Why is abyss fixated on Mondstad instead Sumeru?
The status in front of the church in monstadst had this words translated to 'door to celestia', i believe thats a portal wjere they will face the heavenly princip/3m
there are theories about mondstadt having a connection to celestia bc of the message in the statue of the seven (in front of the church). there's also that island that's not on the map that was a temple for the god of time, that has ruins underneath it (these ruins are under water and do not show up in the map) and it's connected to the thousand winds temple (i think it was also meant to worship istaroth) point is, there are many things pointing towards mondstadt having a link to celestia. so maybe mondstadt is the beginning and the end of our journey
cant say albedo was planted in mond since alice is the only person who knows his creator gold. It's like calling your mother's best friend "aunt" when they're around bc they see each other as siblings. (but yea, still sus) durin attacking mondstadt might be the effect of the abyssal corruption(?) since abyss' goal is to F with celestia and mond is literally the gate to celestia.
honestly, i like the idea that Kaeya's mission as the last hope is just to carry on living peacefully, and that Albedo's mission is to understand how and what makes him truly human now (namely, his emotions and humanity, relationships, etc). We probably won't meet Alice until the next region of Mondstadt is released, but even with the little we know of her, she views the people of Mondstadt as family and Gold is her friend (?), so i don't think Gold herself would make Albedo attack Mond, unless maybe to see if his desire to protect the relationships he built is strong enough to stop him? idk the characters i'm looking forward to having/seeing most are Gold, Alice, Skirk, and anyone else related to the Hexen... Mona's thing lol. I'm also curious of anyone in Diluc's network (still waiting for someone to be affiliated with Dawn Winery like him... it can be me Diluc I'll join your team)
side note, i appreciate that your videos are rather short and concise. I don't have a lot of time to read the lore or watch videos, so shorter ones are much nicer to see
After the 3.5 event quest, I ought to believe that Monstadt being the city of freedom is a secure haven for the group of Witches and their successors and many others. Albedo and Klee are there because of Alice and Barbato's connection. Lisa also chose to settle there. Kaeya was sent there I think coz it's much safer to hide his identity.
Do you remember during the sumeru archon quest we see the same boxes of unknown God near irminsul and we know both irminsul and khanri ah are deep underground so it is possible that they were closer to each other and the people of khanri ah have saw something about gods so they challenged them and heavenly principles killed them so no one knows about the truth and some of the boxes might have come near to irminsul
8:40 A Geo Tiara is missing as well. So the Geo Tiara would probably have something to do with the Ancient Civilization of the Upside-Down City in the Chasm, the Dendro Tiara most likely has to do with Khaenri'ah and the Anemo Tiara has something to do with whatever Civilization is hidden under Cider Lake.
Hi! A german viewer here! I personally wouldn't translate 'Nachtvorhang' to 'Night Realm' but to 'Curtain of Night' meaning the approaching darkness of night. This however doesn't take away from your great theory! 😍💙
Also Dämmerung isn't exactly dawn, it could be, but not always. Dämmerung is twilight, so it could be either dawn or dusk. Dusk is called Nachtdämmerung, while dawn is Morgendämmerung. I'd translate it as "the night curtain is the nemesis of the twilight"
wait! mond was ruled by deccrebian and venti rose to godhood later. Kanriah and mond doesnt seem to have coexisted at that point. But monstat sent its army to destroy monsters to kanriah so they seem arguably close.
While I did notice early on that the Khaen from Khaenriah could be read as خائن in Arabic I didn't think that riah could possibly be رياح (it didn't click at the time since I assumed that middle eastern influences would be exclusive to sumeru so I wasn't thinking too much about it early on but with everything we know about sumeru now it makes sense) Though besides the name, one other thing that came from our history is the use of the phrase Khemiya for Rhinedottir's form of Alchemy For those who don't know, Chemistry as a science originated from the middle east The word Kemiya (كيماء), or specifically Al-kemiya (الكيمياء) literally means Chemical in Arabic Won't go into too much details on the historical events to keep things simple but eventually it became Alchemy in English before Chemistry Honestly this just makes me even more excited for the new Dain quest and to learn more about Khaenriah to see what else they include from middle eastern history/language It's fun to notice references to things I'm familiar with culturally in media I like Great work as always Minsleif!
