Final Showing of Animal Actors & Special Effects Show at Universal Studios Hollywood

- Today, January 8, 2023 was the final day for two beloved attractions. Animal actors was the first show to close at 3 PM. It was an emotional last performance of the show as the whole cast joined to help lead the final showing I had a wonderful time and experience with both shows. It was very difficult for me to say goodbye to these awesome shows because I grew up watching them as a kid. animal actors has been a part of universal studios Hollywood history since the beginning. The show was originally a petting zoo, then later introduced to the studio tour. In 1970, animal actors became its own standalone show. special effects, stage highlighted, how certain affects used in movie production were created. both shows provided a unique viewing experience to teach the viewer on how to create a perfect movie. For over 100 years Universal Studios Hollywood led the creation of hundreds of incredible films and TV shows.

Bittersweet moment indeed. Will miss those two shows greatly, but I'm excited for the future.

Nice to see your tributes and true emotion to these great shows. Thank you JPLand. Went to the 2nd to the last Special Effects Show yesterday. I am really going to miss Stage 56 aka Castle Dracula. I watched CONAN (always will be my favorite), BEETLEJUICE, and SPIDER-MAN ROCKS in that theater and I am really going to miss it.😥

Sad! Beyond sadness!! It will not be the same! I think they need to bring them back. Animal show is lighthearted and the perfect pace for young kids and older adults. I’m crying now
My sister loved Animal Actors. She only got to see it once, and she wanted to see it again before it closed. We live in Nor Cal so we weren't able to go to the last showings. It's unfortunate, but I understand why both the Stunt show and Animal Actors are closing

We were there for the actual final show at 3pm. It was pretty cool to see. Didn't get a chance to see the Special FX show though, I grew up watching Conan The Barbarian at that theater in the 80s!

Atleast my animal actors (Orlando) is still alive. It’s a shame and sad another classic attraction has to go in the other universal parks.

yo i am feeling the emotions i've been going to universal since i was at least 1 and a half and both shows have been a part of me its sad to see them go i do hope that if they do expand the park they bring them back. like these are shows that can change your ways of seeing how movies are made either with animals or special effects. like so many shows were in stage 56 spiderman rocks, the creature from the black lagoon, bill and teds excellent halloween adventure, and so many more with it. idk about anyone else but i cried while watching this if i was there on that last shows i would've been in tears more than i am now. Universal Studios Hollywood will always be my #1 theme park and will always be the best place to have fun and relax. thank you JP been subscribed to you for a good min and your videos do help out a lot stay safe and same for everyone lets see what USH has in store for us in the future.

Hook or by crook, let's hope USH finds a way to bring back the *Animal Actor's Show.* I am sure USH can find a spot for it somewhere. Years ago I got be the audience volunteer so it also has a special feeling in my heart as well.
