    Hello Jayne. Thank you for making all these videos for us. Can IBS be very disrupted by the death of someone close? I cared at home for my mum for 19 years. It was very tiring and long hours each day. She died last August. At the end of November I began having very bad anxiety. It has been overwhelming me. I also have cfs. I have had some assistance with medication, but the anxiety has pretty much left me so afraid I am even scared to move around the house. I just don't understand it. The IBS is diaherrea and can be 6 or more times a day. I am shattered from it. Have you dealt with people/patients who have had similar experiences? I ask as I am scared of the symptoms. Are there any of your videos you could recommend to help, please? Thank you.

      Hi Carole, thank you for your comment and sharing more about what's been happening for you. The simple answer is yes, I have seen IBS triggered by trauma/grief, and also worked with clients who experienced severe IBS-D. There is so much I could say about this to you, but to keep things helpful and not to overwhelm my suggestion would be to focus on calming your nervous system and that deeper sense of safety. Connecting in with your breath can be powerful and in combination with the words ''I am safe, I am ok''.       Check out EFT or "Tapping" use it on your grief and fear. These emotions will then diminish and disappear. Really!

    Can this video help with visceral hypersensitivity

      Thanks for your question! There are a few different sessions which are more focused on visceral hyper sensitivity (although this one can help).
