have seen some that were engraved post factory though.
Of the oak PPK, would you have any close ups?
The 3 rounds in the presentation box are NOT dummy rounds. They are the 3 fired cases used during proofing.
Wow somebody restart my heart!
That Gold Washed one looked almost like it was Gold Damascene, though I've never hear of a Damascene Walther.
if we had the same gun laws here in my country that you have in the states id spend all my money on these type of guns
I think you should donate one to me thank you.
I 2nd this !
an engrave rzm ppk is coming up for auction serial range 800k is that factory or post war?
I have seen 2 engraved RZM's. Both were period engraved, but not factory. The one coming up is not factory in my opinion. BUT if period engraved it is still worth a nice sum.
The RZM was ordered by the party and I dont believe they ordered any engraved. But the end user could get that done by private engravers. There was a large number of engravers in Zella - Mehlis and Suhl.
@@LegacyCollectibles i see you saw it as well lol. The eagle i hadnt seen engraved before so thats why i was curios if it was post war or done during . Its interesting tho being initialed makes you wonder who and why lol
what is that like 200,000 worth of walthers on that table?
The best pocket pistol 🔫 ever made !! , I had 3 of them from Germany 🇩🇪 not engraved tho !
It would be profoundly painful to own a gun this nice but not be able to shoot it. It is kind of like driving a new car off the lot knowing 40% of its value will be gone in three years.
This should be in pay per view
I remember a pawn shop back in 1985 had an ingraved Luger. It was silver & had the SS on the one side of the grip. They were asking $700 for it. Wish I had bought it. The owner said he had a larger collection of Nazi Luger's. Florida 1985
at 3:10 de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Otto_Marrenbach this is who was presented that pistol as a congratulation for being promoted to SS Brigadefuhrer in 1942
Wow is all I can say
I don't believe the 3 rounds are dummy rounds but rather cases from test fired rounds.
The pattern you are calling “vines” is , I believe, acanthus leaves.
I'm not sure that PPK with party leader grips is authentic.......I'm going to need you to send it to me for further inspection.....
Handsome. Maybe I missed it, but what are the white grips made of, ivory, horn??
Ivory
What is the range of prices for these pistols?🤑
@@charlierubenstein2886 15k to about 30k
Did the engravers ever leave there mark? Not to disiamler to a proof mark?
Not everything in the US is the biggest. If I recall right Conte Maluzzi from Verona Italy owned 125 Walther PP/PPk pistoles back in 2005
Maybe the HG was for Hershel Goldstein? 🤪
How much would they be worth on today’s market ?
Epoch
Maybe the Germans at the factory expected Patton so had a couple done up in advance? 🤪
I saw this evening an engraved PP 7.65 allegedly SA marked on GUNBROKER you may find interesting. For investigating purposes.
Just looked at it. Too Early to be SA issued. And the engraving is not factory. The Walther factory did not do that style gold inlay around the edges. And if you look at the Oak leaves and then watch the video. I mention "you can even see the veins in the leaves".
Notice the Gunbroker (fake) does not have that level of detail.
@@thomaswhiteman4261 It had none of the detail your video showed.
🔥🤲😍
