Hi, great video again! I've commented before and I really appreciate how you showcase the boise river. I was wondering if you would be able to give me pointers on finding holes for trout. I have been mildly successful with your fan casting technique, but I am having trouble finding fish. I would really appreciate if you could show me some places in the area specifically, but I understand being a fisherman if you can't. I'm also open to communicating on different platforms.
Thanks for taking the time to respond! I've been trying a lot of different spots. Most notably the south (and north with less success) section of the boise river at eagle road, right under the star road bridge, boise river in eagle island (south) and riffles around park center road. I live in East meridian so most of my fishing is in and around eagle, although I have tried other areas.
Definitely fish in those areas for sure. I haven't spent a lot of time at the Star bridge or around Eagle Island but those other spots I've hit regularly. If you're seeing riffles, I'd look just downstream of them for a little bit deeper, slower moving water. I think around Eagle can be great I just don't fish it as much as it's further from me but some of my biggest fish come from that area.
Have you had success around Star? I was wondering if the water temp started to get warmer over there and the fish preferred further upstream more towards boise.
I had to give this a thumbs down...not because the video was bad, in fact it is really great content, but because you are in MY freaking spot my dude. (Kidding about the thumbs down)
Looks fun!
Great video!
"Oh, Matthew!" 😂
As a Matthew, I thought my mom had entered the video

From the treasure valley, Love the vids!
Appreciate that!
Where is your dry bag from? 😊shopping for one specifically for fishing the Boise River or others.
Glad you made it home safe Matt when do you start chasing ducks and geese?👍👍
I've been wanting to but have been so sick since returning from the Middle East. Hopefully soon though!

What part of the Boise do you typically fish? Let's start there and we'll narrow down some spots!
