This is what the hobby is about: pure, enthusiastic enjoyment of every aspect of our pens and their accessories. I, too, am happy spending an afternoon going over my pens and inks, appreciating their beauty and considering their many possibilities 🖋
Hi Jane, thank you for this personal video and I answered way too many times „of course you need!“. So I guess I joined your penthusiast club as well ☺️ I can only agree: do what brings you joy, if it’s collecting (like you and me) or selling pens or just having one pen and thousand inks to play with.
@@MrsAlchemist agree! I think we’ve all have thought do we really need this pen or ink? 99% of the time I say, YES, there are times I’ll think on it, usually it’s a sign that I either have something close to the ink/pen. The club welcomes you 😁
@@fountainpensinksmore3290 thanks for the warm welcome! 🎉 I need to add: if I found a very comfy pen for my hand (with a good nib), it could be that I buy it in different colors and nib sizes and so far it sparks joy! So all doubts were unnecessary ☺️
@@fountainpensinksmore3290 can agree with you on Pilot 823! And Twsbi Ecos are comfy for me and luckily they come in a lot of colors ☺️ Exactly, collect what you love and not what’s on trend now 💕
@@MrsAlchemist love Twsbi Ecos! I’m thinking of putting myself on a FP and ink diet next year. A lot less buying, more using/exploring inks and FPs. I have a lot of FPs. Of course I’ll buy a few, I’m still thinking on what I’ll allow myself.
I have a couple of Chinese wing sung vacuum fillers, which were inked up 6 months ago with sheening and shimmering inks, and to my surprise they all wrote perfectly without a tiny skip when their nib touched the paper.

Yes, I agree! When in the studio I’m always playing, using and everything else.

@@MrsAlchemist Pilot 823 I have 2, both with different nibs. There several others, not coming to mind. Always collect what you love!

Pier Gustafson has something called a paper cabinet and he lines them with pen trays and he has like over 5000 pens in his paper cabinets
Well….. that is impressive!
I have zero room for a cabinet. Sounds really nifty!
Pens, ink, paper learns a penlover what the art of living is. You are a wonderful artist.
@@annemarievandevordt4101 artist I’m not. I love my pens, enjoy having fun with them.

@@schawo2 I do love it when a nib can handle any ink.
Hi Jane, please share a video of your fountain pen collection x it is the most incredible collection I have ever layed eyes on 🙏
@@naomifreya1481 thank you 💖
Question: are wanting by brand?
Just look at the hands. They tell the story.
@@schawo2 that they do.
