The articulating hedge trimmer does a nice job trimming the fig vines in the block wall. It conforms to a vertical cutting pattern nicely. The blades are sharp! The edger works OK as well. I haven’t used the extension yet. I recommend this kit!
for those saying it sucks for those who bought the first gen trimmers. the two ways I have seen this sold is as a trimmer or as a pole chainsaw. I have all the yard tools and enjoy them. I can buy this as the pole saw and get the edger attachment, and the extender pole and im good.

If you add the extension to the saw it will bend the poles. I have mixed feelings about the tool because of the poles bending and the leaky oil tank.
I don't have this model but I do have a Milwaukee weed wacker something I learned and did after getting mine last spring. the little piece that cuts the string that is on the under side of the guard. is set for a smaller string cut. if u reverse it which takes 5 seconds to do you will see a noticeable difference, works more like a gasser. just a quick fyi
Got the Chainsaw/Pole Saw combo from Home Depot $860 with tax. Comes with chainsaw, pole saw, 3' attachment, 12.0 Ah battery, 8.0 Ah battery and 2 Rapid Chargers. The only thing about using the attachment pole is the unit is unwieldy and heavy, but for reaching high branches is a must. Wish they would come out with a cultivator/rototiller like Ryobi has. Would come in handy for my hiking trail build I bought the combo set for. If you think about it, it's basically $200 for each tool and battery. The 12.0 Ah battery alone is $250, plus you get the Rapid Chargers which aren't cheap either.
I just got one of these second hand from a pawnshop and i love it. I got a heck of a deal with not only the weed eater but also the larger battery and the fast charger. I bought it for $120 and priced everything around almost $500. the weed eater alone is $170-$199, then the battery $99, then the charger $199. I am looking forward to getting the metal blade edger and maybe the chainsaw attachment.

This has happened to me first one melted 4x12Ah batteries I got them all replaced under warranty so then I only use the 5Ah batteries. I have since had 5 of these power head units and all over heat and have melted batteries even with having rests. I have now given up completely and brought the Ego line trimmer and its amazing last for 1/2hr on 5Ah battery I was lucky to get 5min with Milwaukee or melted batteries
Ever experience with the string trimmer head when the trimmer stops when trigger is fully pressed? Mine did that yesterday a lot with a 8.0 battery fresh off the charger. It would be cutting then all of the sudden stop. To get it to start again I had to let go of the trigger then press and hold again. It did this multiple times until I got frustrated and stopped cutting grass
I have all the attachments to the store it is truly amazing the only thing I noticed about the video please note to anyone that has this when you put the attachment in sometimes you have to turn the attachment or bump the trigger to be sure that it goes all the way in I noticed when he put it in on the video it was still about 3/4 of an inch from being fully seated you run the risk of stripping the drive mechanism if you don’t have it fully seated the line on the tube should be right at the edge of the power unit

If I can reach it with the milwaukee I won't get out my stihl 131 pole saw. Just really a great tool. I want the hedge trimmer attachment now. I haven't used it, but it looks like the hedge trimmer attachment is beast too. For anyone debating this purchase, just do it, you won't be disappointed at all! That's a fact jack! Side note..... First thing I did was flip the string cutter tab around. It makes it a 16" cut from a 14". HUGE difference. Also, when I ran out of .80 I loaded her up with .95 string. And I use the 12.0. Holy moly! The thing is nuts. Here's something fun too. My brother sold his flexvolt trimmer the day after he used mine. And bought the FUEL. 😂 Thanks again for a great vid. Though I'm very late on this one. 🍻
Haha your the man bro!. Yeah it's an awesome tool for sure, but still wish they would come out with a mower. To have this great tool without a center piece tool drives me crazy!!!
Just so you know to put string on you don't have to take the cap off at all just line up the red lines on the cap. String equal amount through both sides and wind it in
Any tips how to avoid wrist pain when holding the throttle down for extended periods when weed whacking? Usually takes me an hour to do my place and my hand/wrist gets really locked up.
Better have a better trigger than the other older model. Mine stopped working just after warranty, it was working intemitantly and the battery connection became loose. Ive sent it off for repair at my expense.
Good question. I’d like to see an MXFuel snow blower. That would be awesome. But an 18v snow option would be fantastic. Give it time and I’m sure we will eventually see something. Milwaukee really went full on with the homeowner/diy options and it’s great.
Really great review Clint. I have the Milwaukee fuel string trimmer already I wish they would have had this out when I got the string trimmer. looks like I'm going to have to sell my string trimmer so I can get this.
