The helicopter ran into the plane. The plane didn't run into the helicopter. Say it right. The plane was LANDING.
The military can do no wrong according to our ruling class.
They acting like a passenger airplane can turn in seconds 😂
The plane did in fact run into the helicopter but it's not the plane's fault, it just turned into the direction of the helicopter at the last minute, the idea is that the helicopter could've tried to maneuver out of the plane's way. I heard that the helicopter operators were told to let the airplane pass first but they didn't respond.
It was a hit. Let’s see who was on that plane
The plane had the right to be there ,the helicopter was only training they could of trained later,or been aware of the live airport with planes landing ,and taking off ,right is right it was the army helicopters fault , to all the family’s that lost there loved ones prayers please Lord and to the people that have to live with this tragedy Namely the traffic controller who had to watch this unfold dam shame your life is ruined to.
Why they keep saying the plane collided with the chopper!? It was the chopper that collided with the plane who supposedly had visuals of the plane.
Exactly, they were secs away from landing too smh
Someone said the helicopter may have been talking about the other plane in the video that had already passed and didn't see the other plane. Idk if that's true or not. I've also seen ppl say that when the plane is so low, it's lights blend into the surrounding city and airport lights. Idk.
I heard there were night vision goggle onboard and there was possibility flying with night vision on and no electronics guiding them. With night vision on, there’s possiblity they genuinely didn’t see the plane when taking into account the lack of peripheral vision, distance judgment, and tunnel vision. Don’t know for sure though
Thats fucked up
Doesn’t matter to most people. Plane crashed. Pilots didn’t prevent it. Whether they could have, nobody will remember.
A helicopter had no business being remotely close to a landing zone.
Exactly
its on purpose maybe, its a hit on target.
@@crypty9365 not everything is a conspiracy. Helicopters from the nearby military base regularly fly down that route. The problem is, that route should’ve NEVER been made to begin with. This is a combination of dreadful planning and human error.

@@Jordabrz Praying does nothing
The army needs to pay all the families of the victims. The helicopter collided with the aircraft!!!!!!!! NOT the other way around. The aircraft was LANDING.
Edit: The ridiculous argument down below:
Yes, it was a collision. Both objects were in motion. You have a phone to post comments on RUclips, use your phone to look up the word collision in a dictionary.
Second point : the aircraft was exactly where it was supposed to be, following it's flight plan, on trajectory.
The helicopter wasn't. You cannot dispute this fact, the helicopter was where it wasn't supposed to be.
Regardless, whether the plane hit the helicopter or not, what are you expecting a plane that has its flaps out landing at low speed to do with a helicopter in front of it where it wasn't supposed to be? It doesn't have enough time to spool up its engines, and avoid the collision. Not to mention that the helicopter had its lights off as well.
I'm sorry, blaming the plane in this circumstance makes you peak stupid. You have a brain, please use it.

Trump also shares some of the responsibility. This accident likely wouldn't have happened had he not gutted the air safety positions and air traffic controllers.
JANUARY 20 - Trump fires the head of the Federal Aviation Administration, the department in charge of flight safety
JANUARY 21 - Trump freezes hiring for Air Traffic Controllers
JANUARY 22 - Trump disbands the Aviation Safety Advisory Committee
JANUARY 28 - Trump sends out a buyout/retirement demand to existing employees, removing experienced safety staff
JANUARY 29 - First American mid-air collision in 16 years
Just like Trump had done right before the pandemic during his first term. He fired all the experts that were in positions to address a pandemic, which is why even though the US only makes up 4% of the worlds population, we had 25% of the worlds deaths from COVID.
We will see more of these types of tragedies over the next 4 years.
Words can't describe how heartbreaking this is
Sad so so sad 😢
God is just 🇵🇸
I got off an AA flight yesterday, very scary.
Both sad and really stupid, for the military to not only fail to have common sense but to have enough stupidity to be near an airport while training is kinda on them. For the people on the plane that crashed, my heart goes out to all of them
@@sorexinferno3477u know who is responsible for that..
I just don’t know why we’re doing helicopter exercises, WITHOUT LIGHTS ON, next to civilian airports. Makes no sense
Because it's always a training exercise or weather balloon or wild fire or global warming or drones or..
Because our military and government don't care about us. A couple of civilians is really nothing to them.
@Majik888 we live in a fukd up and very corrupt country. It's sad
We need to. But I do think this training exorcize went wring
Wrong
When I first heard about the crash, I was somewhat optimistic that there’d be survivors. The fact no one survived is just heartbreaking.
It’s also devastating hearing someone’s voice moments before a tragedy that would end their life.
That's very sad. Devastating.
Yeah and to think that they were all just trapped. There’s no toughness or smart decision making that could save them. That’s sad. :(
It has to be crazy going through that wreckage and finding 67 human beings in it and none of them still with us… Just a bunch of ghosts.
@Axxidous very sad but yet very chilling to hear about. Makes you not want to ever go on an airplane ever again. That's how I'm feeling right now. I'm already terrified of going on airplanes as it is right now then hearing all about this makes it even worse to ever want to go on an airplane ever again. Sucks you go on something to reach a destination knowing you're about to go on something knowing you have no control of and that you're pretty much putting your life and trust in the hands of someone else not really knowing if they'll be the one responsible of ending your life. Very scary and very sad.
You should take a moment to watch and listen to Rich aka SKY KING on his way out hijacking a plane and even doing a BARREL ROLL in it with f22s following him. he pulled up 5 feet from the water landing it

