Congrats on finishing the no damage boss run
How did you find the overall combat?
You prefer the previous flash guard + flash move system or this new one?

The new one is much better. It's closer to Ys Seven with a bit more complexity to it. It doesn't give you tons of invincibility times so you actually have to pay attention to enemies' attacks, makes status ailments usable even on higher difficulties, less pointless skills despite having more of them, all skills have certain properties giving them more value that just damage/break, doesn't allow you to have a near infinite amount of healing items and many more small balance-related fixes.
The only problem I have is that the second half of the game isn't really balanced around high Revenge gauge and all the accessories and customization abilities player has access to. This is especially apparent in boss fights, as most rarely last more than 2 minutes.

the hp balance is a bit more fair, no more bosses with trillion hp that can kill you in one slip of finger, though that's probably because healing items are one use for the entire game on nightmare and above. only replenishable recovery items are the lunchboxes but they regenerate instead of instant heal, and they cant revive
i recommend not using the damage up equipment