Wish they sold a kit with just the articulating hedge trimmer attachment, but at this time I don't need all the other attachments. Too bad, looks like a nice tool to have in my arsenal.
599 without a charger or battery and no strap and you dont get the extension pole all you get is the pole saw the hedger the weed wacker and the edger if you want the strap and the exstention and strap added it makes it 649 and still no battery or charger kinda up in the area of a professional gas quick change system
I’ve heard the quik lok tends to overheat when using the string trimmer. But what about when just using the pole saw and hedge trimmer attachments instead of the string trimmer?
Just got this yesterday. Used it today and I’ve noticed on mine the power head vibrates a lot and it’s not the most quiet. Kind of a rough sound not that high pitch whine sound I expected. Actually I only expect the sound to be coming from the trimmer area. It’s there and the power head tho. Not a big deal. Just something I’ve noticed. Same with yours or did I get a weird one?
is this priced the same as the echo electric trimmer multi??? i like the hedge trimmer best... i wonder how it works though... time you can cut with it before a recharge...???
Why are people commenting that this one costs more. I just got it in a kit with a 9.0 battery Rapid charger and a free Blower for the same price as the old one..
I'm not so sure about that. The weed wacker, blower (or hand trimmer) and 9a/hr battery kit was $300. This kit with the weed wacker + pole saw is $478. If you want another attachment, it's over $100 for each of them. Maybe this kit will go on sale, but right now, you're paying quite a bit for the attachment ability and attachments. If you don't need them (I don't really), then it's hardly a better deal.
6:56 I’m glad you apologized at least...😂 Just got one, but motor makes a noise when it slows down to a stop. Almost like a grinding or perhaps clutch(?) Sounds like a card in bicycle spokes. Is this normal?
The wrench for the pole saw is just like the chainsaw wrench, and I expected there to be a spot to store the wrench like on the chainsaw... but I'll be damned if I can find it. Is there no on tool storage spot for the wrench at all?
@@ToolReviewZone Yeah, kind of a strange little oversight on Milwaukee's behalf there, I think. But if that's my only complaint, I'm pretty sure I'll still sleep soundly at night. Just got the pole saw today, but looking forward to trying it out either tomorrow or Saturday.
Hi. Thanks for the great review! I'm going to buy but have a question. I'm assuming that you have the 2725-21HD. Milwaulkee tells me that the newer current model is the 2725-20. Are they basically the same or is one better quality? Thanks a bunch!
Great Job on the Milwaukee review. How do the Milwaukee tool compare to the Toro lawn tools. Toro, an American Co., has three power levels : a 20V Max, Power plex 40V, and a New 60V line of out door tools at moderate prices. Are you planning on doing any Toro reviews soon. I'm planning on going cordless on my outdoor tools and would like to see how the Toro compare to others of the same power. Thanks for the hard work on the Milwaukee tool review.
Dang i want this. But I already have ego power head 2 (5Amp) batteries, rapid charger, hedge trimmer, hedge trimmer attachment and extension.(No wacker attachment) i aslo have a Milwaukee blower, chainsaw, rapid charger and 3 12Amp batteries. Dont know if im going to sell my ego stuff
Thank you for showing how to attach the various options. As a 60+ female, I do wish you had shown how to attach the handle and the guard for the string trimmer. I purchased the M 18 as a set with the string trimmer and hedge attachment for my overgrown acreage. It was the price of just the string trimmer. I love the M 12 Fuel Hacksaw and look forward to using this as well.
Great review of a new system. It seems the big nemesis of string trimmers is loading the string. So much time and aggravation usually ensues. How is loading the string on this unit?
Not hard at all. I know what you mean though, and its basically just like any other system, but the larger base makes it a bit easier. Thanks for the comment!
Not hard at all it has a quick load feature he failed to mention in the video all you do is line up red lines with string holes slide string through and twist head the other way and it spins it right up sometimes we need to read the directions even tho we think we no everything lol he missed this easy valuable piece of info because of that
Hi bro Great video. .. I have the ego and ryobi power heads and extentions. ..do you know if this motor head will fit to one of them. .. Look really powerful. ..and light weight. .. Thanks
It would be cool to see a head to head comparison between this, Ryobi, and the Kobalt versions, Also are there more attachments on the way ( I.e. leaf and snow blowers and tiller)
I know I'm late to the party here but I wish Milwaukee sold just the power head. I only need the edger and they don't sell the edger and the powerhead together. The cheapest option is to buy the string trimmer too. Unless I want to go to Europe and buy just the power head. They sell those there as a standalone unit. Why not here too?
