You aren’t wrong , that power at stage 2 is perfect. My gti was stage 2 with similar numbers and it was faster than a lot of cars that tried to play on the highway. It was fast enough.
I’ve owned my 2011 sprint blue sport back , 19k miles for 6 years too , gradually starting to do bits to it now , just gone stage 1 four months ago , yours sounds epic at stage 2 plus, nice to see someone doing vids on the 8p s3 , don’t come across very many .
Super roads around Earlswood, excellent stamping ground for my red S3 @ stage 2+ running APR software. Tucked up for the winter at the moment though! Your car sounds very sporty and the DSG changes gears very quickly. Mine is a manual. Not sure if you have an intercooler. I have a Wagner and it really helps in the summer, no drop off in power.
Are you launching with traction control turned on? I heard rtech map the car with traction control, also have you thought of getting the wellycooler just to eliminate or reduce heat soak, motor will suffer in the summer, or maybe a 50/50 blend of water meth. Extra ponies especially when you get the wellycooler also, probably would be around 400 bhp mark
Those straight line pulls were very impressive, gearshifts were incredibly quick, I'm torn between the s3 8p and tts 8j, Mrs keeps telling me to get the tts 😂
Great video mate! Next time can you make the video is around 22 minutes I still had about 6 minutes worth of popcorn still to eat! Also regarding brakes, if you watch formula one redbull cars have great brakes might have to send them an email to find out what ones they are but I know their good!
Aup smithy, what was the biggest difference between the two in terms of how the power feels on the from going from stock to stage 1 or from stage 1 to stage 2+ ?
You got a link for the wing mirror caps mate? Got a 2010 stage 2 manual, got EBC grooved discs with yellowstuff pads, good setup and won't break the bank (£580)
Looks close to one of my pals s3 8p😂 but my pal has decals at the wings and has a manual easily fkn mental the one my pal has 600bhp! I’m definitely looking at one but thinking about another rs😂
Never skipped a beat mate. Apart from an injector seal coming off but easily fixed. My water pump seized up during that time but that was a part failure not down to the remap
@@CarsWithSmithy I got a s3 8p too mrc mapped stage 2 plus. Absolute animal but urs sounds better I think Revo air intake makes a lot off diff to the noise I have a ram air over sized I think I need to switch it up
What’s the milage on your car mate ? Looking to go streight to stage 2 on my s3 it’s a dsg and done 97k miles don’t wana put to much strain on the engine though
89,000. A good tuner will always do mandatory engine checks prior to tuning anyway. But I’ve seen some of these engines with almost 200,000 miles running the same power
@@CarsWithSmithy cheers for that, I was thinking of going to r tech myself but heard revo is the better option plus I want the pops and bangs not overly loud though and heard r tech carnt do this

Mtec discs with yellow stuff pads, good for fast road use and some track use, just brought some for my stage 1 mk6 gti
I'd recommend braided brake lines first, ferodo ds2500 pads and maybe j hook disks. If still not enough, RS3/TTRS brake kit will do you fine
Welcome to The world of S3 8p ! Greetings of Perú 🇵🇪💯🤙
Yellow stuff pads with stainless brake lines. There crazy good cold and hot. I had them on my golf and stopped instantly at 100 to point I felt sick 😂
Saving up for once of these im glad I've found your channel great content and lovely motor any chance of a mod list ? Just for a piece of mind thanks
I’m also from birmingham just bought a stage 2 plus also in love with it love the content also

Traction off. Got some plans for next year for the other stuff you mentioned 👀
I have meth in my car and its additive 😆
Good video, I've got a TTS and looking to do similar stuff to it. Keep it coming 👍
On an on you go!!!
Nice example, good video enjoyed it fella 👌

S3 all day long!
Another vote for S3, but I might be biased as I have one😀

Nicely done, just got mine to stage 2, really turn them into weapons!
Mine booked in next week, can not wait, going for 2+
@@chrisbutcher3280 Sweet, always exciting time :D

Great video! Keep them coming.
Damn .... So want to do this to my 8p
Did you have to get a uprated clutch on it to take it to that power mate?
It’s running stock DSG
Aup smithy, what was the biggest difference between the two in terms of how the power feels on the from going from stock to stage 1 or from stage 1 to stage 2+ ?
Went from 310BHP to 360BHP and a whole lot more torque! It’s a different car, just pulls relentlessly

They came on the car like it! I guess you could either wrap them or get a bodyshop to paint yours 👍🏻 I was already thinking that brake setup too
Smithy, love your videos mate. Let me know if you're interested in selling it anytime soon😉😂. Wish you well, stay safe bro👍.

@@CarsWithSmithy Yes mate, it honestly fly’s
Like it a lot man😎😎😎
What more would you need.
New cars are just soooo overpriced that it's dumb if you not rich
Smithy you are my Guinea pig man, I'm just saving for my s3 then I'm gonna follow your lead 😎😎😎
Small world hahaha remember ‘S3 UTV’
I do remember 👍🏻😂
Mines still standard sportback manual and it is still fast as fuck. Still feel manual is a real drivers car!
Have u had the gearbox tuned?
I have since this video. I have the r tech motorsport gearbox map
@@CarsWithSmithy 💯👌👌👌👌
Sq5 brake upgrade.....6 pots I think
Great video 👌👌
Sorry for the dumb question but whats better the 1.8 or the 2.0. ?
2.0 👍🏻
Do you have upgraded intercooler? Or meth kit? For cooling
Stock intercooler (for now)
Hi do you know how reliable these are at stage 2 +? I’m booked in for a stage 1 remap at r tech can’t wait but plan to go stage 2 + in the future
