@@trillkilla7777 That's revealed years later. Every since the first season, he was the new batman in the opinion of most 90s kids and young millenials.
I don’t like nightwing as Batman he should always be his own hero terry is the true Batman of the future I always felt it could’ve been more like a grandpa grandson relationship between Bruce and terry
I like both versions. I watched the uncensored version recently, and was wondering where the electrocution scene was. I guess I never watched the uncensored one when I was younger.
I found the electrocution scene somehow more chilling. Shooting a weapon is a split second decision, but pushing someone into a death trap takes more deliberation.
One of my favorite scenes is: "How did you know the voice in your head wasn't yours?" "The voice kept calling me Bruce... That's not how i call myself in my mind." "How do you call yourself then?" *Batglare at Terry* "Ah... Sure you would. (switches to batman's voice) But that's my name now..." "Tell that to my subconcious."
Vvs Diamondz I forget the specifics of the episode but a villain was trying to get Bruce to think he’s starting to be insane by adding “voices” he was hearing. So to Bruce for the “voice” to call him “Bruce”, he knew it was wrong because he always referred to himself as “Batman”, or something along those lines. Terry asks Bruce, “how do you know you’re not going insane?”. Bruce answers, “I don’t call myself Bruce”. Terry, understanding what Bruce meant, answers “that’s my name now!”, referring that he’s now Batman.
That was his personal salena kyle. I wish they would have explored that dynsmic a lot more. His gf in the show was non existant practically. Max did more with him than her. And he could have had an 'in' on the ctiminal underworld that he didn't have, with her help. She didn't truly want to be a villian it seemed. Her brother that dhe was trying to save on the other hand. It could've lead to some interesting tangents.

