When you corrode your player bases trust as much as blizzard has done, you breed a skeptical fanbase. Even if everything revealed so far looks amazing, every player will always have in the back of their mind "oh but I can't forget that time blizzard literally fucking lied about this bullshit or that bullshit". People see patterns, and blizzard has a pattern of fucking over their player base, so even if everything on a surface level looks okay, not wanting to support blizzards bullshit or being skeptical of if the game will actually be good is completely reasonable
yep, I totally agree with you. I've already said before here and to friends that I really want to play this game, badly. But I'm obviously reticent about it given all the information we have on Blizzards m.o. There is a very self-evident difference between rationally hesitating and hating, and it seems to fly way above a lot of people's heads. Not because they bought the game, but because if presented with others' reasons not to buy it RIGHT NOW, they simply brush it aside as "copium", as a means to disable the fun out of those who have actually bought it. Many times that's simply not the case. Like I said, I really want to play this. I can afford the price tag. I'll probably play it at some point, when all's patched and done and said for. I'm just VERY hesitant about jumping in because there is literally no way of knowing how Blizzard will handle the game's future, given Blizzard being Blizzard, so there's that.

Id rather go play Guild Wars 2. It has everything people seem so hyped about, Mount Abilities, a truly MASSIVE open world, fast paced combat with an emphasis on evading rather than tanking damage, nonlinear questing where you get to chose what you play first, a deep crafting system and then some. The base game is also f2p with a cosmetic/convenience only cashshop. Standardized gear stats might not be to everyones liking, altho it allows really good balancing especially in PvP. Vastly superior game imho. While D4 is undoubtedly a massive upgrade over previous Diablos, Blizz couldve still done alot more. Where are Raids? Wheres actual new mechanics from Paragons instead of plain stat increase? FFA events? Flying mounts? Etc, etc... Im kinda dissapointed.
I've never liked armor cosmetics, as soon as transmog hit WoW, they stopped trying to make the in-game armor sets look unique or good. Nothing made me want to raid more than seeing a warrior standing in Orgimar wearing T3 armor. I have zero care about someone's gear score.
Its so weird to me that you can get the ENTIRE game for 70 dollars, yet they think it makes sense to Charge 100 dollars for enough premium currency to get like 5 skins. Since when does 5 skins cost most then the Entire game that costed millions of dollars and over 10 years to make??? its so obviously predatory towards people who cant control themselves..
I think this game looks great, and well I don't understand your chats comments about it being a D3 re-skin. I spent thousands of hours in that game, and yea there are comparisons you can make, but it defiantly is not a re-skin in the least bit. Played beta and it left me craving for more honestly. Blizzard fucked up with Immortal and they have been trying fix that since the " Don't you people have phones " comment. Not going keep holding that over them tbh. If game does end up dying FF16 and Revenant 2 is right around corner soooooooo. Think this will be another great Diablo though.
Y'all can't ding games for being repetitive but then praise this. All you're doing is clicking on enemies to kill them. That is all of the different things you can do. What's it going to be?
ARPGs are slot machines, ppl might not want to admit this but in the end you're not playing the game because of the game play its the high of dropping the rare item, same as slot machines its not rly fun to play but thats not why people spend hours on them.
Look boring to me. First time ever i don’t buy blizzard game and i play D2 for a decade. Maybe when he come to 50% off and a few season passed but i haven’t the hype for this game.
Exactly, mostly because WT2 doesn't effect main and side quest rewards so you end up getting the same amount of gold anyways... As for XP you are going to be more or less reach level 50 before you even touch all those hundreds of dungeons.
The idea among Gamers[tm] that anything involved in game development can be considered lazy is hella stupid. Designing armor, while not looking the way you want it to, is not easy, or something you can do lazily. It's hard as shit. People need to start educating themselves
oh how the tides have turned, all kinds of arpgs taking aspects of diablo they like (incl PoE) and now diablo does it (from PoE). Hurrah for ARPGS getting better. (or at least staying fresh)
i personally hate the mount. not because its in it but because what it means and symbolizes. that the world is too big and generic to hold your attention for long enough so you need to speed through it. not interesting enough from waypoint to waypoint.
