Do you have a retirement account yet? The earlier you start contributing towards retirement, the better the compounding interest will work in your favour.

It sounds robust, but I’m worried about how to maximize my retirement savings if I were living there. With the cost of living in Switzerland, wouldn’t it be tough to retire comfortably without strategic investments?

Absolutely, especially if you’re relying too heavily on just one of the three pillars. A big mistake people make is not diversifying their retirement plans. The occupational pension alone might not be enough, and private savings can lose value over time due to inflation. I’ve seen too many people ignore the importance of aligning their investments with long-term goals.

This is exactly why I started working with my advisor, Joseph Nick Cahill. He has extensive experience with clients who want to build wealth globally, including those who retire in high-cost countries like Switzerland. After my own portfolio took a hit in 2020, he helped me rebound and set a clear path toward financial independence. Plus, he offers free consultations, which is great if you’re just exploring your options.

That sounds like the kind of guidance I need. One of the biggest pitfalls I’ve seen is underestimating how much you’ll need for healthcare and housing. The Swiss pension system is solid, but if you don’t grow your private investments, it’s easy to fall short. I’m managing my portfolio myself right now, but it’s been challenging to get consistent returns.

Exactly. Inflation can quietly erode your wealth if you’re not careful. Another common mistake people make is withdrawing from their investments too early or not accounting for taxes. I’d recommend finding someone who understands these complexities, especially in a system as structured as Switzerland’s.

I just found the CFA you mentioned on the web. I am impressed. I also scheduled with him too.
      His consulting page ranked top
