I really love this. Instead of using stones, you could have used white sand which is better for live fish. Thank you for sharing this, I truly love this.

😄...The joke is, for my daughter's reception, I'm already in the process of making $1 look look like $1M!! But the shower. We've thrown ideas around & just couldn't come up with anything where we jump up & down and go, "OMG! OMG!" This project has just put the idea in my head! Not under the sea... At the lake! Now to go buy the materials & get my handy dandy tools. I have crafting to do.

You could even get the fake floating fish if you wanted to keep this as a permanent table setting I think Dollar tree might even have them

We are a UK couple having a beach themed wedding as my fiancé is a diver & I am a nurse & we both love the beach, the sea & conservation x however our wedding has been postponed due to COVID 19!! Very beautiful but please don't encourage people to use real fish in those, specially goldfish, they need waaay more space than that :(

suzie Perez, usually when people use fish, as Dani did, the fish are given as favors for home aquariums.
@suzie Perez: I agree the goldfish need more space, but seeing how this isn't going to be their permanent home, they'll be ok.
carlamichelle46 a lot of people think it's okay to keep them in just a bowl, they don't know that they need bigger space. Plus depending on how many center pieces you need, they more fish there will be so I guess what I'm saying is I hope they have a really big fish tank for all those goldfish.
Agreed the fish are stressed. No air, too small a bowl plus 4 in that small bowl the ammonia will build up quick and kill them. I would use 1-2 small fish, aerate the bowl with a small pump and don't leave them in the bowl more than one hour.

Hello, Blondie! Thanks! Yes. There is enough oxygen in the 8 inch bowl to tithe the fish over from set - up to the end of the event and then some. It would be up to the event planner to decide how to re-home these fish whether by giving them to the guests as favors or returning them to a pet store. I hope this helps. Be well. ") ~ Danielle

I love this project and will be using for an upcoming party. Where did you get the large shells to place on the candle holders ?
Thank you kindly, Diva! Happy crafting! The large shells you speak of is a single component. I got them from Michael's this summer when they were on clearance. But, you just came up with a great idea! You could glue Dollar Tree candle sticks together, spray paint them the color of your choice, and place large shells on top... Yay! I hope this helps! It is beautiful as I love the beach but the goldfish will die without oxygen you can use a beta fish of course you can only put one because they will fight until one kills the other one but they are beautiful fish and don't need oxygen just an idea but I love it thank you for sharing
