I’m getting a reduction soon and wanted a better understanding of the process, but the prospect of seeing the visual of a real one happening freaked me out. This was super helpful for helping me understand without that concern. Thanks so much for making this!
@@wintersprite i did! i’m nearly 3 months post-op. i had some difficulties during the recovery process (nothing physical, just some personal mental health flareups), but now i feel so much more comfortable on a day to day basis. i hope that your recovery goes smoothly and that you get the results you want!!
hii! I am going to see a doctor and decide the surgery date so I'm freaking out. How long did take to go back to your rutin life? sorry for my bad english
Hello iam having it hopefully after a couple of days can you tell me how much sizes down you bought before the surgery so you have a couple after the surgery? +do the scar show soo much? And how much did it take for the redness to not show and to recover iam a university student I'll start the university a week after the surgery would I be able to attend or it will hurt?
Neat! I had a reduction last year - totally worth it, I love my results - and I admit to being curious about what exactly the surgery looks like. This was a great visual, so thanks!
Hey glad that your surgery went well and that you’re satisfied. I just wanted to ask if you know wether this surgery would possibly affect breastfeeding in the future, and wether there’s scars after it. Thank you !
@@zinebabouhadid303 it can affect breastfeeding, though this surgery type seeks to keep the nipple connected to the underlying tissues. I'm very happy with my results. I do have scars, but they're very faint. I have a really good skin type for healing scars, though. Overall, I'm really glad I had the surgery.
This is an awesome demonstration of this procedure. I could tell that you are skilled and even more importantly that you really care about your patients well-being.
In Canada breast reductions due to non cosmetic reasons are free/ covered by universal health care. In the past the surgeons would not remove the tissue that extends under the arm, focusing only on what youve just shown. Now i looked it up and the new regs and the plastic surgeons agree the axilla lobe is necessary for the breast reduction, BUT the patient must pay for lipsuction costs of that, and health insurance will cover the breast reduction of the main breast. So this "new" requirement returns reduction to out of reach cost wise for many women.
@Partymarty0088 the American paid for procedure involved both procedures for a complete breast reduction. I worked in USA and Canada. I was suggested for one in USA and knew both parts were involved, but my health insurance there didn't cover it. On return to Canada I investigated it, and found they only did the breast, leaving g rne axillary or wings full of fat and tissue. So now they agree its a necessary part, but the liposuction component to the axillary will not be health insurance covered. So yes its less than the USA, but still defies universal Healthcare for a needed, not cosmetic surgery.
@@joywebster2678 funny because they will perform auxiliary breast surgery in Canada but only for covered cosmetic procedures like breast reconstruction after cancer.
Also in Italy. I visited a surgeon today because I have a large breast that gives me a lot of health related problems and if I decide to intervene, I won’t pay a single € for the whole procedure and the stay at the hospital. This is with public healthcare in a very good hospital.
This was amazing to watch . I'm having a "superior medial pedicle" breast lift done next month. I was looking up videos to see how oys done. Is this the same thing? @Greer Plastic Surgery
Brilliant! Could you please tell me how did you build this Breast model? I tried flexFoam - for training the fellows- but the play dough seems to work perfectly fine! Thanks in advance
I have a Dr who’s followed my back pain and was able to get an approval through my insurance because it’s not cosmetic but a physical necessity for my quality of living. I was also told many yrs ago it wasn’t covered but now it is. Worth a shot to check around
I know this is playdouh but oh my word that just scared the heck out of me. 😂 that looked more painful than the videos of live surgery. Informative but painful lol
@@bridgettarvin5626 right! I’m like is there no other way to reduce them? There is a ton of different ways to reduce the stomach and other places but the boobs have two methods and they both scare me.
I wonder how the brain's nervous system reacts and/or adjusts to the fact that the nipple is 90° after surgery. Like does the brain think the bottom of nipple is itchy when its actually now rotated towards your right arm.

Have you had yours yet? I just had my surgery yesterday.

As an intern in plastic surgery, this helps a lot! The visualization is sometimes difficult when your brain freezes in the operating room :)

Very nice demonstration of surgery using Play-Dough. Keep up the good work.

So appreciative of these videos showing how its done
I’m considering this procedure. This was super helpful. Thank you!
simply and intelligently explained... thanks Greer. Could you tell me what is the material of which you made this model

Is that just in Canada? Not the cost per say, but that additional procedure?

@AM.000 reconcinstruction isn't reduction for size!

This material for demo is excellent, how and where do I source it
Im getting mine soon and wanted to find a video of the process to try and help me feel better but im very squeamish, thank you for this!
Perfect!.how much could its cost to have this kind surgery?
Thanks Greer for this video
What is the material that you used to make your model
Do they actually reduce something? It kinda seems like they only change the noun's position or am i wrong?
This is incredible, Thank you!!!
very nice video thank you ,what are chances of blood supply being sorted when rotating nipple up?
GREAT IDEA TO PRACTICE! Thanks doc!

How is the healing with patients who have keloid skin?
Do you still keep the feeling or not anymore?
Can you do one where you show the difference between inferior pedicle & this kind?
Can a woman breastfeed normally again after doing this procedure?
Thanks a lot, this so clear and simple
This is very helpful! Thank you. The steak knife made me laugh 😉
this is really helpful, thanks
This is like a hyper realistic cake video 🫣
Thx. I want to have it done but my insurance will not cover it 🤷🏾♀️

What is the purpose of de-epithelialization?
You can’t tuck the pedicle under the surrounding skin if there is still skin on it
Where is this what clinic
We are located near Cleveland, Ohio in Mentor!
Finally! I get it
I know this is playdouh but oh my word that just scared the heck out of me. 😂 that looked more painful than the videos of live surgery. Informative but painful lol

Have you ever done a breast reduction on someone that has a pacemaker

this is impressive! thanks for making this :)
me watching this after having this done a week ago😳
Mine is coming up soon
Hahaha how easy that clay removal of the excess tissue looks ….. wouldn’t that be nice ! Hahah
And the smoothing with water to make the cuts pretty! lol but I still think this was very informative and creative!
I started shaking while watching this 💀
This was a lift you didn’t take out any fat
1 day post op if this. Painful isn’t even the word.
That looks so painful!!!!
my nipple piercings certainly were vertical after my surgery LOL
How come you let your piecings on, before the surgery?
I feel like doing this model for fun lol idk why
I dk but my anxiety level while watching 📈📈📈
Nah I can't have my nipples rotated like that. I wouldn't want this method done on mine
Is this a "keyhole" reduction? I mean, it looks like you carved a key hole but used the medical terms for it lol.
Lol this is great
Too gotdam information are you trying to put me in a coma
