Me calling 911... 911, please state your emergency. My 1981 Donkey Kong Cab is in need of some TLC... I was playing a game, and out of no where smoke filled the room. My first thought was, where and the hell is Retro Ralph when I need him. Long story short, I recapped my monitor and all is well again. Great video dude and seeya on the next one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pretty low barrier to entry too, especially compared to other hobbies. There’s a lot you can do with just a multimeter, soldering iron, and following troubleshooting guides!
The hunt for and the restoration thereof of arcade games is often greater than the games themselves. When the past comes alive again and in its previous glory... that's such a great feeling! Also, Happy Thanksgiving Ralph and family!
Ralph....you...are...the...man!! If you ever do a local event to share your games, I'm soooo there to play that RoadBlasters cab!!!!! Incredible loyalty to the original cabinet heritage and outrageously awesome results! ....awe crap, I just got to the part where you said it's going to auction!!!
It’s not something I ever thought I would do with an original arcade Machine but I love the outcome. It won’t be the norm for sure. But this one made sense to Me. Thanks so much for watching man! 🙏🏼 I hope you had a great Thanksgiving!
aww man you're giving up the roadblasters?! aww man that thing looked super sick from the videos that you worked on it! but hopefully it finds a new home. that X-MEN/TMNT combo looked pretty sweet too. Definitely cool to have the board switcher to stick more than one game in there, Konami had a ton of those four-player games so that's a really cool thing to do on one!
Always awesome to have a good friend like that. I’m currently accepting applications for an awesome friend like that! What’s your current arcade count at?
Yeah, I had never been, I had heard awesome things but never actually took the trek. It’s a killer place. It’s on the opposite side of the valley so it’s not very convenient for me. Anyhow, I’m excited to go back, it’s a very cool location.
Just finished restoring/converting a simpsons to tmnt. I love that the simpsons has the swing out back door and t mold over the marquee. Those Konami cabinets housed probably the best couple arcade best em ups of all time. Too bad turtles in time pcb has gotten so expensive.
Man that cabinet looks like the one I parted out. It was a gauntlet legends with a bad monitor. Sold the pcb and put the rest on the curve for bulk pick up :/ Since I have no room for anything.
Happy Thanksgiving!! I am trying to clean my wells gardner monitor from my recently acquired Mortal Kombat 1 arcade machine. What is the best way to remove the dust layer on it. I don’t want to stretch it and waiting to find out how to do it.
You can clean it with some simple green and low water pressure. You will want to discharge it first, remove the anode and also carefully remove the neck board. Then you can spray it all down with simple green, use a very soft brush if needed for stubborn spots. Rinse it off with low water pressure and let it air dry for 2 or so days before powering it back on. I let it sit in the sun for a day or two but I’m in Arizona so that part is easy. I hope this helps and awesome question!
Hey Ralph, what's the name of the shop that rebuilt your monitor and chassis for I think narc. My smash tv needs a rebuild and I need some help. Thanks
You should do a review on the arpicade. Its a jamma adapter that you connect a raspberry pi to be able to use on old arcade crt monitors. I have one in my tmnt and it’s pretty great.
Thanks man, I really appreciate that. I don’t currently work in the industry. I have friends that do and I have spoken to Raw Thrills about a job in the past. Nothing has panned out so far though. Maybe one day 🙏🏼. Thanks again for the support and kind words, I really appreciate it!
Great video! Do not order cpo's from escape pod!!!! The quality isn't there yet. Side art is good from escape pod if you're looking for some quality side art. Phoenix arcade doesn't disappoint on cpo's. Happy gaming
@@RetroRalph :D yeah restoreing it is was awsome allways takes me back to the days of the arcades when adding graphics back to a piece and its realy starting to come together great work 👍
great video im 19 and i have a nba jam i paid 40 bucks for with a working board missing a monitor but i think i found one that will work i want to restore that game so bad 4 players are amazing and fun to play with friends
Hope to see more of your X-men cab 🤗
Arcade 911, baby!!! 🚨👊🏻 Such an epic time.
I agree, can’t wait for the next one!
Xen and Turtles hold a lot of nostalgia for me. Simpsons is great but I don't have as much history with it. Good luck with Captain's Audition. 👍

Been working on my Tempest and Popeye this week. Always enjoy your videos, Ralph!
Thanks brother, I appreciate the support! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family! ✊🏻🦃
Tempest and Popeye are two awesome games!
Restoring old arcade games sounds like so much fun.
Pretty low barrier to entry too, especially compared to other hobbies. There’s a lot you can do with just a multimeter, soldering iron, and following troubleshooting guides!
I love when things come up "not too soon." Lol
Both of the machines looked great! Looking forward to the full episodes!