I’m taking the campaign slow, not going to rush it I’ll only do the campaign once and after that I’ll cut scenes and speed run and worry about endgame but first time I’m clearing everything.
my biggest complaint is getting half way through a dungeon and the game loses connection, or a mission bugs out and I have to relog doing the mission all over again.
I've played for 15 hours and I haven't started act two yet. I've been enjoying completing all the side quests, exploring the world. Basically, I played D4 like breath of the wild, and I highly recommend it. I'm sure I will eventually get burned out, but as of right now, the game is extremely enjoyable just running through all the dungeons and struggling with world tier two bosses.
The reviews will be positive until the start of the first season where all that hard work building up your first main character gets thrown in the fkn trash and you have to start all over then. And then you have to do that every few months. GAG. Seasonal content IS story content monetized because they will let the fomo wreck your mental health. GL to you all.
4-6 weeks is about a month and a half which is pretty avg for season retention for people give or take a couple weeks depending on the strength of the season itself.
I think this world is just the first version, the sanctuary is about 3 times as big as what we get on launch. Sounds sometimes that people doesn't realize that mount that drop aren't realy mounts, they're just mount skins.
Reviewers don't tend to be overly negative about pre-release games because either the game is different from release or they'll get blacklisted if they don't recommend the game. It's not about being a "shill" or not, reviewers only want people to consume their content and make money from that. No game review because blacklisted means no content for the reviewer. Simple.
So many reviewers saying endgame isn't at all challenging. Sounds pretty boring. At least GRs in D3 took some skill (other than excessive fishing). I've played every previous Diablo, but not touching this shit. OW2, WC3 Reforged, Diablo Immortal, all have been awful. Calling it now this is gonna flop HARD. Streamers will play it for a few days-weeks (likely sponsored) and drop it once they hit endgame.
Blizz has perfected SELLING the games, but they forgot how to MAKE the games - the cinematic trailer for any blizzard has been absolutely amazing since the beginning
The chase is better than the catch. And this is one of the reason why I didnt buy Diablo 4. I am not interested into gearing my character by no lifing in 2-3 weeks time, im more interested in no lifing to find creme de la creme like in Diablo 2. I want to enjoy the journey of slow leveling and taking my time with it. I dont want to see rain of uniques or legendaries, i am perfectly fine with ocassional rnd dopamine shots like in D2 when Ber rune drops or even lesser ones. Something that rewards me for my countless grind.
100% on the scaling. Higher level weapons feel like lower level weapons at a lot of points for no reason. Makes the character feel slow and not powerful
These are Nightmare Dungeons and they have already been announced and will be at the start of the season. But do not forget that there is also a 4th level of difficulty - Hell. I dare to suggest that the main killer feature of the 2nd season will be the introduction of the Hell Dungeons, access to which will be opened only to those who have passed 100 ND in solo. Also the open world is huge, but it's only 1/4 of the Sanctuary. With a new patch, season or addon, along with a new hero, 100% will introduce new locations, a new region, ideally like 2 current regions.
I think a lot of people just don't want to give Blizzard any money after the shit they pulled on Classic WoW, Overwatch 2 and Diablo Immortal, even if Diablo 4 is a decent game. I can understand the "I play the game 1 month, get my money's worth and move on before they ruin it with microtransactions" though.
Why does nightmare dungeons remind me of mythic + and torghast. Cinder farming reminds me of elemental overflow farming. I feel like diablo 4 is just a WoW reskin!
so now that the game is out, it really did not deserve all the hype in my opinion. although some will say '' well its live service , so obviously it wont have much content on release'' , this is really bare bones for a game of this type. very few items to chase come late game and you feel like you have seen everything around level 60-70 , and by the time you hit 70-75 , all you do is chase down the exact same gear you already have , just higher item power. currently there is also not that much build diversity per class, and some are almost forced to use certain skills depending on if you are playing HC or not. Don't even see D4 becoming a worthy game in its genre before maybe after 1-2 years of added content and ironing out bugs / faulty systems (resist stat cant possibly be working as intended f.ex)
yes you can group capstones which defeats the whole purpose of them. I guess blizzard will change that at some point though cause its jsut stupid. Also the second one needs to be either harder or getting item lvl 700ish gear in wt3 needs to be harder. Ppl rush through wt3 currently. Clearing second capstone at lvl 55-60 instead of 70ish.
