they actually do currently have pretty poor quality control now a days thats why theyre going bankrupt if you look at physical models not just the ones on their website from the past few years you can notice small details such as the logo being of or divits in the wood on the necks or the fret inlays being slightly off its small details like that that have driven guitarists away from them

Wow, I only paid $1,300 for my 1921 A2 and $1,000 for my 1924 A jr snakehead, and they're actually Gibsons in excellent condition.

Gibson started in 1902 not in the 1800s
Orville Gibson made his first instrument, a 10 string Mando Guitar in 1894 .. In 1898 he made several of the first Archtop guitars and in 1899 he invented the first A style and F style mandolins which are now pretty much the standard. The company was founded in 1902 but Orville was hand making instruments 8 years earlier.
This is like one of the Holy Grails of mandolins
