I’ve been buying different headsets and adapters for the last two years and nothing would work and FINALLY I came across this video and it needed an update! I can’t believe I’ve never found that from all the videos and I websites I’ve been on! Thank you!
This solved my problem. Was playing a game the other day and my sound just completely stopped through my headset and I’ve went and bought new controller, new headset everything and nothing worked. And 2 mins in this video and one simple controller update fixed it all. Thanks!

@@RUclipscuts575 when you click the home button there should be an audio option on the bottom right, click that and then you can change your microphone settings

I was just playing with my friends and my controller randomly disconnected and when I turned it back on I had no audio or anything. I’ve unplugged and reset everything and still nothing. Everything on my headset still works too I just can’t hear anything.

I have surround to and when I take out my headset and plug it back in it says sub for a second and I can hear my friends but it goes back to surround and I can’t hear them
I have the solution: first you need to go to TV and display: Next click “video Fidelity and overscan” then you need to press “overrides and make sure it’s on hdmi then go back to resolution and make sure it’s on 1080 :) worked for me

Sorry but.. I am pretty sure its either your controller because some peoples controller is messed up. What I mean by messed up is the plug in for your headset might be messed up and needs to be cleaned. I hope it helped and btw I recommend getting a new controller or a new headset!
@@KOHADRII First I love your pfp :) and no I had to get a new controller, my audio jack was messed up. If your headset was working, you could hear and others could hear you, either the headset broke or your controller might not work. If the audio was messed up from the beginning it’s the controller

For those of you who are experiencing with having no audio on your Xbox one console,try unplugging the HDMI cord that's located on the back of your console,wait for a couple of seconds then plug it by back in before turning it back on. P.S: you're welcome.

Thank you so much I bought a new headset recently and it was working just fine. All of a sudden it stopped, I had thought it was a problem with the controller or my headset, I tested it on my pc and it was working fine. I used my old headset and it was working as well.I just updated my controller and now my headset works again!