I've been doing this and I love it. I refused a carry through the capstone I haven't looked up any builds for my character and I haven't used the interactive Map. I want diablo to but fun as long as possible
It's my first Diablo and I'm lvl 62 in 3 days world 2 is what I started on I'm addicted and in world 3. But there also wasn't shit to play when it dropped so who knows. Still grinding tho. Def start world 3 veteran stomp out campaign then put it on world 3 to do side quests and all that because more exp in world 3
I just dont get why everyone is saying the world is so massive, seems small to me. Even though we played only a part of it in beta, it was fully discovered in no time.
I hope Diablo 4 is the greatest, most viral, must play game ever because I own company stock. I personally won't be buying it though, repetitive loot farming isn't my cup of tea.
Been playing for a few days by now, level 48 rogue. All I can say is that I’ve had so, so much fun doing the content so far, and seeing the content left ahead I’m really happy to see the content that’s to come

@@GhostMan407 bro I'll spend 10$ on a skin but not 30 because I'm not spending the amount a full fucking game costs for some fucking colorful pixels. Look at you shilling like corporate bootlicker. You got blizzards stocks or something?
D4 devs: So what about endgame?
Just make Greater rifts but call them Nightmare dungeons...
Amazing innovation...
While I agree diablo 4 looks really good, trying to condemn people for not trusting blizzard when they have just shit on the players trust time and time again over and over at every single step seems ridiculous to me.
Blizzard is like cheating or lying girlfriend , you can never trust becouse you know she can do it again even if she is now behaving perfect ;p
Hello, Humans
There nay be limited opportunities, but never limit your mind.
TERRANCE OUT
Played Diablo 3 and enjoyed it im no expert on Diablo but this looks like a good game and im looking forward to playing it .
Some insight for California businesses, they seem to be struggling although they say they are not
Companies like mine are pulling out of the major cities
because it costs too much rent.
We went from being the wealthiest place to being drowned by our own prices
The irony.....*sighs*
Blizzard must be feeling some of this heat
Hopefully D4 is a W for them
despite everybody hating them
always laugh at the end of the diablo 4 videos asmon spends like 7 minutes running defense for dear old blizz what a good guy
Because his stream is full of troglodytes and he’s gotta set them straight
bills cant be paid by good will alone
Found the hater
no matter how much I hate some of the systems in Lost Ark, D4 don't even come close to what it could of been if it just added more stuff from Lost Ark. Like combat and boss fights
Diablo 3.5 with shop/upraged graphics. i will wait 1-2weeks before even thinking buy it
Pro tip. The mount can be unlocked in the 3rd act/zone but you can skip the first two acts and jump to the 3rd immediately to get the mount. Source, another video from a reviewer
Does that actually skip story or can you just go back and do it as soon as you get the mount?
@@Skullgar no you can do the acts in any order also the mount quest is just a side quest.
Which zone is the Act III? I mean are they numbered in game or how do I know?
@@TheDispiteous in the quest journal the will be filled under which act they are from. The main quests for the act will show up will a number on the map symbol pertaining to which act it is.
@@atorothcassidy4866 legandary behaviour mate, thank you!
Etc, etc... Im kinda dissapointed.
my biggest questions were about the paragon board and this video got me extra hype now
I've never liked armor cosmetics, as soon as transmog hit WoW, they stopped trying to make the in-game armor sets look unique or good. Nothing made me want to raid more than seeing a warrior standing in Orgimar wearing T3 armor. I have zero care about someone's gear score.
When it's half price i may check it out, doesn't look worth 70 bucks at the moment..
Yeah might get it after first DLC, think the base game will be pretty hollow just like D3
Too much monetization for me. There are plenty of other games out there.
Sounds like a them problem tbh.imo in game cosmetics are better than the shop ones rn
I have most of the rogue skins but it’s more of a if you don’t want them don’t buy them if u want them buy them
Been watching Force since the starcraft 2 days, man what a ride
Remember the force fed days 😂
"I'm not gonna bore you with the basics" - proceeds to talk about the basics.
i watched force review it, now im reactin to asmon watchin forces review lmao
I don't think it looks interesting at all! Black desert and Genshin have raised my standard for action immensely, I guess.