@Yuna Moonlight yep with that bit of info as well as the lore of the ruin golems it all makes sense now I thought the Khemiya part was probably a coincidence since clearly the research team wanted to use the origin/root of Alchemy in real life which is AlKemiya in Arabic due to its history However the rest I thought was probably unintentional I'll have to keep my eyes out for future khaenriah lore with this in mind from now on
This is a very copium take. All accounts in the game about Khaenreah say it was a proud nation and an aspiration for the others, yet because of words that sound more or less the same you think it means "traitor [of the] winds". Not only is the name not even grammatically correct in Arabic to support this idea (it should be الرياح الخائنة or خائن الرياح but definitely not خائن رياح), the very nature of their nation doesn't support having such a name, this is more a name for a person or a gang of bandits, and definitely not one of a proud and prominent nation. Also the word Kemia now means chemistry, but that wasn't always the case. It was just alchemy at first, and later the science based part that we now call chemistry separated from alchemy but kept the name Kemia. The non science based part kept the name alchemy but was called Khemia in Arabic.
Dainsleif also says that he will go against Albedo and stop him if Albedo ever goes out of control. So in the future we can expect Traveller and Dain vs Gold or her other creations alongside Albedo
Could pimon be the forgotten god of time by any chance. She always had some links with time. Like only appearing on the menu screen when time is stopped and everything is frozen but she keeps moving. And also the chasam quest it seems the time was relatively fast for her than other persons present there.
Wouldn’t she be resistant to the changes then more than anyone else. Also, it’s thought that the voice at the end of sumeru AQ. No confirmations yet tho but that makes the most sense.
Wow, of all my time in genshin, I never knew khaenri’ah was an underground nation. I always thought of it as this highly advanced technological wonderland, all sunny and bright, the good guys. But after learning of this, and their connections to the abyss in the caribert quest, it feels like a complete 180 from what I knew about them.
Having shadows under water doesn't automatically means a ruin underground. There is Shadow all over Liyue sea like Wangshu Inn, Dihua Marsh. Lingju Pass, Qingxu Pool is basically all shadows.
6:33 Chlothar Alberich also has a stylized version of the same symbol on his clothes. AND more importantly, it's also rather similar to the symbol of the Adventurers guild, as you can see on the clothes of any NPC adventurer.
*What if:* Mondstadt will be destroyed, but instead of falling into hate and vengeance like the people of Khaenri'ah, they will forever wander the vast wilderness of Teyvat, protecting innocent travelers, merchants and adventurers from the Abyss, Hilichurls and Treasure Horders like the Dunedain people in LOTR
Amazing theory Min ! I can't wait to learn about the secrets of those underground places below Mondstadt & that nation has always been a central point of Genshin's lore with Khaenri'ah.
Theres a lot of red flags towards the destruction of mondstadt even Dainsleif emphasizes this a lot, far into the future mond will experience a great calamity wiping out everyone even their beloved archon plus the fact that literal Khaenri'ahns are amongst them, mond is basically like a ticking time bomb waiting to explode, everything is so calm with mond for now...because later on it will be catastrophic. They will meet their demise at the hands of The Abyss order
Well also the fact that the Abyss Sibling descended on Khaenriah first and then Khaenriah met it's ultimate demise which ultimately made the sibling choose his/her path with the Abyss Now the Traveller descended into Mondstadt first, if Mondstadt meets it's ultimate demise somehow then the Traveller might choose his/her ultimate allegiance after that event.
@@xsupremeyx9923 thats what im thinking too i think mondstadt will be the next "khaenri'ah" this also brings possible death flags to venti since im assuming he will attempt to defend mond from the aAssault of the Abyssal forces, and i think Albedo will be the catalyst for the destruction of mond he'll be like Rheindottir 2.0
Let's goooo W theory Min. Gold is definitely a super interesting figure like with the Heart of Naberius what happened to it and what made her essentially disappear.
2:22 to add onto this, Dainsleif talks about if albedo were to destroy Teyvat that he’d do anything to stop it. Like as in- it holds a lot of weight, especially since Dainsleif is known for not directly interfering with the “flow of time” within Teyvat. Either way- I still love all the Khaenri’ahn lore and ur channel. It motivates me to make like- catalogue docs of my fav Khaenri’ahn characters: Ie: Kaeya, Dain, Albedo.
I always vaguely thought that the shadows found in the coasts of Teyvat waters were somehow related to the ruins below, particularly in Tsurumi and Watasumi. So, this vid reinforces that. I am now more certain that Khaenriah may be the whole Teyvat since it was stated in Enkanomiya that the ancient civilization was found throughout the world. Khaenriah may also be responsible for the domains in Teyvat. Also, perhaps Khaenriah is continuously fighting against descenders since it (and humanity) were created by the first descender, Phanes. And that maybe Abyss is also an alien force that can be considered Descender which corrupts and transforms creatures.
