If you did not purchase the hardware from us I suggest contacting the business that sold the Uniwell Cash Register or the manufacturer of the scanner, Honeywell. no tech support available where I am .. :( ... can I just ask you specifics ? like when it comes to getting the option to spell the product I keep seeing numbers rather than letters... I was given a step by step sheet btw Im in the caribbean Trinidad and Tobago... so please please help :D

Is it possible to use scanner without cradle, I mean e.g. to pair with laptop or PC?
Yes. However if you want to do a lot of scanning without returning it to the cradle for recharge you should probably buy the regular Honeywell 1202g.
