I’m 69 years old. Three of my grandparents were born in Sicily, one in Calabria. Your videos remind me of some very happy childhood memories. Thank you.
My Mom was from Calabria too. Came to the US in 1939, just before the war when she was 18. I have memories of so much different foods she would cook. Home made bread baked in a coal stove was my favorite. Then all the different Christmas and Easter foods. She lived to 98 yrs.
That artwork of your grandfather looking into the mountains and his parents looking at him remind me so much of being an immigrant as my self, when my family and I left Portugal, so heartfelt and touching piece of artwork your grandfather painted. GOD bless!
Ur not old nonna.....just experienced with a wealth of knowledge which can't b learned anywhere but on these videos....keep it up...I'll b watching....
God Bless you, Nonno e Nonna! Watching and listening to you warms my heart and reminds me how much I love my grandparents (all four are in Heaven now). Julian, thanks for sharing them with us. Happy St. Valentine's Day to all 🥰
I have made fettuccine Alfredo from scratch twice. I tried Nonnas recipe…… my husband while eating it was making noises that I’ve never heard before! I’m a good cook but Nona is the Best Cooker! Her recipe is our favorite Fettuccine Alfredo ever ever ever! Thank you for your families videos. A light in a dark world. God Bless ❤
@ oh yes, it was a huge surprise. I also visited my mother in law across the miles and made it for 10 people. 2 of them frequent Italy and they serve and cook the Alfredo dishes in front of you. They take a huge round Parmesan cheese brick and light the top on fire and scrape off the cheese for the dish. They showed me a video….even they were impressed with the recipe.
I love your Nonna and Nonno. They are a gift to the world. Thank you so much for sharing them with us. I love your Nonno’s painting. I could feel the varied emotions, hope and light on his side and a future ahead while staying connected with his home country and the parents standing to the side, in the shadow, knowing they had done their job to raise him and it was time to let go. As far as your Nonna’s cooking, I wish we had smello-vision. I can only imagine the wonderful smell and taste of her pasta cooked with so much love. ❤❤❤
Congratulations on 20K Nonna made delicious Fettuccine Alfredo, and I always love anything Nonno says, such a beautiful story and painting. Julian, Thank you!❤😊
Thank you for sharing your wonderful Nonna and Nonno with us all. I love watching and listening to it all go down. So good and so sweet. You are and EXCELLENT grandson.
The artist & cook and don't forget "comedians" too! The sweet Italian couple always makes me laugh! I had several Italian relatives so I can relate to how they think & communicate! We would visit with Aunt Marie and enjoy an Italian dinner with plenty of laughter!😄Brings back so many fond memories! So, now I can enjoy more moments of laughing out loud!😁
Nonno…so humble about his talents. Love your grandparents, they always exude family love and the deepest love and respect for each other. Thanks Julian for always sharing your family with us, esp Nonno and nonna🙏🏾😊💛
You’re doing a great job with the channel, Julian! It would be helpful if you would put a mic on Nonna when she’s cooking so we can hear every single thing she says, please! Love your grandparents so much!
My boss has been holding out on me, regarding his homemade alfredo sauce and I've been suffering through pre made maket jars forever. I am so excited to make this myself. There's nothing like from scratch, and I just know it's gonna be great because Nonna made it. Thank you so much for sharing !
Thank you, Nonna for sharing your recipes. They so very delicious and I’m so excited to try them. Nonno, you are so very talented. Your artistry is magical!❤
I have been watching some of your vlogs and love them! I could not help but subscribe. Your grandparents are so sweet and humble. I love how creative your Nonno is and I can just taste your Nonnas cooking. Absolutely a feel good vlog:)
This is such a special channel 🥰. Always have a big laugh or two and feeling good after watching a segment. Spectacular painting and very meaningful btw wow! Nonno has many wonderful talents.
I lost my Sicilian grandpa eight years ago next week. I adored him more than I could ever express. Your videos make me feel just a little closer to my life before he died. Cherish these days. ❤
Beautiful talented family, God bless them and love all the cooking nonna creates. Nonno is VERY talented in all he does, his art, inventions, gardening etc.. And that panting your nonno painted, brought me to tears. I remember my grandparents who immigrated to the United States and left their beautiful family, friends and house in the mountains of southern Italy. I'm sure they felt like your nonno did, did they make the right decision? Who knows, but we are here because of them and for that I am forever grateful. RIP nonno Gio and nonna Maria Carmela, I miss and think of them everyday. Baci a tutti e auguri
How very lucky you are to have your grandparents. I miss mine everyday watching yours! Thanks for the memories these videos brings back to me. And a plus some are the recipes!!💜

Your very lucky to have your Grand parents may God bless them with long life! your videos remind me of my grand parents great times they from Sicily and bought lots good memories cooking with my Nonna. Thank you for this video!
I adore your family. It takes me back to growing up in New York many years ago and the wonderful memories of community in our neighborhood. May god bless you all.
Nono you should know by now that what happens under the table stays under the table ( wink wink ). That painting was so well done and holds such sentiment at a pivotal moment in your life.
i love their voices and accents! i am going to try to make some of this food soon-so exciting! i hope you guys are having a great day! your grandfather is an AMAZING ARTIST holy shit!
My family originated from Germany a long time ago but much of the traditions were carried on generations later. Watching your video about preparing food, family stories and interaction between all generations reminds me of my childhood. Thank you for sharing these for all to enjoy.

Very unique take on fettuccine Alfredo! Always thought the copious amounts of grated cheese with the past water created the creamy sauce, but this sounds delicious! Will have to give it a try. Nonna & Nonno are too cute together!
You’re well on your way to 1MIL! ✨🥰✨. We love the Nonno and Nonna! But I’m with Nonno on the pasta, soft as Heaven for me too! ✨ GOD BLESS YOUR FAMILY!

Love how you are honoring your wonderful, deserving grandparents.
Homemade is the best. You’re a great chef Nonna. Thank you for sharing your amazing recipes.
The pinch your Nonna gives Nonno after he claims again that he's not an artist is so endearing. Clearly they still get along well.
Like my mama
Not alfredo's fettuccine but ok...❤❤
The pinching under the table was it for me🤣🤣🤣🤣💜💜💜💜💜💜💜love you Nonna and nonno💚💚💚💚💚

@@thespicynonnahave you ever asked your grandparent's on what prompted them to want to move to Canada???
C'est bien de se souvenir de ses racines, surtout si elles sont si douces et joyeuses. ❤

I like the way you describe your husband's reaction! I was curious if the cream cheese was good in this recipe, and it sounds like it was!
