Nagas were significantly bigger when I was in my teens but now a lot of Kuki villages have sprung up in Naga areas. We see them with our own eyes. The Kuki Naga conflict happened precisely because of this reason. While it is true that all Kukis are not illegal immigrants from Myanmar, at least accept that there has been a steady influx over the past two decades. How else do you explain the population shift? Why should the Meiteis have a problem with Kukis but not Nagas or Komrem or Nepalis? Kukis also tried to make this a persecution against Christians thing in the beginning but that doesn't make sense. 90% of Nagas and other tribes are Christians too. There are many Meitei Christians as well. Also going back to the Kuki Naga clashes, Meiteis had provided shelter and supplies to Kukis because Meiteis were wary of the rising influence of Nagas at that time (This was when Nagas had already had state CMs). About suspension of Col nector, see fact before speaking. That incident took place in PWD quarter, Jiribam not police station. That day, during day time he was drunk on duty and misbehaving with silent protester in jiribam. Ibotombi’s calculation, such plan if carried out well will give the police and G-5 the green signal to launch a full scale and coordinated attack against Kukis. As Sahajahan protested that he will not under any circumstances take the life of any innocent Meitei, Inspector S. Ibotombi ordered the killing of Sub Inspector Sahajahan. This revelation comes from a friend of Sahajahan after the death of six Meiteis took Imphal to storm. Sahajahan reportedly confided to his close friend that S. Ibotombi is playing with the lives of people. He even disclosed that he wished to leave Jiribam as soon as possible. However, on the 2nd of November, a tragic news of SI Sahajahan being assassinated by his subordinate appeared on the news. Even then the close friend choose to remain silent. Within two weeks, however, Jiribam witnessed nightmares. 11 Kukis including a woman were killed. This was followed by the disappearance of six Meitei women and children. There are questions as to how six Meiteis disappeared from Meitei colony closely guarded by police and CRPF. Security establishments confirms that there were no report of Kuki movements around the vicinity where the abduction took place. The next day, a photo of the six appeared in social media. Incidentally, the photo appeared first in Meitei group and claims it appeared in Kuki group. Until now no Kuki group claims responsibility in the abduction and death of the six Meiteis. This is one person who is an outsider. I'm not an outsider. I'm a Naga and my pov is different. We see a lot of new Kuki villages and more Kukis than before. Where did all these people suddenly come from? Meiteis have their own faults and so do Nagas. Seems like so many people have seemed to have missed the point and blaming one side or the other. He clearly said the valley based insurgents were almost non existent until this conflict started. If meiteis planned the attack, they would have radicalised the youth first and then attacked. But the point is, now the situation is vulnerable state for Manipur and both sides are radicalised and both sides are using their own channels/means for smuggling weapons and ways of funding war(drugs). He also very reluctantly did not mention kuki but he does imply that everyone knows Myanmar rebels(not the Myanmar govt) have closed ties with a particular tribe, and all weapons in Myanmar in that particular region is which is dominated by China. He clearly mentioned Arambai and valley groups still looting weapons from police stations. (Seems like these groups don't source from same place-Myanmar). Remember valley based insurgents were almost non existent before this conflict) The later section, he explains the connection of Naga insurgents and certain MLAs and its ISI(basically the Pak govt). Nagas were significantly bigger when I was in my teens but now a lot of Kuki villages have sprung up in Naga areas. We see them with our own eyes. The Kuki Naga conflict happened precisely because of this reason.
While it is true that all Kukis are not illegal immigrants from Myanmar, at least accept that there has been a steady influx over the past two decades. How else do you explain the population shift?

Kukis also tried to make this a persecution against Christians thing in the beginning but that doesn't make sense. 90% of Nagas and other tribes are Christians too. There are many Meitei Christians as well. Also going back to the Kuki Naga clashes, Meiteis had provided shelter and supplies to Kukis because Meiteis were wary of the rising influence of Nagas at that time (This was when Nagas had already had state CMs).
So if Meiteis had to bear a grudge, it should have been against Nagas.