Perhaps Khaenri'ah isn't exactly a single nation even. (I kind of have the irrational urge to go and count how many hilichurls there are to make an estimation for not full-blooded Khaenri'ahn citizens. But of course I won't do it, because that would be an absolutely ridiculous undertaking which probably wouldn't even yield any viable results, because Hoyoverse most likely didn't keep stuff like this in mind and just randomly placed Hilichurls literally everywhere.)
@@yunamoonlight1015 Well tbf, referring to hilichurls is kinda iffy because from the clue in the ruin golem in the desert it is implied that transformation into hilichurl is a result of some curse that hardens skin and abnormal hair growth (prolly eleazar), so anyone having the curse MAY become a hilichurl. I was also specifically basing off on the underground ruin architecture from Decarabian/Stormterror's Lair, Sal Vindagnyr, Liyue Ruins, Tsurumi Underground Ruins, Enkanomiya, and Sumeru Rainforest Underground Ruins (desert ruins kinda have their unique architecture due to high civilization by Deshret). So im expecting similar architecture from fontaine til snezhnaya. Unless Natlan has different ruin architecture like in the desert. Sorry for the long reply im just excited abt all these similarities XD Also, it was said that the Jinn are descendants of the Seelie race iirc from the Liloupar quests, and we know that seelie are everywhere as well.
venti seems to have something against us as he has no excuse to tell us about khaenri'ah like zhongli is bound by a contract, ei arrived last minute and i cant remember nahida's but like venti please
Heyho German bloke here with a very minor nitpick. I would translate Nachtvorhang with either night curtain or night veil. The first would be the literal translation while the second makes a little more sense within the context. Haven’t really heard anyone use Vorhang as a word for realm though. Not sure if this changes anything. Btw. I love that you go out of your way to use the correctly pronounce words like Mondstadt. For a native speaker it sounds much more natural this way.
My no. 1 genshin theory is ofc paimon is the unknown god and the reason she appeared out of no where to “help” the traveler she only wanted more Info to destroy and take over teyvat. To make it a living hell. Which makes the unknown god a shapeshifter
And we should also not forget that the abyss twice made a coordinated attack with hilliturals on Monstad first when we were busy fighting Devalin and and second in Diluc story quest and here is the thing during the first attack both the grand master Jean and Waraka were not present in the city
YESS thank you so much for confirming ( as far as im concerned anyway) that there is something underneath monsdtadt! Ive thought that since first starting the game!!
it's quite simple. I had a theory some time back (I haven't even started sumeru quests) that Celestia, the thing really high up in the sky....is a PRISON. The second god that came and defeated the Primordial one was actually an interstellar being who destroyed their own world and had to flee to Teyvat to hide from it's fate of death which is to be sealed by The Traveller twins (who aren't from Kaenhiah, but are interstellar travellers) and maybe the god/woman we see at the beginning of the game who traps us here, maybe because we, as the travellers forgot our goals due to erosion or memory loss. Celestia (the thing in the sky) now rules Teyvat and was keeping the 7 archons as their last line of defense against the traveller twins but the archons (most of them) seem to have realized that it is a trap and are hence, giving their gnoses away. The Prison holds the Primordial one and the seven shades who are much weaker now due to constant corrosion. Anybody who ascends to celestia is kept there, brainwashed to fight for selestia when the time comes. In the end, monsters will rain from the skies and the Archons will side with the traveller. As a by product of winning the war against celestia, the whole 'God' thing will be over and Kaenhiah will rise.
I do kinda buy into the idea that Kanri'ah and Monstadt are two societies that split during the primordial era, but I have some beef with how you described the two splitting. You have said that Monstadt "accepted to be controlled" but I would not describe it that way. Monstadt has always valued freedom (and has always been free or fighting to be free), whether under the aristocracy or all the way back to the primordial era. In the primordial era, they were under Istaroth's care (we get hints of this from the "Time and Wind" quest), and since Istaroth is the Shade of Wind and Time, she care for freedom because "wind" (or anemo) has always represented freedom. We also know that when the Second Throne descended on the world, Istaroth fought for "freedom" from their "rule". Another thing to note is that both Monstadt and Kaenri'ah care deeply about freedom from oppressive/divine rule. The difference is that Monstadt always chooses to revere the gods who "rule" them (Barbados, and in the past, Istaroth who both barely seemed to rule, let alone control their people), while Kahnri'ah wishes to be free of divine rule entirely.
