He'd rather be a weight bully that misses weight than have a comfortable camp and fight at optimal strength. Good fighter, but peaked in his amateur years. The Olympics were his ceiling. He never developed into what folks thought he would. Yeah, he held a title, but has never beaten a world level guy.

Jojo trainers did him a disservice by not advising him to take an opportunity to sneak in a short upper during the flurries or moving his head more. Standing there and guarding just allowed Russell to stack up points and be in a better position to throw flurries.
