Hi I have a on grid solar system installed. As on grid systems don't help during power cuts we have a separate normal inverter with one 12 volt battery. I wanted to know can I install this hybrid inverter to be used during power cuts ? I want to have solar charging as backup charging option in case the power cut is due to adverse weather and taking longer than usual.

Another option is to add a normal inverter and a normal battery in the input from your normal grid, that way, your grid power will charge the inverter for backup.

Hello Anees, yes that's possible if you have the proper number of solar panels to generate adequate output as per the inverters Max supported input. You'll have to select the Solar only mode in that case. However, please note that the inverter will take power from grid if the solar power falls short to support the total load in your house. I didn't understand your question. If you keep it in hybrid mode, it will automatically switch between solar and grid power.