In the video about bevore sun and moon, it's said that "If there was hunger the heavens would bring down food and rain. If there was poverty the earth would bring forth its riches. If melancholy were to spread the heavens would reply with their voices." If the other shining shades, like Istaroth, have a second element, then this could indicate which elements these are. I would assume Dendro, Hydro, Geo and well Istaroth is often referenced with female singers in the soundtracks, so the voices could be a nod to her. I say second element, because there is a theory that the other three shades are the gods of life, death and space, since together with time these are the limits of human life. There is a video on this by IslandXD titeled "How Paimon LEAKED Her Own Identity" that talks about the shades and what powers they might (have) possess(ed).

there are theories about mondstadt having a connection to celestia bc of the message in the statue of the seven (in front of the church). there's also that island that's not on the map that was a temple for the god of time, that has ruins underneath it (these ruins are under water and do not show up in the map) and it's connected to the thousand winds temple (i think it was also meant to worship istaroth) point is, there are many things pointing towards mondstadt having a link to celestia. so maybe mondstadt is the beginning and the end of our journey
cant say albedo was planted in mond since alice is the only person who knows his creator gold. It's like calling your mother's best friend "aunt" when they're around bc they see each other as siblings. (but yea, still sus)
durin attacking mondstadt might be the effect of the abyssal corruption(?) since abyss' goal is to F with celestia and mond is literally the gate to celestia.
honestly, i like the idea that Kaeya's mission as the last hope is just to carry on living peacefully, and that Albedo's mission is to understand how and what makes him truly human now (namely, his emotions and humanity, relationships, etc). We probably won't meet Alice until the next region of Mondstadt is released, but even with the little we know of her, she views the people of Mondstadt as family and Gold is her friend (?), so i don't think Gold herself would make Albedo attack Mond, unless maybe to see if his desire to protect the relationships he built is strong enough to stop him? idk
the characters i'm looking forward to having/seeing most are Gold, Alice, Skirk, and anyone else related to the Hexen...
So the Geo Tiara would probably have something to do with the Ancient Civilization of the Upside-Down City in the Chasm, the Dendro Tiara most likely has to do with Khaenri'ah and the Anemo Tiara has something to do with whatever Civilization is hidden under Cider Lake.
i absolutely was NOT ready for kokomi wagner 💀💀it looks so cursed why did you do this to me
I'M SO EXCITED FOR ALL THE LORE IN 3.5!
10 hrs to gooo
It’s ok
Well that explains why there are lots of ruins all over Monstadt and north of Liyue, like where we fight Duvalin
Hi! A german viewer here! I personally wouldn't translate 'Nachtvorhang' to 'Night Realm' but to 'Curtain of Night' meaning the approaching darkness of night. This however doesn't take away from your great theory! 😍💙
Ahh thank u for this!! ; - ;
Also Dämmerung isn't exactly dawn, it could be, but not always. Dämmerung is twilight, so it could be either dawn or dusk. Dusk is called Nachtdämmerung, while dawn is Morgendämmerung.
I'd translate it as "the night curtain is the nemesis of the twilight"
I love genshin lore so much, can't wait to see what gets revealed in the new Dain quest.
I feel like the reason Mond is so simple besides it being the tutorial area is because it's primed for being destroyed to create a new map.
wait! mond was ruled by deccrebian and venti rose to godhood later. Kanriah and mond doesnt seem to have coexisted at that point. But monstat sent its army to destroy monsters to kanriah so they seem arguably close.
While I did notice early on that the Khaen from Khaenriah could be read as خائن in Arabic I didn't think that riah could possibly be رياح (it didn't click at the time since I assumed that middle eastern influences would be exclusive to sumeru so I wasn't thinking too much about it early on but with everything we know about sumeru now it makes sense)
Though besides the name, one other thing that came from our history is the use of the phrase Khemiya for Rhinedottir's form of Alchemy
For those who don't know, Chemistry as a science originated from the middle east
The word Kemiya (كيماء), or specifically Al-kemiya (الكيمياء) literally means Chemical in Arabic
Won't go into too much details on the historical events to keep things simple but eventually it became Alchemy in English before Chemistry
Honestly this just makes me even more excited for the new Dain quest and to learn more about Khaenriah to see what else they include from middle eastern history/language
It's fun to notice references to things I'm familiar with culturally in media I like
Great work as always Minsleif!