Arik Haydn Actually if they bring back original DC Animated Series, or create new ones inspired by the originals it could get a larger public not just kids, with Teen Titans Go they were aiming for the kids only which was a terrible idea despite the fact that it is funny we all want the original Teen Titans back.
On the "How Bruce met Ace"...Ace the bathound has been a recurring theme in Batman comics since the 1950's...however in context of the show, Bruce named the dog "Ace" in regards to the Royal Flush Gang member (a yong girl) who he comforted as she died in the Justice league cartoon (ironicaly the episode "Epilogue" was meant to be a finale for Batman Beyond)...also the gang member in the clip is dressed like "Paggliacchi" the clown Ceaser romero dressed up as in his first appearance on the 1960's batman tv show
I liked the scene where Bruce is helping Terry with his homework by having him recite the list of Presidents. "Reagan, Bush, Clinton, .... the boring one". If only.
Loved the topical sense of humor in that shot. The episode was scheduled to air well before the 2000 Presidential election. So the writers had fun poking the 4th wall there. Acknowledged Terry's world is 30+ years after the episode we were watching while making fun of not really knowing how post 2000 would actually be! 😎🇵🇷🇺🇸📽🗽🦂🤣
One of my favorite details in Batman Beyond is that whenever the need arises, Bruce doesn't don a batsuit, but instead, the Gray Ghost costume. That's such an awesome detail that you'd literally only understand if you watched that episode of BTAS
#5 is the edited version. In the unedited version, Tim shoots the Joker. Also, I'm still waiting for a Batman Beyond game set in the Arkham Universe...
the best moment Batman Beyond the animated series, in Justice League Unlimited, episode "Epilogue" the final episode this series, and closed the definitive story of Batman Beyond.
What I never understood about Batman Beyond is why Terry seems to be one of the only superheroes in the future. I mean, surely with how massive the Justice League roster eventually grew, there would still be that many heroes either still around or carrying on the legacies of those who weren't, right? Heck, the Joker threatened to destroy Neo-Gotham with a giant satellite weapon, and the Justice League of the future was nowhere to be seen!
There are more heroes. The comics that served as a continuation of the show showed that beyond the Justice League, characters like Static, Shazam, Mr. Miracle, Amethyst, Klarion, The Ray, and more are still active in the future. It's just a show that focused on Batman, so you only got Batman stories most of the time.
The justice league beyond comics explained much of it. The league seperated some decades after the Justice League series, and a little speculation but with the advancing technology there was lesser need for superheroes to save the day. There were still a female flash, Captain Marvel who had (somehow different personalities mixed), Doctor Fate, Martian Manhunter and Older Aquaman (both retired) and many others.
Great list as always, but if I had to choose best scenes from the show, than I'd for sure put those 2: 1) Final battle with Mr. Freeze - The episode about his return was amazing! The plot, the characters and atmospheric soundtrack. 2) Bruce comes to Terry's aid - In the episode in which Inque captures Terry we've received an astonishing scene in which Bruce dons a Batsuit, one last time. (The soundtrack was also amazing.)
Yeah, freeze's character from BB might be the best character in a comic book show after green goblin from spectacular spider-man. So sad that they did not give him a two parter, that episode really needed a two parter. BB would have been so much greater if they were allowed to do two and three parters like Justice league.
Just wanted to say I love the concept of Batman Beyond. The show was good as well, just in comics it mostly hasn't been done justice. EXCEPT for Batman Beyond 2.0, it continues more so from the show, its DCAU cannon, and it was written really well (want to know why nightwing and barb aren't together?). So happy they got rid of Tim Drake as Batman Beyond in recent comics, Terry deserves more to be in the DC Universe. And this year I had the pleasure of meeting Will Friedle, nice guy and signed my box set "I AM BATMAN!", was really geeking out. Also DC needs to make a BB movie, they can totally roll in that spiderman like money. Who is with me!
Come on, there isn't any good comics after BB 2.0, that new issue they talking about is just awful. I don't want to see a BB movie based on recent Brother Eye story or made by the people that did BvS and Suicide Squad. As much as I love Terry I would prefer him being dead for couple of decades just to not being completely ruined. P.S. Cover is lying, BB has new lenses which are even worse than the ones from the last year.
He just destroys the nano bots that have transformed Tim Drake's body and mind into the Joker, which was put on him (not in him, apparently) and stayed on for thirty years without anyone noticing... which is actually dumber than what you said, so let's go with your interpretation.
A little moment I loved was at the end of the episode that introduced Shriek. Terry asks Bruce how he knew the voices from Shriek's devices were not coming from him head. Bruce answered that the voices called him Bruce. In his head, he doesn't call himself Bruce. Terry is about to ask what his voices do call him when he realizes the truth. I love how it shows Bruce's obsession with the persona.
I really loved that battle between Terry and the Joker. One of the lines that Mark Hamill executed really well was " Your out of your league Mginess. I knew every trick the original Batman and Robin knew in their peak." I liked the line and the voice acting.
I don't understand why Warner Brothers hasn't done anything else with Batman Beyond No special animated films, no live action tv series, no continuation to the original series, no live action film Is that too much to ask WB
When Max finds out Terry's secret, forgot the name of the episode. Eyewitness- When Barb tries to arrest Terry for the murder of Mad Stan. First appearance of Spellbinder.
Batman Beyond was a great series. Although I wish that they had Dick Grayson in the series and they never explained as to what had happened to Harvey Dent. And with regards to this list there's 2 things that forgot, 1: the return of Mr. Freeze in the episode called meltdown and 2: even though this episode was in JLU the episode epilogue where Terry finds out that Bruce is his dad.
You guys will probably never see this, but PLEASE consider bringing this back. This show was WAY ahead of its time and so well put together in literally every conceivable way.
Great List! Though I would’ve included Mr Freeze’s final scene in the episode Meltdown! His final exchange of dialogue gives me chills (no pun intended) every time! “You have to get out of here Freeze, the whole place is coming down!” “Believe me, you’re the only one who cares!”
WB, GIVE US MORE BATMAN BEYOND - animated series, films, games, comics, the rest of the soundtracks that never got released, all of it. And make it good.
One moment I expected to see on the list: Bruce in the Bat Exo-Armor vs. Inque. If nothing else, hearing the original Batman TAS theme play again as the suit activated was _glorious._
All these moments made me glad that I watched this show on The WB when it first premiered, as a 12 year-old. Batman Beyond is a resounding proof that the best part of my childhood still lives after many years later. I hope this show resurfaces again to provoke a similar result with today's kids.
As cool as it is to have Terry back....ehhh I kinda liked the idea of Tim Drake being Batman Beyond. It seemed like a good development, that the kid who would always say he'd never be Batman from the getgo, became Batman (albeit it was pre-new 52 Tim who said that, not New 52)
One of my personal favorites is when he’s fighting Bonk and Bonk has his hands around his throat and Terry mutters something, then Bonk says “what did you say?” And Terry goes “Flag pole.” Then Bonk proceeds to get clotheslined by said flag pole
Terry deciding to propose to Daina should really get a mention. That moment proved Terry was going to adjust to life as Batman in a way that Bruce never did.
It’s funny really, how it was this series-specifically Return of the Joker-that got me hooked on Batman in the first place. I loved how Batman Beyond, and other shows of its time, had an ambiguity towards its age appropriateness for viewers. Man I wish they still made this show, or at least shows like this at least. But that golden age of awesomeness is gone. We will miss you Batman Beyond the series 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Any episode with Stalker was awesome, but “The Last Resort” was my favorite. I honestly thought a Terry and Chelsea pairing would have made far more sense. “The Last Resort” would’ve been a perfect place to start with such an angle.
one of the bestest moments has to be when barbara comes to the batcave and says we all thought that we were not forced to become whatver we wanted first and terry says it was my choice to become batman
Return of the Joker is one of my favorite movies of all time, full stop. And the flashback sequence is genuinely downright TRANSCENDENT. It's EVERYTHING Batman should be. "So we BORROWED one." Absolutely chilling.
This show was such a hype for 1-2 years in my country! But since it stopped with 2 seasons, only 1 was season was voiced. Such a shame, I loved the concept, the story, the new point of view. It was a great hit.
Batman Beyond was a show way ahead of its time with its concept.

And now we get shows like Teen Titans Go -_-
PSYCHO wasn't really cancelled, they just decided to move on with justice league
Blballerboy Ohhh. BOOOOOOOO!!! Lol

The music in this show still slaps man!!
I think a scene from Terry working with Max would be on this list, she became his partner, and comforting him when he needs it, she's a confidante.
one of the bestest moments has to be when barbara comes to the batcave and says we all thought that we were not forced to become whatver we wanted first and terry says it was my choice to become batman