As far as I understand the helicopter collided with the plane.
Yup 100 on the helicopter error
Exactly.
And EVERY time the military F's something up like this, there never will be full accountability or transparency.
Why are so many people confused by this? The heilo went right infront of the plane. Thus, the plane, physically hit the chopper. The chopper was in the wrong, yes. but the plane hit the chopper, not the other way around. If the chopper flew into the side of the plane, it would be the chopper hitting the plane. But its not. The plane hit the chopper. Still, it can be the choppers fault..... please, people, use your god damn brains.
I’m sure they understand that. The issue is with framing it as the plane hitting the helicopter is the military loses culpability in the eyes of the world. The military was negligent and people lost their livers. I guarantee that’s why people are focusing on the semantics. Exactly
Negligence sir
Chain of events. It's never one single mistake that causes a massive tragedy. It's always a 3 piece that kills.
I heard the Blackhawk could have been training without electronics and using night vision, which distorts judgement on distance and altitude, so they might not have known how high they were or even seen the plane with night vision on. Not sure how accurately air traffic can tell altitude. Also not sure what the contact was between the air traffic controller, the military air traffic, and the Blackhawk. I’m just a regular guy with no knowledge of how this stuff works, but to me it seems like some miscommunication, lack of communication, and poor location choice for that type of training if that’s what was going on.
Thank god someone in these comments has a brain and isn’t a bot.

In the '90s, I used to fly in and out of the Pentagon regularly, and I can tell you if you are flying on the route over the Potomac and wearing night vision goggles, it's going to be very hard to see that plane. If you're not wearing the goggles, then you might have a chance”.

No one should be near final when a plane is trying to land. Helicopter on VFR bears all the responsibility and blame. Completely unacceptable action.
They got the WHOLE sky and hit a plane. That's impressive.
Something doesn’t add up here. All these years this has never happened, now it randomly does? No one will know, but this is unacceptable.
It does add up when you consider the ongoing gutting of air safety staff to the point where one tired, overworked person is doing the job of several. While such an impactful accident occurring over Washington D.C. can easily invite wild speculation and even conspiracy, please do not jump to wild conclusions when the cause and effect is so obvious.
@@henrysmith4907But even then it wasn't the fault of ATC. The Helicopter just wasn't careful and made a mistake, at best. Or at worst they were being extremely negligent. Either way, ATC maintained communication and the commercial pilots were doing their jobs right. Whether the black hawk was 'flying dark' with night vision on, or they were off route, or they were too high, or whatever the case might be, the fault lies with the military on this. I don't know about the whole conspiracy that it was done on purpose or not. But I do know that the government is likely going to muddy the waters as much as they can to not take the blame as much as they can.
@SuperSpells agreed. Not to mention the helicopter would have an easier time maneuvering away vertically and should've been more aware when in an airport fly zone. My heart goes out to all the families who lost their loved ones.. god bless my prayers are with y’all
My goodness this makes me so sad!!! Prayers to all the families I truly can’t imagine. I have never been on a plane and this just gives me anxiety as I was planning for the first time in my 29 yrs of life! Ugh, So heart breaking!! 😢
May they all rest in peace 🕊🕊🕊🙏
F me if im wrong but isnt military equipment more advanced than civilian equipment
Yes, and helicopters are designed to be more maneuverable than a commercial jet. Plus, from the way things seem, the helicopter pilot is the one at fault
@avenger374 are you saying it was intentional?
I just feel like that helicopter shouldn’t have been anywhere near the airport just idling around…prayers to everyone!
Dam I cant imagine how the families are feeling right now my condolences
Training at night within close proximity to a civilian airport? Ok who unwisely thought that be a bright idea?
probably the people that came up with the idea to put the air force base next to the airport.
I've read that the Blackhawk had a 200 ft ceiling but was at 400 ft. However, why did air traffic control know that? Did not both aircraft have transponders? Why didn't air traffic control see the problem? Why are helicopters flying that close to 5he approach on that run way in the first place?
Just so devastating and sad for the family members that lost their loved ones
Can't they find another place for the helicopter to do it's training? What is a Blackhawk helicopter (that is made not to be seen at night) doing near a airport where airplanes take off and land? Why does a airplane have to worry about Blackhawk helicopters in training? This makes no sense to anyone. Is this happening at all airports and the public is not aware? Sounds like a nightmare waiting to happen. What a waste of human life. So stupid. Prayers for the families for this tragedy that should of never happened.
Why is a chopper flying in the area first of all.? An army training chopper. ??? Hmmmm
The Army should be embarrassed by this incident, this was not the planes fault.
Its like a nightmare. I still can't believe, this actually happened. 😢
Im an ex vet we never trained at night this shit was on purpose lets see who was on the plane prayers for the famlies 💪🏿💪🏿🖤💯
100% wrong. Dude it’s 2025 there’s no need for ignorant conspiracies when you can find out the facts. Were you ever stationed in DC and flew in any blackhawks? Don’t think so. They do night flies once every couple of months. Sometimes with night vision sometimes with out. Visibility is fucking terrible out there on the Potomac with all the lights and reflection of the water. Flying a manual helicopter is much tougher than flying a plane that basically flies itself.
The victims were athletes and athletes families… what high value target do you know that flies commercial on a small plane lol. I bet you’re a smart guy, Time to leave the conspiracies alone when the facts are on the table to see.
I'm a recently retired vet. I've done plenty of night training. How'd you get away with never doing it? What was your MOS?
Are you implying that the military targeted figure skaters? By destroying a Blackhawk and three personnel? Please look up Hanlon's razor for your own sake.
