One of the most popular hilstations in Uttarakhand is Nainital. And this famous getaway is also called the LAKE DISTRICT OF INDIA. That's because over and above Nainital aur Bhimtal, the region is dotted with a bunch of lakes - some known and some unknown ones. And one such gem is Sattal, which is actually a cluster of seven freshwater lakes. These pristine mountain lakes nestled within dense forest is definitely one of the most stunning places of Uttarakhand.
In this episode we'll go for a morning birdwalk, have a Kumaoni lunch and end the day at a very special chocolate factory in the Himalayas

Actually for people visiting Nainital , it comprises of only Mall Road , Lake and few nearby points. Real Nainital , unseen and hidden part of it, lies in its villages like Chungi, Kela khan, Aaloo khet ( exceptionally beautiful place just 3 km from Ntl) , Gethia, Bhumiadhar, Baldiakhan, Patwadangar , forest between Hanumaan ghari and Observatory to name a few…. Beautifully captured Sattal!!!. Its a beautiful place for nature lover who prefer the sound of mountains over TV, who prefer fresh breeze over an AC and for those who prefer to savor the serenity of the place and maintain it.
And one of the best ways to enjoy this place is in Wild Kumao with Neerdiv. I can personally vouch for the place bcoz I spent a week in Wild Kumao, a beautiful place to stay with a lovely staff, bird watching arena and home cooked food.

for me ..kumaon is a very very intense emotion. i spent 7 months of last year in nainital district including haldwani bheemtal nainital saattal naukushiyatal kaladhungi belpadao powalgarh n many many more..the best days of my life since 38 years
We have been to this region multiple times and love this part of Kumaon. But this video shares some inspiring stuff. Very well curated video and inspiring me to plan another trip to Sattal area and enjoy our walks around these lakes, especially Garud Tal. Thanks folks !

A magical video. The bird watcher, the beautiful lake, a winding bike ride, delicious rustic fare at a hilltop restaurant, and finally the passionate chocolate makers ....I loved every minute. Thank you.
We hv visited Nanitaal many times but never ever even heard of such beautiful places u hv shown, I'm definitely gona visit next time.
Sat taal, a congregation of seven pristine and sweet water lakes, sorrounded by sprawling lush green mountains, seems to be an ideal abode not only for the local birds but also migratory birds. Those who love bird watching can spent days together at such places...Then, having a fun ride on a power driven bike would have been a wonderful experience.. People pursue their goals religiously and tirelessly, if they have passion for it, to any extent.. Passion to manufacture original cocoa chocolates that too at a far off place like mountains, undoubtedly, is a laudable and admirable initiative. Those who have abound passion can only do it as the young couple has done..Hats off to their new venture . Lastly as you have opinioned that it is difficult to disclose the whereabouts of the destinations is logical..Those who are interested to explore, not explored places, can feel immense amount of pleasure and joy and if they happen to be at such places...Great going Abhishek..

I have been to Saat taal many times. Infact I prefer saath taal more than Naini jheel. Of course both are equally mesmerizing and amazingly scenic.
When you asked Neerdiv to describe the place, and when he said 'mast', I couldn't stop myself from describing Saat taal a bit more, hoping the ones who might read this will plan a trip to Saat taal.
Initially I would visit Saat taal just to chill out, and the place was just one of the tourist place in my list. But after couple of visits I realized it is more than a tourist destination. I would describe this place as one of the most peaceful places. There is infact two banks of this lake. One is where you will find the restaurants and boating area. But prior to reaching this area, there is one more entry a bank minus restaurants etc. It is at this place where you can sit for hours. The beauty of this place is unthinkable. A still lake surrounded by lush green tress and mountain. You could feel the nature here. The mild breeze, the chirping of birds. An apt place for nature lovers.
However I have seen resellers spoiling this place. I would request them to respect the nature.. 🙏

I visited sattal around 15 june.my experience the water was smelling so bad it was rushed very rushed and sunlight all over the lake causing heat.my advice is vist it in January or around March.