Well, since we now know that Khaenri'ah is literally located beneath Sumeru the arabic references make sense! Damn, that was an insane lore drop!!!
@Yuna Moonlight yep with that bit of info as well as the lore of the ruin golems it all makes sense now
I thought the Khemiya part was probably a coincidence since clearly the research team wanted to use the origin/root of Alchemy in real life which is AlKemiya in Arabic due to its history
However the rest I thought was probably unintentional
I'll have to keep my eyes out for future khaenriah lore with this in mind from now on
@@Moon1tan Same!!! I swear, the lore of this game never stops to amaze me!!! ^^
It's showing the water is deeper there. The map shows topographic elevation
@@Scienzkid See that's what I was thinking, however since it's Mond, it's not unlikely it couldn't be both :333
In Alice's Teyvat Travel Guide, Zhongli hinted that underwater Liyue used to be a bunch of mountains but somehow got sunk during the Archon War :>>
6:33 Chlothar Alberich also has a stylized version of the same symbol on his clothes. AND more importantly, it's also rather similar to the symbol of the Adventurers guild, as you can see on the clothes of any NPC adventurer.
4:58 seeing Wagner like that caught me off guard
mark my words tomorrow's update's lore drops are gonna be insane
you weren't wrong
You were absolutely right!!!
It is also very suspicious that our journey starts in mondstadt and ends in khaenriah
Ok that Wagner caught me off Guard 😂 🤣 💀
Same 😅
Albedo is just great idk what to say
Well also the fact that the Abyss Sibling descended on Khaenriah first and then Khaenriah met it's ultimate demise which ultimately made the sibling choose his/her path with the Abyss
Now the Traveller descended into Mondstadt first, if Mondstadt meets it's ultimate demise somehow then the Traveller might choose his/her ultimate allegiance after that event.
@@harukinakamura6630if he dies I’m going to lose sleep over it😂😂
i loveeee the production of ur vids + ur soothing narration it makes these so pleasant to watch
Thank you so much!!
I speak arabic and only now i noticed that Khaenriah is driven from the phrase "the betrayer of winds" 🤣
Let's goooo W theory Min. Gold is definitely a super interesting figure like with the Heart of Naberius what happened to it and what made her essentially disappear.
I never thought kanreah had so much connections to Mondschdat! Very nice video!
It motivates me to make like- catalogue docs of my fav Khaenri’ahn characters: Ie: Kaeya, Dain, Albedo.
yay new minsleif upload!
Ok but the domain in caribert seems alot like enkanomiya
Awesome video, and I do appreciate a lot that you properly pronounce Mondstadt as MondSHtadt. Hardly anyone else cares to, not even the game.
As a native german speaker, it actually took me off guard for a second to hear it pronounced correct! xD
venti seems to have something against us as he has no excuse to tell us about khaenri'ah like zhongli is bound by a contract, ei arrived last minute and i cant remember nahida's but like venti please
YASSSSSSS GORL lore goddess ❤❤❤❤

Can i just say you're always sooo pretty huhuhuhu...
Gurl I wanna be as pretty as you 😭
I adore you so much for what you do. May you get all the best things in life. The love and passion that you do is inspiring.
Oh and the Loom of Fate has a Statue of the Seven depicting Barbatos chained upside down, the patron god of Mondstadt.
خائن also is a farsi word means betrayer
And ریاح or other typeرایحه means smell
Video: Khaenri'ah is an underground nation
Me: THE NETHER IS IN GENSHIN IMPACT?
I think i have a glimpse of what's to come. Specially when finally arrive at fontaine
Yes ive noticed those dark shadows within cider lake .. im curious about that part as well for a long te now.
Dark/light units would be dope like epic seven moonlight units
that was a good explanation definitely deserve a sub and follow well done with the animation also😎
I do kinda buy into the idea that Kanri'ah and Monstadt are two societies that split during the primordial era, but I have some beef with how you described the two splitting.
I love your vids they make so much sense and I enjoyed watching this :D genshin lore interests me so much for no reason

Sumeru has Indian influence.
Aranyaka is a part of ancient Indian Vedas .
And in sumeru music we hear an Indian string instrument called Sitaar meaning seven strings which the instrument actually has

It's really nice how you try to pronounce Mondstadt correctly! I don't think any other creater does this.
In fact she does pronounce it incorrectly, it's a German word "st" should be pronounced as "sh" Not "J".
And "D" is almost not pronounced at all. So it's Monshtat
