Speaking in tongues is not taught, it is a gift given by The Spirit and waited and received by faith in Christ.
Every Child of God born in the spirit in Christ Jesus and filled with the Holy Spirit has all the spiritual blessings of God.He has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in Heaven (Eph 1:3) its all about faith(Heb 12:1-2) in Him and desiring His gifts(1Cor 14:1). Many believers use the excuse "He has given some different gifts so the gift of tongues might not be part of my mine". No it's a plain lie, all who's inhabited in the spirit by the Holy Spirit has not one, not two but every gift which manifests in its own time according to Him, including tongues.Tongues is the main evidence of the Holy Spirit's presence(Acts 2:1-4)it was the first sign the Holy Spirit used to make His arrival known to the early church. Paul by the Holy Spirit said to the Corinthians"I wish that you all spoke with tongues"(1Cor 14:5), which meant all in Christ have the gift but some are not making use of it b'cus of doubt, little to no faith, too much logical thinking,ego,sin conscious and fear of angering God by mocking Him. Some also use the scripture of 1Cor13:8 taken out of context cus of the word "cease" as an excuse to not pray in the spirit. Where the entire scripture there simply means without LOVE all the gifts means nothing, 1Cor13 uses a definite article "The Truth" and describes Love as a noun, "Love is kind....never fails".Who is "The Truth"(John 14: 6),Who is Love(2Cor 5:14), In other words without Him all these gifts means nothing. It goes further to the last verse about Love,Faith and Hope.His Love compels us to have faith in Him so we can see the Hope set before us.God has time everything(Eccl 3:1)in His time His gifts manifests for His Glory. You have the gift of tongues(Eph 1:3), desire not only the gift but also the Giver of the gift thru The Holy Spirit (Jesus who is Love 1Cor14:1).Have faith looking to Him for manifestation(Heb 12:1-2).Believe that you already have(Mark11:24).Pray with thanksgiving in the spirit that utterances will be given(Eph 6:18-19), honor Him with praises and worship Glorifying His Name(Heb 13:15) don't worry yourself with logic(Philp 4:6).You have it so therefore in faith RELEASE IT. God be with you 🙏🏽
