- I spent 24 hours with the real Indiana Jones, professional explorer Mike Corey from @fearlessandfar
Mike took me on the craziest adventure inside the ancient Mayan Underworld, known as "Xibalba" or the "Place of Fear." With permission and guidance from local Mayan leaders, we trekked through the Yucatán Peninsula's underground cave system to find the "Cemetery of the Ancients," a secret chamber within this underground maze that holds remnants of Mexico's ancient Mayan past.
Mike Corey is a biologist, explorer, and intrepid adventurer who shares his wild travel journeys on his RUclips channel Fearless & Far. He is also the host of "Uncharted Adventure" on the Weather Channel. From finding a lost crystal skulls in a cave in Belize, to living with remote tribes all over the world, Mike Corey truly is like the real life Indiana Jones and has documented some of the craziest stuff I've ever seen on RUclips.

Sky, that wasn't a coral snake! You guys recorded an EXTREMELY RARE snake that was only recently discovered! It's called Geophis lorancai, a type of ground snake. What a cool and rare gem to see! They're harmless from what we know so far.

I loved this video for a couple reasons, both because it was so cool to see where my distant ancestors would have lived, but also because this video was super real about the process of doing stuff like this. I always wonder about the process of the stuff you do, especially in terms of things like bug bites and other reactions to things, so it was really interesting to see that actually happening on camera!
It’s definitely a process! And there’s a lot that isn’t shown on camera 😂 having to travel with all our camera gear in these environments is quite tricky!

I'm not trying to be cynical or anything but where do you get your data that says that 5% of the world's population is indigenous people and also where you got the data that says they watch over and protect those places?? I'd have to believe that many many places have been claimed or taken by governments and then are cutoff from people seeing them and even those who created it or where it's part of their ancestry. One that I can think of off the top of my head is all the caves and supposed underground dwellings and cities and tombs as well that are located in the bottom of the Grand Canyon.
