you are the only guy that explained it well. everybody else is using these microsoft paint drawing sor just talking. and I also needed to know how to handle grounding with use of a splitter, the other guys only ground 1 antenna wire but not splitter is involved! thanks
quick tip on making the ground wire straight. Cut the length you need then tie one end to something sturdy. take the free end and put it in the chuck of a hand held drill. pull tight then squeeze the trigger on the drill should straighten the line like a wire coat hanger.

10 AWG Solid copper
