You are the only one who had a video on taking the dash apart for this. Also I was installing the same remote start, so thank you very much!! Very helpful, and easy to do!!
Thanks for the video...I was able to install one of these on the wife's 2012 Liberty over the weekend with the help of your video and other than having a little trouble getting the oem harness unplugged due to my big fingers the install was a breeze and wife is happy!
I would love to have a friend like that. So when my know it all Male friends ask me how I get it done correctly....I'll hit'em with that Gomer Pyle hook, a female " surprise surprise"!!😎 thanks a whole lot an have a blessed Christmas to all...
Just did the add on on a 2009 F250. No bypass harness plugs - had to solder all connections. Works good so far but can't figure why no bypass harness made up. Would have cut the wiring down alot. Only would have had 4 or 5 solder points. Had to manually program the unit and wire in the remote start unit. Still, for $120.00 and using my remotes, it is a sweet deal.
Hi,Thanks for the video.I do have the exact same car, but I am struggling to find the correct remote starter. I actually ordered the same product, but it did not come with the correct t harness. I am all not sure, if it has been programmed correctly. Can you tell me, where you bought your device? Hope you can help, it's getting now. Thank you so much
marcinusa USA I believe I got mine off Amazon. Sorry for the late reply! I would try doing the steps over again is it possible that you held down the button too long and erase the programming?
Well this was a plug n play install since my vehicle was already equipped. There are other systems that are much more complicated with more wiring involved if the vehicle is not already set up for one. But ya........they clearly make a killing if it's as easy as this.
yes but the 2 yellows have to be together for it to work , your came already together i can see it in the video they are , but if they do not come spliced , you'll have to do that. thank you
I installed mine a year ago and a few months later the hazard lights would start flashing a couple times for no reason. One day they flashed a lot and I disconnected it and haven't used it since. Also had dealer service done and they had to reset the computer because of an Key Fob error code. Anyone have advise on this? 2011 Jeep Liberty
My 2009 Liberty had contracted Alzheimer’s last week and couldn’t tell the difference between a programmed key from being stolen. Having a sense of security is great, until it bites you hard in the ass and your Jeep is nothing but a gorgeous lawn ornament that everyone thinks it’s a POS. True story, now I’ve gotta send my ECU to AllComputerResources for a reprogram and get a SKIM delete, once all is said and done, hopefully I can use even a non-chipped blade to drive it.
Fred Dubose this device was programmed specifically for this vehicle. You need to check with the manufacturer and see if they have one available for your vehicle.
On the key fob does it have to have the x2 button on there for the remote start to work mine just has the panic an the lock an unlock buttons jw thanks
Why not video the man doing it the 1st time instead of having him do it then you pretend you did it? Thumbs down, next time just video the man that really did the work,
I recently bought a 2012 jeep liberty sport....used of course, however in great condition. I love it! One initial issue is the 'hood holder' is detached from the body. ...(you know...the 2 foot metal shaft that holds the hood up) Can you share how to fix that? Thank you
Not sure on that one.....I would have to take a look at it! Maybe another vid in the future :) Depending what is broken I'm sure you can get a replacement or even finagle some zip ties. Glad you love your jeep - I love mine as well!
cmedeiros17 thanks for the reply...watching your vids encouraging me to install my own remote start. Im going to sincerely try it. I love youtube and you might even see a link for my own fixes. Go Canes
You have convinced me to buy this product. You did a great job explaining the wire connections and i will buy the harness too.
Wonderful job on instructing. Tnx for the the share.
And my wife don't know how to put air in her tires🤤 F@#K my life!

Very well explained , the remote start brand also works on 2005 Jeep Liberty too?
What name for remote
Damn makes you wonder why they charge so much to install remote starters

Awesome, nice to see a woman know her stuff about cars, I have a jeep liberty also , that is awesome, thank you.
5 Min longer - and i ll fall in love - TY.
Friendly regards from Stuttgart / Germany.
very good video thank you installed in a 2005 jeep cherokee , it was exactly the same
Mark Sinsel awesome! Thx 😎
one question. did you tie the yellow wires together one from the first 20 pin connect and the loose yellow from the t harness?thanks
i believe this is the only wiring to connect
Mark Sinsel everything I did was plug n play. I didnt have to deal with any wiring/splicing
yes but the 2 yellows have to be together for it to work , your came already together i can see it in the video they are , but if they do not come spliced , you'll have to do that. thank you
Hi, I don't want disturbing your self but you are beautiful
Should be the same hook up for a Nitro, what brand did you buy
lol well, this was a video i didn't know I needed. Cheers.
Did you have to program it yourself or did it comes all set for you aka do I need to buy the flash link ?
This one was already programmed for my vehicle. Just be sure whoever you are purchasing it from pre-programmed it.
@@cmedeiros17 what is the link ?? For this??
@@cmedeiros17 wow that's good info please can you explain how they can pre-programm it before you get it?
Awesome detail.. Thank you!
Can i order a remote starter for my Suzuki 2007 sx4 model 2007 ?
Saved me. I was keeping the key in the ignition which is what happens when you follow the manual exactly.
Thanks for the video. It would be nice to have this with ac blasting in SC, prior to getting in.
Did you research the OEM Jeep system? Cost?
so i have jeep liberty 04 also can you show me how to take it off becuz my jeep is total lost....?
Wooooooooo😱an incredible job👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
She describes the process in detail. Does and don’ts. 👌
You’re awesome lol! I just hooked my JKU thanks!
or use a screwdriver or pick to push the lock tab down to release the connector

great video, just curious as to how you connected the white wiring harness?
Thanks for the vid. Just installed mine . Works great.
Trying to find that kit...can you help?
Old link is in description Dino. From there you should be able to search the part number.
@@brianmedeiros417 Thanks for the info...found the unit and it is installed!!!!
@@DinoCarroll Nice!
Is there a way to program it to be the unlock button instead of the lock bottom? I kinda don't like that it honks when you lock it lol
Depending on your model you can deactivate the horn. Owners manual would be a good starting point.
Alberto Ochoa I believe if go to jeep website... Go to Jeep...then owners you should be able to find and locate that option
Before I mess up my car, does this work on any vehicle? A car 10 years older?
Fred Dubose this device was programmed specifically for this vehicle. You need to check with the manufacturer and see if they have one available for your vehicle.
Can it really be this easy as plug n play
It is.
Thanks, was able to install it easily following these instructions
On the key fob does it have to have the x2 button on there for the remote start to work mine just has the panic an the lock an unlock buttons jw thanks
does not need the autostart button.
Nice demonstration all
Worked to perfection. Even bought exact tool at harbor freight for $10. Included other sizes also.
How much is that $10?
Thanks for taking the time to share this information.
Is there a hood lock-out switch to disable the unit while working under the hood? Seems like a potentially dangerous situation.
Yeah
Disconnect the battery
what size are those tires?
No idea. They were stock. Jeep was sold a while ago.
@@brianmedeiros417 dunno, I have a 2010 Liberty , Rocky Mountain edition. Came with 18” wheels as stock
Awesome...... thanks.....
nice
in the box it came in there was a small on /off toggle switch no one has talked about this why
There were extra components in the box for other model installations. Was not used in this one.
What is the extra toggle switch for valet turn off and on so no one can mess with it or watt
Cool
Thanks
Thank you.....
