That is far too much sugar!! Sugar increases aging - at most one spoon is needed. Even better is to use only honey and cinnamon (that too less quantity).

hey bhavna i dont think that this sheera (sweet rava), what you have made is we call it in south as sweet uppittu, for the actual sheera we 3:1 of water and milk, yellow color, pineapple as well as rose water etc cook the rava or soji in ghee and add water and let it cook, after that add milk and immediately add sugar, rose water , and dry fruits,pineapple pieces and care should take that sheera should not dry like your dry sheera

Rava is done when it changes the color slightly. The pan is stone coated

why didn't you add the sugar to the milk before you heat it?
Sugar is always added once all other ingredients are cooked. Once sugar is added, it stops cooking other added ingredients.
