    Ive been using this wheel and wheelbase since November. Coming from a G29, its a huge upgrade. Would highly recommend for the price

      I went from the g27, to the belt driven csl elite. I swear it was like going from a toy to an actual real wheel, was insane. Now my alpha mini really makes the csl seem like a toy just from the weight comparison. About to bolt up my alpha mini for the first time. 😁

    I've been using my G27 for the last 10 years. Finally ordered a Moza R9 V2. I'm keeping my g27 pedals because I did the inverted mod + spring mod with a rubber insert in the break that somewhat simulates load cell. I already replaced the shifter with a TH8A a while back when I got a handbrake.
    I'm nervous I should have ordered the R12 watching videos waiting on my R9 to finally ship

    Thanks for the impressions. Still looks like the Simagic Alpha Mini and GT Neo is a MUCH better option for the money. BTW... I found the the feel on iRacing with the Alpha Mini base is much better if you set everything to zero in Simpro Manager except FF and Max Torque. I might experiment with some Smoothness.

      @@cocodabricot3251 Wow. US price the Simagic is only about $100 more.

    The thing i dont like about moza as others have pointed out is its robotic. It doesnt feel as natural, smooth or nice. The motors are also 16 pole motors which means they just cant be as quick with it. They have more notchy feel and just dont compete with the likes of the 5 pole motors like simucube and simagic. Only 2 really using that style of servo.
    But moza is starting to get a better feel imo in the lower end range then fanatec is.
    At the price its very gpod for sure.

    I has the R9 + GS alcantera + Fanatec V3 pedals. In-game @40%. There is no effing way anyone can run over 50%% and make quick turns!

    • @JACKZERYT
      @JACKZERYT  Месяц назад

      @tigerbalm666 I maxed out the R9 and my issue wasn't strength, but Clipping. I'd have run it at 100% but unfortusntley it clips to easy, it's really down to relative strength and what your used to, if you use that wheel for let's say 2 years, you'll notice muscle build and your settings will slowly creep up as your able to handle more ffb and subtlety.
      FFB and personal body strength, (I guess in this case upper body strength) are greatly connected, and seen as upper body strength differs from person to person this is where the different needs come in to play.

    "I do prefer stronger myself" yet only a few days ago made such a big deal that 10nm on your simagic was more than enough Make up your mind bro!

    • @JACKZERYT
      @JACKZERYT  3 месяца назад

      It is.more than enough..... but I would much rather a 12 or 15nm wheel base so as yo have the high end peaks covered, so if I do hit a kerb or pushing into understeer, I don't max out the wheel.
      ND I said it was more than enough in general, which if you ask anyone they'll tell you the same, they're alpha mini is a beast.
      So to be clear.
      I'm personally looking for a base in the 12nm to 15nm range,
      I won't need it all. Its just to have Fidelity and detail where the others wheels can't be Use they're tapped out.
      The Moza bases 9nm is not comparable to the 10nm of Simagic. They're more than 10 percent different.

    • @WittyGooseRacing
      @WittyGooseRacing 3 месяца назад +1

      I doubt anyone can really feel 10 percent although the numbers pumped out by Simagic is above 10 at peak torque. Closer to 13nm on the mini apparently. The Asetek gear seems interesting at similar price points but if you’re spending more then Simucube is where it’s at 🙌

    • @JACKZERYT
      @JACKZERYT  3 месяца назад

      @WittyGooseRacing yeah I say it's probably a little higher than 10% like if you sat down, tried them side by side the moza is so much easier to force to the bump stop. And just much lighter when maxed on on the turns. I think it's lower holding force aswell is a factor so thrush be known could be in the realms of 20 percent. Still I can't fault it for what it is, it's a smooth wheel. Heck out my.review when it's out :)
      Simucube I hear is good. That's one reason I like simagic cus I guess shamelessly they're doing a clone of the simucube, I'd love to try em side by side one day.

    Can you make a video showing your wheel settings in moza pit house?

  • @MrStyx44
    @MrStyx44 3 месяца назад +1

    Thanks for this nice video. I had a Moza R9 for a year, coming from a G29 and it was a huge upgrade. But even if I was not using high ffb settings, I felt like I need more nm to feel all the other effects better. Looking at your gameplay, I can see that at least one or two times in your lap, your ffb is clipping and that's exactly why I think 12 or 15nm is actual the sweetspot. On my side, Im about to pull the trigger on a Simucube Pro 2 for absolute futurproof ^^

    • @JACKZERYT
      @JACKZERYT  3 месяца назад

    I run the Moza 21 and yes other wheel bases are smoother, but I actually prefer the raw effect, once setup, of the R21 over say the Asetek Forte, which I’ve spent a fair bit of time on. I have to stress the importance of setting these Moza bases up in the software correctly.

    • @JACKZERYT
      @JACKZERYT  3 месяца назад +1

      Hmm Yeah there is a sweet spot somewhere with setting it up, and it always differs person to person and sim to sim too.
      Thanks for your perspective man!

    I thought about getting a moza but was reading of problems of people losing ffb + i really prefer the look of the simagic bases. Im about to bolt it up, once i go inside i have to drill holes in my desk to mount it😂. Really considering a p1x pro but they are never in stock. Guess i should just order it and wait.

    Im still on the fence on what i want to upgrade, too. I think it will just have to come down to how much bang can i get for my hard earned dollar. I do like the look of that R9.

    The Mocha R9 is a solid option and alternative to the Sim Mini. It's a shame that Moza pedals are less than impressive. That was the main reason I went with Simagic because staying within a single ecosystem was important to me. Nice to see good competition though, we all win when good options exist!

    • @JACKZERYT
      @JACKZERYT  3 месяца назад

      Have you tried the R9?, I believe that the price difference should give it away, but I'd you had both in front of you, you'd find out why the mini costs more, it's significantly smoother. They really are different products at different price points, I think the R12, would be a fair fight for the Simagic Mini.

    The gearchange sound (Wheel) is awful loud. Even a G923 is not so noisy. How much money Moza gave you to love this crap?

    • @JACKZERYT
      @JACKZERYT  3 месяца назад +5

      I mentioned at the start, this is not an advertisement. Nor have I been paid to make this video.
      Yes they are load, but my microphone is right above..., they do come with dampers that are meant take some of of the click out byt so far its not an issue for me. Although there's room for improvement with the shifters, my opinion is thst it's good gear, if it was priced in the 1000s I'd have a different opinion. But for entry-to-midrange it does what it says on the tin.
      Like the difference between moza's gear and simagics is marginal, although I do think if they removed some cheap plastic bits on the back of the base, and at the bottom of the GS wheel, personally that would be my only gripe I have, surely asthetic but then again, relevant when the wheel costs over 400euro.
      I firmly believe Moza have listened to the community regarding the loud shifters and I'd like to think they're working on it.
      But this is a first impressions of a sound quality product at the end of the day. Check back in for my review for the nit picking details I plan to give as well as lot of positives that are rightly owed