Asmon's dumbass takes:
>You can't mistrust blizzard before the product is out!
The entirety of blizzard's history:
Just admit you're selling out.
Zizaran has said he’s doing world tier 1 because world tier 2 rewards are not worth the step up in difficulty
Exactly, mostly because WT2 doesn't effect main and side quest rewards so you end up getting the same amount of gold anyways... As for XP you are going to be more or less reach level 50 before you even touch all those hundreds of dungeons.
I totally agree on the character customization. It felt lazy, I know we gonna get armours and stuff but still lol.
Not if you don't pay for it, everything that's not paid in this game will most likely look like trash
I’m taking the campaign slow, not going to rush it I’ll only do the campaign once and after that I’ll cut scenes and speed run and worry about endgame but first time I’m clearing everything.
my biggest complaint is getting half way through a dungeon and the game loses connection, or a mission bugs out and I have to relog doing the mission all over again.
so POE is free but has an optional cosmetics shop, Blizzard - lets charge £60 for the game and have the POE model on top...
lol, huge open world multi-player arpg with mounts and mounted combat? Sacred 2 anyone?
Welcome Blizzard 15 years later.
"I'm sure I will eventually get burned out"... Gamepad really helps hey.
The reviews will be positive until the start of the first season where all that hard work building up your first main character gets thrown in the fkn trash and you have to start all over then. And then you have to do that every few months. GAG. Seasonal content IS story content monetized because they will let the fomo wreck your mental health. GL to you all.
Hmm, idk why the game doesn't look interesting enough for me. Probably because I'm just really into the games im currently playing.
10:50 They were called Balrogs in D1-D2-D3. It'd be weird if they weren't called Balrogs in D4.
Asmongold doesn't know shit about the Diablo franchise.
Because they have to be different for some reason
4-6 weeks is about a month and a half which is pretty avg for season retention for people give or take a couple weeks depending on the strength of the season itself.
Don’t forget a month and a half is about 42 days and 42 days is about 11.5% of a year
Thats normally the drop off of for most games unless your hardcore or do bot farms for equipment
Really hope they make the end game worth sticking around for
I'm so happy I got my refund
I think this world is just the first version, the sanctuary is about 3 times as big as what we get on launch.
Sounds sometimes that people doesn't realize that mount that drop aren't realy mounts, they're just mount skins.
Reviewers don't tend to be overly negative about pre-release games because either the game is different from release or they'll get blacklisted if they don't recommend the game. It's not about being a "shill" or not, reviewers only want people to consume their content and make money from that. No game review because blacklisted means no content for the reviewer. Simple.
Nightmare dungeons are just GR's you can't TP to, change my mind.
That's the safe option unless its done like tiny tina wonderland where you start it die and you lose everything
calling it now, ember packs will be sold on the store, aswell as generall resource boosters
Anyone here playing it on the steam deck? It looks like the controller configuration looks really good.
100% on the scaling. Higher level weapons feel like lower level weapons at a lot of points for no reason. Makes the character feel slow and not powerful
I’m definitely going to take my time and side quest it. Take it all in.
I mean destiny 2 all there new skins or even old skins are all 20$ also so don’t see why people would be mad at This it’s literally nothing new…
When he said “its time” my brains like Its time to D D D D D D DUELLL!!!!
someone needs to tell this dude what a review is good lord.
Glad Im not buying it. Looks worth skipping and Im shocked to say or feel that way.
Took me 3 days to finish the campaign. It was awesome.
I feel like im the only one who thinks Lost Ark was in a league of its own and im really worried Diablo is gonna flop in comparison
Why does nightmare dungeons remind me of mythic + and torghast. Cinder farming reminds me of elemental overflow farming. I feel like diablo 4 is just a WoW reskin!
path of exile 2 here i come.
DIABLO IS OLD and remains old in 2023
Knowing Zack doesn't fuck with RUclips. makes the titles fucking cringy when they put "I's and "Me's" Iuno, feels weird.
The nightmare, dungeon enemies go all the way to level 150
Re PVP..Great, who cares about that? Arpgs is not for PVP . As a grupy old git, played Diablo 1 at release=Im hyped
"Grumpy" 😃 blame it on my K-board..
