What a great conversation! I feel like there are multiple reasons for Chanel’s price increase. 1 is definitely to create scarcity, which increase demand and value for them. But I feel like other physical limitations are also at play here. The panorama created a lot of breaks in the supply chain. Chanel and many other brands have had a lot of noticeable issues with quality (to the point where I personally won’t buy anything made after 2020 right now) and ‘artisan’ retention. I feel like brands such as Louis Vuitton and Chanel are hedging their bets for when the other shoes drops and their VIP clients start to complain about the issues they have little control over at the moment. Also, I too am not a fan of the Black GHW classic flap. I’m just not a fan of the classic flap, though I do own one in off white! I liked and subscribe to your channel❤️ I have one too and actually just did my meteor Chanel handbag collection if youd like to see it ❤