Thank you man! This is awesome and I love Milwaukee tools. This is the only one that is priced right for all these features in the market. Stihl has one but 3 times the cost, as well craftsman and Kobalt two other leaders in battery operated things don’t even offer this! So I am sold! Thk u
While it looks very powerful and versatile, I'll guarantee my Ryobi 30cc gas unit has more power hands down. I also wish the Milwaukee attachments could be rotated in 4 positions like the Ryobi attachments. Overall though it looks like a solid unit
Try it and get back to me. This thing has balls to the walls power and made for professional use. The hedge trimmer does adjust, but the others I would not think you would need to rotate
@@ToolReviewZone I don't doubt the power, and it looks more powerful per pound but gas is still packing a serious punch. You're right about rotating the hedge trimmer head but I also like to rotate the string trimmer head for edging sidewalks and driveways. I guess the only way to change my mind is to send it to me to compare. I did lawn care for 4 years so I've got a few hours under my belt but have yet to get my hands on a battery unit. I'm looking at making a battery adapter so I can run 2 Ridgid batteries on a Ryobi 40v trimmer and chainsaw, could be interesting.
Yeah but the edge would be the primary use for sidewalks. If this didn't have the edger attachment I would agree be because it does the rotating head would be redundant. Would be cool to see if you could add a double battery
@@ToolReviewZone well 18v batteries are 20v at no load, and Ryobi's 40v batteries are actually 36v under load, so as per the math it should work as long as a Ryobi will run on just a negative and a positive wire
So you would need a cord from the backpack to the tool.. kinda defeats the purpose no?! That’s why you just swap out a battery and keep on going with no extra weight. Or a backpack on while it’s 100 degrees and you’re already sweating your ass off
Imma let you hear this thing right now....talks over it.... 👌🏼 P.s I got given this for free that's why it's the best tool I've even seen or heard of....
I have the first gen trimmer, blower and hedge trimmer - they are good but not quite commercial level. If you push that string trimmer it will overheat and shut down. Keep trying though.
My first question to you then would be, how often and what do you use it for? If you’re just doing a single yard I’m sure the device will be fine for you. And like I said, they’re good they’re just not commercial. That means ran all day every day relentlessly.
@@garydonais758 Yeah, admittedly I've only used it around a 5 acre farmstead so far. But its handled everything I've thrown at it so we sold our gas powered Stihl weed trimmer after getting the Milwaukee. Same deal with the chainsaw (though we still have our gas Stihl on hand at the moment.) For all our uses here on the farm, it's looking like we can finally get rid of the majority of gas powered tools. (I think the tractor will be safe for a long time.) :)
Well, here’s the good, the batteries have three year warranty’s and the trimmer has a five year warranty and if you’re already invested in the platform with drills and what not, the cost of replacement for either or is pretty low so in that regard I think there a good bargain. Also the hedge trimmer is exceptional. It seems to run forever on a single charge. The blower is good for small jobs. It’s lightweight, it’s super easy to use. And admittedly, I would push these tools to the absolute limit I have situations where I trim for more than an hour at a time and on high settings this fast drains the batteries and they’re quite warm when I’m done I’ve only had them shut down in really high temperatures 90 degrees plus. still have mine and I do use it, I just can’t rely on it to be a primary trimmer for my needs.
Gary Donais I bet the outside temp does play a important factor to potential overheating. I don’t think I’ve used them when it’s that hot out. I do have that blower too, lucky enough to get it for free with the purchase of the weed trimmer during a Milwaukee promotion last year. I haven’t used it much yet, though. In my day job, I work at a store that sells contractor grade tools and Milwaukee is our main brand, so I admit that I drank the “red kool-aid” years ago. But only after seeing how well they hold up and perform. And Milwaukee has one of the best warranties out there, so that’s always a comfort.

Not hard at all it has a quick load feature he failed to mention in the video all you do is line up red lines with string holes slide string through and twist head the other way and it spins it right up sometimes we need to read the directions even tho we think we no everything lol he missed this easy valuable piece of info because of that
Great Tutorial!!
Hi bro
Great video. ..
I have the ego and ryobi power heads and extentions. ..do you know if this motor head will fit to one of them. ..
Look really powerful. ..and light weight. ..
Thanks
Hmmm, not really sure buddy. I can see if I can find any information on it for you though
No I doesn’t this on is splined Ryobi is square taper
Cool video. Will it fit the 12.0ah battery?
Never mind...
Why don’t they have brush cutter attachments ?
Does anyone know if there is going to be a new Milwaukee leaf blower coming out?
