Hey! If you want to build a BMX there are some main factors you need to consider. First one is where do you wanna ride and what kind of tricks would you rather do. If you wanna ride street and skateparks you should pick freestyle frame (longer frame is more stable but harder to trick on and shorter frame is better for ticks but less stable.) In your case I would recommend bit bigger size 21"-22". Dirt frames are a bit longer to be more stable in air so in this case you should stick to bigger size. Bars - higher are more stable and better for rotations and smaller are better for manuals and bunnyhops. In your case you should buy bars between 9"-9.5". Stem - top load make bike higher but front load make bike longer. Remember that even with the same bar bike can feel completly different, for your height top load would be better. Remember to check stem size and bar diameter. Wheels size 20", if you wanna do fakies you can consider buying a freecoaster. Tieres - (2"-2,4" are gonna be more stable, 1.5"-2" gonna be much faster). Cranks 170-175mm are gonna be better for you. Chain you can pick between half link or full link (half link are better to adjust). Rest of the parts such ad saddle, fork, pedals, bearings, grips - make sure the sizes will match the parts.

It’s an entry level bike. It’s not going to be that expensive. You probably have a Walmart bmx bike that doesn’t even work