31:16 thats the reason gaming industry became what it is
Can’t wait for D4, now if only 3 kids and wife will allow me to play
Leave
LOL what a loser
Leave
Leave
This is why god created child support.
so now that the game is out, it really did not deserve all the hype in my opinion.
although some will say '' well its live service , so obviously it wont have much content on release'' ,
this is really bare bones for a game of this type. very few items to chase come late game and you feel like you have seen everything around level 60-70 , and by the time you hit 70-75 , all you do is chase down the exact same gear you already have , just higher item power.
currently there is also not that much build diversity per class, and some are almost forced to use certain skills depending on if you are playing HC or not.
Just finished watching the original video, now im here, in case i missed something
This game looks so bad for 2024. This is worth money?
Yes and No,most skills are simply copied from other games, wtf
It's my first Diablo and I'm lvl 62 in 3 days world 2 is what I started on I'm addicted and in world 3. But there also wasn't shit to play when it dropped so who knows. Still grinding tho. Def start world 3 veteran stomp out campaign then put it on world 3 to do side quests and all that because more exp in world 3
ummmmm balrog is copyrighted under the tolkein estate last i knew.....that seems like a copyright lawsuit waiting to happen
I just dont get why everyone is saying the world is so massive, seems small to me. Even though we played only a part of it in beta, it was fully discovered in no time.
I hope Diablo 4 is the greatest, most viral, must play game ever because I own company stock. I personally won't be buying it though, repetitive loot farming isn't my cup of tea.
imho a 70$ game having microtransactions should be banned
W title straight to the point 😂
Been playing for a few days by now, level 48 rogue. All I can say is that I’ve had so, so much fun doing the content so far, and seeing the content left ahead I’m really happy to see the content that’s to come
9 days of grinding and they are included in the race. What a joke of a company
Damn I already watched this without Asmon but I see Asmon videos so I have to click.
in Australia the standard edition for us is $109.95
That's 71 American, seems in line
Literally could not care less about cosmetics. I don't even transmog. As long as it stays cosmetics they can charge whatever they want as far as I am concerned
the mount you get from the mainquest. Right at the start of Act 4 (giving a lvl is kind of dumb). On a second char you have it from the start when you unlocked it before. Even if you play the campaign again.
I like what you were saying about the people hating on a game (the I told you so effect). Also, seventy dollars is like what.....20 beers in the US? Less? How much value are you going to get out of 20 beers?
31:30 blizzdrone moment
Asmongold: if u cant afford 70 dollar game in a western world u prolly shouldnt be playing games.
Agreed. But its not equal. In canada the standard edition is 90 CAD! W/O gst/hst added! T_T So... it does feel brutal sometimes.
In dif 4 legendaries will be yealows, sacred will be legendaries, and uniqe will be uniqe after seson 1 they add sets for all classes than in the 2024/2025 we will hear abut first big expansion to the game for 75 us dolars.
And what about the lore? Guess D4 is not for me, grinding and looting to max a build is such a waste of time IMO
Lost Ark > d4 sadly the combat of LA ruined d4 for me.....refunded after the beta
What? Lost ark is not a good game. I have one character at 1500 gs and 2 character over 1450. Lost ark is extremely Pay to win garbage with absolute shit endgame
@@dillonwatkins1511 he talks about combat which is hard to compare imo since its two completely different style, but lost ark combat indeed looks and feels better then D4 but idk if its even fair to compare its like complaining gta driving isnt as good as forza.
The micro transactions aren't the problem, it's the price. Fortnite sells licensed skins for $15, I loved buying skins to support the games I love to play but it's gotten to expensive anymore to do so
for someone who has never played a Diablo game before, is Diablo IV a good game to start with? Or should I start with III first?
Its a good game to start then play the others to understand the full story
no way asmongold rizzes blizzard for free haha or maybe he got paid hehe
Asmond say mmo like features are good in diablo, also asmond fromsoft secret... Yeah i would love to have diablo just for single player but blizzard dont want to earn lot of money they want all the money.
And thats why fromsoft, CDP etc are soo good becasue their games are made for single player as experience not daily quest, or as I like to call it chores. Becasue evrybody likes to do boring repeatable stuff not specially crafted activities, places quest etc
