I hate to say it but this is the first list from What Culture I'm not a fan of. A lot of these situations are "imagine how scared" or "he must have been scared". Those kind of sound like guesses and assumptions, even if they did admit it was a scary situation for them. For instance wrestlers taking big dives aren't always met with fear, in the heat of the moment they execute the move because if they think about how it could go wrong, they'd lock up. I know this because it's a question I posed to Rob Van Dam, a guy who knows about crazy dives. Where's Ric Flair in a plane crash on this list? That's more terrifying than facing Lesnar. There was a girl named Janet Boyer Wolfe who died mid match and the three others in the match were arrested and nearly charged with manslaughter, that's frightening. At 17 years old "Mass Transit" Eric Kulas wormed his way into a match with New Jack with no training at all, and 50 stitches was the result. Just seems like there have been far worse examples out there that aren't left to assumptions.
Man watching Big Show(A.K.A The Giant) slowly leave his feet, and fly through the air back in the WCW days was almost scary. I can only imagine how his opponents must have felt.

In regards to #1, the fallout was immense. Considering that Vince used Shawn as the key figure in one of his dirtiest double crosses (the Montreal Screwjob), the fact that he shamed Shawn like that was just awful. Shawn's back injury was thought to be career ending at that time. Shawn had come to grips with the fact that when he left that arena he would never be able to wrestle again. One of his few requests was that after Tyson knocked him to the mat that he be left there in peace. Vince told him that they wouldn't drape the t-shirt over him as a parting favor and a show of respect for all the work he'd done for the company. Then again, we all know how little Vince cares for his talent.
I think you can actually make a good case that the neck injury might have been something good for Stone colds carreer, now it sounds silly first, but remember, back than, to keep him up, he was allowed to fuck with next to everything, he didn't wrestle much, but he just stunned whoever the hell he liked, crashed shows and matches, destroyed cars and all that, I think it was a major point that sparked and helped the vince feud. Without the injury I doubt they would have but so much attention on his destructive behaviour, of the "I don't give a fuck" persona, he would have wrestled a lot more of course and everntually lost here and there too, but with the injury looming he basicly dominate, because he had too for a while.

I always hated what happened to Stone Cold. He's one of my favorite wrestlers. Also the Miz was pretty scared of the Undertaker and looked like a deer in the headlights when he entered the ring. The Miz years later admitted how intimidated he felt and how Taker is the only wrestler to send chills up his spine.

I was in Iraq in 2004-05 when WWE came over. I was on a small FOB called Paliwoda, about 20KM west of LSA Anaconda (later known as Balad Airbase). Big Show, Charlie Haas, Eddie Guerrero, and a couple of the DIVAs came out to visit us. We took mortar and rocket fire on a regular basis so for them to come out and visit was a big deal for us. We were passed up quite a bit by USO tours because it wasn't "safe". And as fate would have it...while we were doing our Q&A with them we took indirect fire. For his size, Big Show pretty much out ran all of us to the bunker! If you watch the DVD extra's from the Tribute to the Troops you can see one of my Soldiers giving the rocket motor to one of the DIVAs later on when we reconvened in the gym area. Good times...

I think it was chris jerichos podcast that he was on when he said that when he talked to floyd before the match he said the only way to make it look real was to make it a shoot and literally intimidated floyd into breaking his nose during the promo before the match where it happened

In regards to #1, the fallout was immense. Considering that Vince used Shawn as the key figure in one of his dirtiest double crosses (the Montreal Screwjob), the fact that he shamed Shawn like that was just awful.
Shawn's back injury was thought to be career ending at that time. Shawn had come to grips with the fact that when he left that arena he would never be able to wrestle again. One of his few requests was that after Tyson knocked him to the mat that he be left there in peace. Vince told him that they wouldn't drape the t-shirt over him as a parting favor and a show of respect for all the work he'd done for the company.
Then again, we all know how little Vince cares for his talent.

I think you can actually make a good case that the neck injury might have been something good for Stone colds carreer, now it sounds silly first, but remember, back than, to keep him up, he was allowed to fuck with next to everything, he didn't wrestle much, but he just stunned whoever the hell he liked, crashed shows and matches, destroyed cars and all that, I think it was a major point that sparked and helped the vince feud.
Without the injury I doubt they would have but so much attention on his destructive behaviour, of the "I don't give a fuck" persona, he would have wrestled a lot more of course and everntually lost here and there too, but with the injury looming he basicly dominate, because he had too for a while.

Now you mentioned the war, his only honourable feat - but what happened after? Joe Frazier helped campaign for him to get his boxing license back, he donated money to the man, and how did Ali respond? I almost don't want to finish this video after that stupid Alicia Fox comment. She's one of the best female performers on the roster and has been for quite some time. It's not her fault she's never had a proper feud and always had to be put on the back burner for things. If you find her matches pointless, you'd be right because they never lead to anything, but don't be so delusional that you can't recognize she's a fierce competitor.

Jeff Hardy is and always will be the best in my opinion... He knew how to entertain better than anyone. Screw the pranks, the speeches, and the matches, we want to see wrestlers do crazy/dangerous things all the time, and that is exactly what Jeff did.
I always hated what happened to Stone Cold. He's one of my favorite wrestlers. Also the Miz was pretty scared of the Undertaker and looked like a deer in the headlights when he entered the ring. The Miz years later admitted how intimidated he felt and how Taker is the only wrestler to send chills up his spine.

I was in Iraq in 2004-05 when WWE came over. I was on a small FOB called Paliwoda, about 20KM west of LSA Anaconda (later known as Balad Airbase). Big Show, Charlie Haas, Eddie Guerrero, and a couple of the DIVAs came out to visit us. We took mortar and rocket fire on a regular basis so for them to come out and visit was a big deal for us. We were passed up quite a bit by USO tours because it wasn't "safe". And as fate would have it...while we were doing our Q&A with them we took indirect fire. For his size, Big Show pretty much out ran all of us to the bunker! If you watch the DVD extra's from the Tribute to the Troops you can see one of my Soldiers giving the rocket motor to one of the DIVAs later on when we reconvened in the gym area. Good times...