The one they have out now is awesome
It would be cool to see a head to head comparison between this, Ryobi, and the Kobalt versions, Also are there more attachments on the way ( I.e. leaf and snow blowers and tiller)
Dan Soderholm I don’t think you can attach any blower to this wouldn’t make any sense. This is a pole design.
Ya thiers no point attaching a blower lol
What do they have for trimming acres of saplings and thick weeds
I have a review coming up this weekend for a tool that will be perfect for that. Stay tuned
I have every attachment they're all fantastic but could do with a brush cutter
Does anyone know if this gets too wobbly if you add more than one extension?
One word “versatile “
Do you mean my acting skills or the tool?
One word “makita” sup Vince!!
damn looks like i have to buy into milwaukee now.... already have everything ridgid has but milwaukee has alot they dont
Would you say that this is just as good or comparable to a stihl attachment setup system?
Have to be honest with you 2011, I haven't used the stihl, so dont want to give you gals information. That being said, it's a great tool(s)
Are you gonna make a new video on how they all perform? I wanna see if there actually worth getting.
Tried it nooo goo for me I gave it a chance tho maybe light work not a chance if you have land. Love milwaukee thoo.
Great Ozzy intro!!!
Song please?
Get a boat propeller attachment made next Milwaukee.
How did you hang your Makita chargers on the wall?
Check out the ryobi glue gun video. I just placed wood strips on them and screwed them on the wall
@@ToolReviewZone thanks I'll give that a shot. I agree with you wish makita would put mounting tabs on the chargers.
I know. Drives me crazy! Let me know how it works
Is it more powerful than the flexvolt strimmer..Great video mate.
Hmmm, good question David. Let me see what I can find out
Top 3 tool review Chanel’s on RUclips!
I need that whole set up.
Man I have thousands of dollars worth of Milwaukee tools I can’t go back 😂😂😂😂
bought weed trimmer but heat up and stop why
I don’t think a larger battery will give you more power. It gives you the same amount of power for a longer period of time.
And by “larger battery” -I’m referring to a battery with the same voltage but with more amp hours.
Great review. Thanks.
They need to make a bush cutter blade attachment
Any news on a lawnmower???
Thank you man! This is awesome and I love Milwaukee tools. This is the only one that is priced right for all these features in the market. Stihl has one but 3 times the cost, as well craftsman and Kobalt two other leaders in battery operated things don’t even offer this! So I am sold! Thk u
Thanks for the awesome comment Josh!
Can you use multiple attachments at the same time?
That would be cool
You'd think they'd have a free battery promo with this
Looks awesome!
It really is slayerment. Probably one of the coolest tools I've reviewed yet
Seems like they could easily turn this into a lawn mower by making a string trimmer with wheels attachment.
OZZY!!!!
Let me know if you do it. Your good with those battery projects
How much would it cost me to buy all this ?
Hi Efrain. I have a link in the description with the link that will show you all the prices
@@ToolReviewZone thank you!!!
They should make a backpack battery that can be installed on all the Milwaukee Tools. like if you want this to happen
So you would need a cord from the backpack to the tool.. kinda defeats the purpose no?! That’s why you just swap out a battery and keep on going with no extra weight. Or a backpack on while it’s 100 degrees and you’re already sweating your ass off
Bro your intro is one of the best intros i ever seen in youtube ...awesome!!!!! Suscribe now!!!!
Haha, thanks brother 👊
This is awesome news buddy
Like the videos , very helpful but would be better and easier to listen to without the heavy metal in the background.
I have separate videos
Imma let you hear this thing right now....talks over it.... 👌🏼
P.s I got given this for free that's why it's the best tool I've even seen or heard of....
Disk?
I have the first gen trimmer, blower and hedge trimmer - they are good but not quite commercial level. If you push that string trimmer it will overheat and shut down. Keep trying though.
I have the first generation trimmer too, and I've never had a battery overheat on me personally.
And Milwaukee has one of the best warranties out there, so that’s always a comfort.
wish they would sell this as bare tool
Yeah but many if the tool manufacturers don't. I do agree with you though
@@ToolReviewZone they probably will.. i think they just profit skim on new product releases.. you can buy the chainsaw bare tool now for example.
Yeah true. Mostly online you can find them but harder in stores
@@ToolReviewZone i've never purchased a milwaukee tool in store... I buy them all online reconditioned in like new condition for WAY cheaper than big box stores.
Yeah I've had a few reconditioned tools and never had an issue either. Can usually find some great deals on them when available
Lawnmower!!!
, I would like one please take care of everybody okay
Tune the music down while talking find it kinda distracting and hard to understand u
I like my Troy built with all it atachments and possibly cheaper to.
