Thanks for the invite, that was a really good time and I was stoked to be a part of it. I'm so glad Lucas walked away from that crash, that could have ended much worse! 😶 Also, Yoann is the man! Don't let this video fool you, he would destroy me in a real enduro race where the stages are 10-15minutes long and not 15 seconds.
@@RD1R, but Phil's not just your garden-variety RUclipsr, he's (or was) a pro DH rider... That would be awesome seeing him competing in a full on enduro race.
That’s how I used to ski moguls. Find the one spot that’s long enough to make a GS arc, launch over a bunch of moguls into the next spot, and keep going. I hated making all those little turns. I learned it from skiing with Tommy Moe.
Phil and Yoann together... guaranteed quality content, two of my favorite crazies!! Damn that was humbling to watch. Here I was proud of hitting a 5 foot drop last weekend hahaha
@@tomroth5115 he may not be racing anymore but he still is a pro I know your point was that he could go back to racing, though, and I'm not arguing with that. just saying...
He’s definitely still got the skills that’s for sure- the difference with the pros comes in the form of discipline and consistency. And that shit gets old 😂 there’s no pressure like pro pressure.
@@iamverycoolyes4484, base on the GT website, Force is their AM trail bike and the Sanction is their Enduro bike. Yoann even said that in 1:05 of the clip.
@David Landrigan, the first time he did Crabapple Hits, he was on a short-travel trail bike in a blind run. His Evil The Calling had 135mm rear and I think at most a 150mm fork when he hit the jumps. On top of that he was wearing a half lid and didn't do any test run, he just needed a tow in. That tow-in guy was on a Giant Glory DH bike with full gear and even then Phil's last jump was higher than his. He's really from another dimension... 😂😂😂
@@lamefart the force ended up being a better bike, hence why the sanction isnt around anymore, the 29er force is a full blown enduro, its a serious weapon going down.
Uhm Phil was a WC DH pro and he still did very well this year on Sea Otter in Pro class (scoring in between the big guns). He doesn't just have the skills, he also has the horses.
Not surprised at all by Phil holding his own. You don't place top 10 in the DH Nationals in the Pro division without being an insanely good rider. Seeing him out there next to some top level EWS riders just goes to show that what he's doing on his channel is very high level, and not something you're going to see on other RUclips channels. I LOVED seeing all of them watch each other, and laugh like that. FULL SEND!
Phl is a pro... people clearly don't realize he still competes in pro DH now and then (Sea Otter this year he was more than respectable). He ain't Minnaar, but among this group it's quite reasonable he is among the best in skills and horses.
Phil & Yoann colab series would be awesome.
Though the same
These guys really smash
Make this happen
DO IT!
It's just random gaps at well known trails/parks.

That scrub at 5:45 doe!!!
The best lesson I learned from Phil was that if you don't like a section, just gap it.

When Yoann laughs I can't help but smile. Him and Phil spending a day together is solid gold.
Phil is such a good rider. Would love to see skills with phil and pinkbike more often!
That was the smoothest recovery from a huge crash I've ever seen. I wish he'd gotten up and screamed PARKOUR.
😂
Damn Phil! Good job showing the locals what's up!
Phil you made a few new fans today
SKILLS WITH PHIL slaying it Lately.
Lately? Come on! More like forever 🤟🏻
Yeah true but now ... even on others' channel he is the star. More shenanigans.
Lol Phil was leading the pack on a trail bike. This guys really something else

Sound like the joker 😍
Man this Phil guy has some skills. If only there was a place to learn those skills.
Perhaps even with him
Yeah that would be awesome if he started a RUclips channel called @Skills With Phil
When the youtuber steals the show - sick Phil!
Phil and Yoann are the dream team. Those dudes are all around f'n awesome! Super positive and super rippers
Phil's the next big thing.
well Phil was a pro dh racer
Had to watch this twice. Phil and Yoann are the dream team. We need more of those two together.

Phil is just on another level. So calm, "ill figure it out".. then just sends INSANE shit
Phil repping the rest of us youtubers well..... even though we have 1/100th of his skill 😅
we also lack his awesome hair, i suspect it gives him magical powers.
Looking at this, Phil could still be a pro if he wanted. He's a mad lad 🤙
I think he was a pro. Or at least a pretty successful racer.

There are very few things in this world that I enjoy more than hearing a frenchman say "As you can see, you need a sheet ton of speed.."
Lol
Last year the whistler gaps video was my favorite pb whistler video, this year it’s going to be as well!
The way he laughs and cussed too is so halarious
“You haf to caredy a sheeet ton of speed”
I have to sub to Phil after this. That first try on the rock gap, BALLS OF STEEL!
i really forget how good phil is
Phil Kmetz should be a pro again and I love Yoanns infectious enthusiasm all the time.
No, no, he needs to stay a youtuber :P
@@Alcoholic1he can still make vids 😉

Amazing skills going on here. That crash was brutal but he seemed to walk away from it just fine!!

When the RUclipsr brings it with the pros 👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽
But Phil is a pro as well. And pros that actually run quality youtube channels are few and far between so double thumbs up!
I love how Phil just casually coasts through and hits it
I'm a road biker,I was never really into this kind of riding but I gotta admit they make it look a load of fun and laughs
Phil really uncages the beast doesn’t he...
Its always great to watch Phil ride & send it.
At 9:43 the sound that bike makes as it's whipped into the ground is crazy. I can't believe that was only a bent pedal...
What the guy said at the first gap is such good advice.
Phil Phil Phil ... you are the man. So freaking natural! "oh there's a pebble there let's SEND IT!"
Having phil on this is such a good idea, it makes the atmosphere seem less competitive do it again plz
