I just have to comment! I’ve been a mostly silent watcher for a longgg time (we are around the same age so I was always so comforted by the college vlogs) and it’s been so nice seeing you post frequently again! My literal comfort creator, so glad RUclips makes you as happy as it still makes us 🤍🫶🏽 -fellow Texas gal ✨
If you like normal people (which I think you will!) definitely give Intermezzo a try!!! It was my favorite book I read last year and you definitely will get used to the lack of quotations I promise!!
I also want to read LOTR this year! Honestly a decent portion because of how much you’ve talked about the series this year. Also lol at you pre-vlogmas talking about little women
bear town! omg! that whole series is just amazing! that last book... I swear... every sentence just felt ominous! I was certain something horrendous was about to happen at any moment! I was TENSE!
After finding your channel, I read my first book in over 2+ years and have now started reading "Rafe" after hearing you talk about it in an older video 😌 (it's so good)
I adored Vespertine! ❤❤ It’s my favourite of Margaret Rogerson books, but I was so sad to find out that there will likely never be a continuation of the story, since Rogerson wrote it during covid and was struggling with her mental health at the time. 😢😢
I love your videos. So comforting. i also watched this after my work day was over. I hope that you get to all of the books that you want to read this winter.
omg gentleman in moscow is so good!!! new tv show was release in 2024 adapting it which I also enjoyed - if you fancy treating yourself to watching it after reading
i havent made it to beartown yet but fredrik backman is one of those authors who i know im always going to love what they write! sad, but in a very soul touching, heartfelt way if that makes sense.
It took me a minute to recognize The End of Loneliness because I read it in German (Vom Ende der Einsamkeit), it’s one of my favorite books of all time!! I especially enjoyed the relationships between the main character and his siblings, I’d definitely recommend it!
i hated red white and royal blue and loved boyfriend material. ive had more misses than hits with alexis hall but for whatever reason boyfriend material just really worked for me, it's cute, witty, angsty; pretty sure RW&RB was also going for that but utterly failed imo. i hope you like it! :)
a gnetleman in Moscow is on my list, too. I wasn't too interested until I saw the preview for the show with Ewan mcgregor and it had a TOOOOTALLY different vibe than I THOUGHT it was going to have and it jumped up onto my list!
theres another book by alexis hall called 10 things that never happened and it is genuinely one of the most ridiculous romance plots ever but bc of that it was so silly and fun so if u like boyfriend material id recommend that
I did Normal People on audiobook which made it much easier. I didn’t realise it had no quotations until I saw people saying so in videos so I dodged that bullet. 😂
Ahh Normal People is one of my favourite books of all time so I’m excited to see what you think of it!! I thought I’d struggle with the lack of quotation marks too so i decided to borrow the audiobook from my library app so I could listen and read at the same time and it really helped!
I find alexis hall’s writing so funny so if you like boyfriend material I recommend the ‘winner bakes all’ series from them it’s setting is the great British bake off and they’re sooo good!
Don’t be scared of Normal People. If you don’t like the book ditch it and watch the show. The show is soooo good and many prefer it to the book. Great tbr!
i read normal people and gave it 2 stars, it was annoying. after that, i tried to read conversations with friends and failed, and then again with intermezzo. so i have officially given up on ever enjoying sally rooney 😮💨 personally, i don't have an issue with her writing style; in my opinion, the issue is with her characters. they have absolutely no personality and all her books are character driven, so it's just boring.
I really don‘t like Sally Rooney‘s writing style and I find her characters to be sooo pretentious. I gave Normal People 3 stars and I am currently reading Intermezzo by her and I think it is just oookay. I am excited to see what you think about her books 😊
Sally Rooney is one of my all time favorite authors and the no quotations are weird at first for sure but I swear after a chapter I didn’t even notice it and the writing.. like WOW she is poetry

Whitneys on a roll omg

If you let him, Backman will destroy your soul. This has been a PSA
fredrik backman is one of my favorite authors. highly recommend Beartown and A Man Called Ove!!
bear town! omg! that whole series is just amazing! that last book... I swear... every sentence just felt ominous! I was certain something horrendous was about to happen at any moment! I was TENSE!
These videos give me life after a long day of work ❤
I love Little Women but I don't know how much of that is nostalgia! That edition is so cool!
After finding your channel, I read my first book in over 2+ years and have now started reading "Rafe" after hearing you talk about it in an older video 😌 (it's so good)
the golden compass > Narnia. waterstones has a new bind up of the trilogy that is GORGEOUS!
Beartown is one of my favorite series of all time!
your hair looking so good

gregory is my fave bridgerton book, he’s so unhinged it was fun

I would recommend listening to normal people on audio! It definitely helped me because I didn’t have to figure out the no quotation marks thing lol
Vespertine is so so good!
i have also been thinking about reading beartown this winter. i feel like this is the year

I LOVED Vespertine, was a 5 star for me!

Thanks for the tip!
I started the Hobbit and honestly in enjoying it so much. I play the Hobbit ASMR on the background and it's so good
Genius idea
@@JulEnglefaris I hope you enjoy it
If I remember correctly Les Misérables is one those novels that you can read a chapter a day and be done in a year.
vespertine is soo good but yes it is quite dark, after reading it i was like i think she’s my favourite author.
Good luck with a gentleman in moscow... i was supposed to read that for a book club a few years ago and dnf'd it. Hope you like it more than I did!
I find alexis hall’s writing so funny so if you like boyfriend material I recommend the ‘winner bakes all’ series from them it’s setting is the great British bake off and they’re sooo good!
And even if you don’t like boyfriend material I still recommend the winner bakes all series, cos boyfriend material wasn’t my fav
I love your sit down videos ❤
Don’t be scared of Normal People. If you don’t like the book ditch it and watch the show. The show is soooo good and many prefer it to the book. Great tbr!
Great TBR! Not that i should add more to mine but definitely might after this 😅
Ohh I wanna read Bear Town this season too!!
The communication issues in normal people were annoying but the show is more bearable because Paul mescal is hot
I really love The Hobbit book. And all The Hobbit movies 😭
2025 is definitely the year of finishing series🙌
no i am not okay with the cats interrupting

BOYFRIEND MATERIAL IS MY FAVVVV ❤
Didn't you read Little Women during Vlogmas?
@@JessPeachee yes this was prefilmed for december and then i decided to do vlogmas! so it got delayed
@@WhittyNovels gotcha. That makes sense.
Normal people is veryyyyy accessible! Maybe think about it as a messy romance
i just started a book i bought in 2014
I’ve still never read Sally Rooney 😂
HONEY GIRL!
I could not read 'Normal People'!!
Omg Realmbreaker…I’m having flashbacks on your channel
Can’t even hate, I’m still on series I started 5 years ago 😔✌️
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I couldn't get through Normal People.
slay queen