Who is behind the death of Sub-Inspector Sahajahan and six Meiteis in Jiribam?
Inspector Sahajahan’s tragic death has different theories. There were speculations that Inspector S. Ibotombi could be behind the crime. But none have the courage to pursue the case. However, the abduction and death of six Meitei women and children becomes an eye-opener over the theory associated with the death of SI Md. Sahajahan.
SI Sahajahan was posted at Mongbung Kuki village under the command of Inspector S. Ibotombi. In the later part of October, S. Ibotombi made a plan along with G-5 and Arambai Tenggol which Sahajahan shows his reluctance and categorically challenged Inspector S. Ibotombi. The plan was simple: *kill few Meiteis, blame Kukis, and take advantage of the situation arising out of the crisis*. According to S. Ibotombi’s calculation, such plan if carried out well will give the police and G-5 the green signal to launch a full scale and coordinated attack against Kukis.
As Sahajahan protested that he will not under any circumstances take the life of any innocent Meitei, Inspector S. Ibotombi ordered the killing of Sub Inspector Sahajahan.
This revelation comes from a friend of Sahajahan after the death of six Meiteis took Imphal to storm. Sahajahan reportedly confided to his close friend that S. Ibotombi is playing with the lives of people. He even disclosed that he wished to leave Jiribam as soon as possible. However, on the 2nd of November, a tragic news of SI Sahajahan being assassinated by his subordinate appeared on the news. Even then the close friend choose to remain silent.
Within two weeks, however, Jiribam witnessed nightmares. 11 Kukis including a woman were killed. This was followed by the disappearance of six Meitei women and children.
There are questions as to how six Meiteis disappeared from Meitei colony closely guarded by police and CRPF. Security establishments confirms that there were no report of Kuki movements around the vicinity where the abduction took place.
The next day, a photo of the six appeared in social media. Incidentally, the photo appeared first in Meitei group and claims it appeared in Kuki group. Until now no Kuki group claims responsibility in the abduction and death of the six Meiteis.
Kukis from the beginning avoid harming children and women. It is little hard to believe if the six were killed by Kukis. If, hypothetically, Kukis don't killed them, who actually could be behind the crime? Can someone connect the dots from the death of Sub-Inspector Sahajahan? It will be too early to implicate the involvement of certain police officers in the death of SI Sahajahan and later the six Meiteis. Nevertheless, these are evidences which cannot be neglected altogether. As the matter is under investigation, cognizance must be taken so as to ensure justice is delivered as per law.
Interestingly, Inspector S. Ibotombi who has a big role in Jiribam violence submitted his resignation from police service after the Jiribam incident? He updated his status that "he will join Meitei militant organization and fight the real battle", against Kukis. What does this mean? To some he appears revolutionary. But to some it is an attempt to evade arrest and prosecution by taking the path of an outlaw.
As mentioned earlier, it will be premature to implicate Inspector S. Ibotombi of what has happened in Jiribam. Certainly, time will tell if he is behind SI Sahajahan and six innocent Meiteis.

Seems like so many people have seemed to have missed the point and blaming one side or the other. He clearly said the valley based insurgents were almost non existent until this conflict started. If meiteis planned the attack, they would have radicalised the youth first and then attacked. But the point is, now the situation is vulnerable state for Manipur and both sides are radicalised and both sides are using their own channels/means for smuggling weapons and ways of funding war(drugs). He also very reluctantly did not mention kuki but he does imply that everyone knows Myanmar rebels(not the Myanmar govt) have closed ties with a particular tribe, and all weapons in Myanmar in that particular region is which is dominated by China. He clearly mentioned Arambai and valley groups still looting weapons from police stations. (Seems like these groups don't source from same place-Myanmar). Remember valley based insurgents were almost non existent before this conflict) The later section, he explains the connection of Naga insurgents and certain MLAs and its ISI(basically the Pak govt). So it seems like the situation is such that, all groups (meitei, naga, kuki) are being exploited by various foreign elements to keep fuelling the conflict, obstructing people from doing their job and the only loss is faced by people through rampant extortion and violence. Basically, whole apple is rotten from the core and many people have been compromised or blackmailed.