Very true - and similar to other restoration-centric hobbies like working on classic cars or motorcycles!
If you ever come back to Chicago, you can for sure restore an Arcade of mine for an episode!! Great idea regardless!!
Awesome stuff! Pimp My Arcade
Excellent Episode Retro Ralph!!!!
Imagine Justin buys the sit down roadblasters from captains auction 🤠 and then he sells the standup cab back to you 🎉
Wouldn’t that be something…. Haha.
Looks like an awesome weekend! Excited for our next hangout session.
PS: Nice hoodie ;)
Looks great guys! Enjoying the content.

Sounds like a history channel TV show idea for arcade repair.
Arcade 911 needs to be pitched to Discovery Plus! Love these restoration videos
You never know man, thanks so much for watching!
That RoadBlasters Cockpit looks pretty bright and tight Ralph!
Nice work 👍
Bright and tight, all day and all night! Haha… thanks so much for watching bud!
Huuuuge Nick fan here. Love the Arcade 911 concept. Keep up the amazing work! 🙌
Huuuuuuge Oscar fan over here! ❤️
You've turned to the dark side! Turning a cab into something else! But hey congrats on progress!

Aww damn! Not the Roadblasters cab! =(
It was my mistake, it’s just too darn big. I love it though, it will be missed 😢
Always awesome to have a good friend like that. I’m currently accepting applications for an awesome friend like that! What’s your current arcade count at?
Dude, weren't you rocking an Electric Bat shirt for forever? And you've never been?
Love the vid BTW

Awesome! Nothing like working on some arcade cabinets.❤
I'm going to consider subscribing to this channel.....
Eagerly awaiting the next chasing nostalgia
Arcade 911 ideas pretty cool not going to lie
Also Joe Szabo makes a great Xmen control panel with reverse print on acrylic.
That yellow T Molding, though! 😏
Retro Ralph your channel rocks man thats an awesome arcade machine

I watched the video Ralph...lol
Thanks bro … haha. Appreciate ya ✊🏻
You’re next MOAT! We gotta find you that Big Blue.
Hey Ralph! Great video. Any word on my killer instinct cabinet? Is it almost done? Hahaha 😆
I finished it and sold it to my buddy Rudy. I will get you next time brother ✊🏻
@@RetroRalph that's awesome! Did I miss another video? Or it was just that one from 7 or so months ago?
Nice I recently got a Mach3 and Cockpit Pole Position 2 Which i have wanted for so long
Looks great Ralph. Why not sell cabinet, instead of auction it? Just wondering.
I don’t think I will get what I want for it locally. So auction it is 👍🏻. Thanks so much for watching bud! I hope all is well!
Man that cabinet looks like the one I parted out. It was a gauntlet legends with a bad monitor. Sold the pcb and put the rest on the curve for bulk pick up :/ Since I have no room for anything.
I WISH I had the scratch to take that Roadblasters before you spend the money to ship it to CA... :(
I’ve been trying to get a X-Men graphics kit from Szabos for over month. Looks like Escape Pod just earned my money

Thanks man, I really appreciate you watching and supporting the channel! 🙏🏼
No one locally wanted the Roadblasters? I am shocked!
Hey Ralph, have you been to Cobra Bar in Phoenix? Went there once in my college days. Bar full of arcades. Lots of fun.
I can't believe you're getting rid of the roadblasters cockpit

Sharp Image Repair in NV. Here’s the website: sharpimagerepair.com They do great work! ✊🏻.
Thank you Sir
