@25:24 you said you had no idea why they went to the dimpled side mags. It was easier to pull the mag out (if it was stuck) using the dimples. Great videos. Thanks for sharing.
seems to me i heard or saw decades ago that prewar 25's were a special order item, and somewhere in the low to mid 5 figures on the total numbers of 25's sound familiar!
I wonder how many of these rare PPK`s are floating around in Pawn Shops, etc. with people thinking they are just 1980`s/ 1990`s/ 2000's Interarms PPK`s
Great video. Thank you! Now I know so much more about my Walther Model 1 D.R.P. 6.35mm and my PPK, Eagle over N, Kal-6.65mm. Too bad the Canadian government will melt them down for scrap when I move on to the great blue yonder.
Myself, I have 2, new even got 3. one, 6.35 PPK, plus one 6.35 PP I not know, if the production quantity you say are real, just know, they are rare But I know about model 6, sometimes there a new examples found. No fakes, real ones. Myself I have 3 of them, one more was on last auction at Kessler in Switzerland
Tom, when did they start making push button mag release 9mm’s and what did they do to the frame to solve the cracking problem? Thanks so much for your channel!!
I would love to be able to collect these types of guns WW2 is a special time in our history to me the most interesting time in our country, I feel I should have been born then and lives during those times. My great grandfather escaped the Nazis from Czechoslovakia so the story u was told.
According to Mark Felton's video Hitler's lost gun and carry gun was a Cal. 25 Walther PPK, and may have been the gun Hitler killed himself with, see "The Mystery of Hitler's Missing Pistol". 🧔
@@Love_rainy_days the 25 had been shown on a tales of the gun episode and is in a private collection somewhere! Stalin may have had a 25 Walther but not that one!
D.R.P. German Reich Postal. Too bad the US Postal Servicemen and women, Federal Employees, are not issued pistols today to protect themselves and the mail they carry. ;-(
That was what happened a few years back in American when a Filipino-American US Postal mail carrier was shot and killed while on duty by a white supremacist and anti-Semitist.
I can whole heartedly guarantee you, not a single one of these pistols will ever dip in value. Buying one of these is probably one of the safest investments you could ever make. There’s only so many of them, and they are rare in their own right. As the years go on they will go up, accounting for inflation plus some.
Many of our customers shoot their collectible firearms. As long as you're careful and clean the item afterwards, there should be no issues firing your WW2 era guns!
Drumroll is why I come back. Good stuff there.
The most beautiful guns that have ever been produced.
I think the Colt Police Pocket '62 could dispute that, but it would be a close battle.

Well. I’ll never own one at those prices but awesome to see!!
Try browsing around pawn shops and small mom and pop gun stores. You might be lucky and find one reasonably priced.
I can never get bored with your videos, you can make them as long or as short as you like. Keep up the great work because you are very entertaining.

I am a 50 year collletor or more . I find your channel very educational
Great video as usual. Love the .25's and other early PPK's. Did the 760179 PPK have a grooved hammer or loaded chamber indicator?

When these say 9mm is that a .380 as we know it?
Yes
Then there's 39 of them because my buddy got one and his have a swastica in the handle. I have a pic of the gun.
Tom, are those PPK's ACTUAL 9mm or 9mm Kurtz? I have never been aware that Walther made true 9mm (Luger) PPK's.
380 acp - however they are inscribed 9mm (see video at approx 2045)
As much "9mm" as Largo or Luger/Parabellum/NATO. Only called "380" in nonmetric countries of which Germany wasn't.
😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
Placing the pendant (flag) on your car would probably get you labeled as a neonazi! 😂😂😂

Please ease up on the Walthers. I would love to see other goodies.
How about the small Beretta Model 34 in 32 or 380. Those are well designed reliable single action pistols used in WW2.
The war started in 1939.
PP's don't look as good as PP/K's
He keeps saying that the prices keep going up he's talking about inflated prices

You need to change the name of this channel to “Jealousy Collectibles”
Is it wrong that I want a ww2 gun but I want to actually shoot and use it?
