I feel the vibrations right when I wake up from sleeping. I can feel the energy running up my spine and into my skull, my inner eye is filled with static and occasionally geometric shapes. Sometimes my sheets and pillow are soaked in sweat from generating so much heat.
I had this intense/superfast but subtle "vibrational" experience too but in a unique way. It was through hearing the most powerful Sanskrit mantra Mahamrityun jaya (also called Moksha mantra) on my headphones. I did not even recite it, did not focus on its meaning. I was focussing on typing a long comment on youtube with my upper body (and spine) in a horizontal position (on the table) since the laptop was in the middle of the long table . Immediately (in 2 min) the audio went down, vision became blurry (i am sure taste and smell also went down). In yoga it is called transcending the 5 senses or Prathyahara. After hearing the mantra for 30 min, I sat down ( spine became vertical), suddenly these powerful/superfast vibrations gripped my body. I felt as if I was inside a concrete stone/box and my head on top of it. I could not take a deep breath (voluntarily) because there was this feeling of disconnect from the body. Really a scary "accidental experience". Could not see much either because the vision was really getting blurry now . I thought, this is it and wouldn't make it back to the normal wake state. But quietly got up (which led to vibrations rapidly spreading to my neck and head as well), somehow made it back to my bed (since the vision was not clear) and lied down. In the morning, it felt as if the body got completely rebooted and it was the best feeling ever. I think the secret is keeping the spine in a horizontal position instead of vertical while intensely focussing on something and hearing the Sanskrit mantra. Yes, this “vibrational” experience “almost” confirmed/validated the nondual Vedanta that we are not mind and body. We all are the same immortal, conscious and omnipresent self. Since “I” was trying to analyze during the “vibrational” experience, ahamkara was activated and it was trying to identify and reconnect with the body. So, this whole “vibrational” experience could be called ‘savikalpa samadhi” instead of Nirvikalpa samadhi experience (which requires transcending ahamkara as well or the complete disappearance of perception of subject and object split)
I had a ceremony where I experienced the vibration and my body was shaking uncontrollably. I thought when I started experiencing the vibrations during meditation I assumed it was part of my experience. I’m now more sensitive, thank you for your guidance.
i was also vibrating for a couple of hours when i took a hero dose of shrooms. i understood it as we are all made of vibrating subatomic particles - kalapas, and i was able to access/sense it. and everytime i thought a thought, the frequency slightly changed - i could really feel how changing our frequency can change our reality
Dear Forrest, Great Video! I live in Southern India. I am planning to take kriya initiation from an authorized teacher in the lahiri mahasaya lineage of maheshwari dubey. Just had a doubt on my mind. Would be grateful if you could clarify the same. Firstly, Was Maheshwari Prasad Dubey as a guru in the lineage, authorized to teach Kriya yoga from Nitai Charan Banerjee? Nitai Baba had many disciples. And secondly, would you recommend to visit Dr. Sudhin Ray, I believe he is the only teacher still living to give kriya in this lineage?
I once was listening to the hemi-sync gateway experience tapes and i felt although im slipping from my bed and moving backeards. It actually felt like my body is being displaced in the air. But i didnt move an inch, i was laying down at the same place. Could you explain this
This was a great one- Awesome. So many aspects to ponder today- I will have to listen to this again. The vibrations described are exactly what I developed in the Monroe OBE training SO many years ago- scared me to death!! Took me six months to shut them down- I just had no guidance to understand them. Like Tesla said, it's all "energy, frequency and vibration." Swirling patterns of energy, too! That's all we are. But that's a lot to understand and A LOT when you actually experience it. I remember the booming sounds and my body shaking and rocking, as my spirit tried to exit before OBE.
Whenever I went into out of body (asatral projection was what I thought it was) I would feel an elecrical current all over and then be lifted up out of my belly (very tickle-ish, not a good feeling) and then I'd be flying with a being behind me as an escort taking me to the place for that lesson. I didn't remember any sound, but the current and the ticklish feeling like someone tickling your belly and you retract. I wonder if this means i'm not as auditory as i am 'feeling' person? it's so fascinating.
This is the first time I've seen this addressed so succinctly and with tremendous insight on your part, Forrest. Thank you for this 🙏 For the benefit of all sentient beings my brother 🙏
ooooohhhhhh that is what that is. Wow. I now know what Om feels like in the spaces between, around and through my physical self? That is a beautiful way of understanding it. It happened when a sensation of popping occured around my solar pexus in downward dog while doing an uddiyana bandha practice. Then the vibration went full blast for a few days, then gradually settling into an equilibrium in a week or so.
The vibrational state also occurrs when starting with lucid dreaming practice and being more aware during falling asleep and waking up. I used the very loud sounds as a trigger to "separate" in the beginning of my lucid dreaming practice. But over time the loud sounds became more and more silent and meanwhile they are barely noticable at all. Do you have any idea if I can get them louder again or are they this silent now forever? Thank you for the very interesting video!
Mr. Knutson I have had different practices on and off for most of my adult life and teen aged years and I am 54 now. I have learned so much from your channel about how to consistently change states rather than hitting “it” now and again without knowing why. I am very appreciative of this channel and all your work to share this info. Thank you for this explanation. This happens to me daily. Sometimes, I make weird involuntary vocalizations and laugh strangely too. I think it is related. I'm going to take your recommendation and try talking to my subconscious.
I’ve been feeling energy intensely for a few years now especially when I meditate it feels as if my hair is blowing in a wild wind but the funny thing is I am bald haha😂 I can feel chakras also as a fizzy electrical charge on the hands and a pressure in the third eye, also cobalt blue lights show up in meditation and in things in real life too, always fascinating for me , sure do love your guidance and teachings brother

Thanks, Forrest, i had also wondered about this state/experience and could not find anyone who could answer my questions regarding the body vibrating. I now presume that the gentle swirling movement felt around the spine and gentle swaying motion is also a manifestation of the vibrational state.
