Agreed! I listened to this the first couple of times on my phone speaker (Samsung S21) and thought it was good, but listening on headphones? Phenomenal. There's so much more depth to the song than I thought.

all music exceed phone speakers as does most bluetooth speakers. if you are shopping for either headphones or bluetooth speakers the frequency range they can pick up make a big difference, also the device playing the music as well. no use spending big money on headphones that go low as 24hz when the phone you use only outputs 56hz for example.

I don't remember it too well, but my mom has told me and I remember bits and pieces of when I was 3 or 4 years old, my brother was 2 or 3, her ex-husband took us out into the woods on a "hunting trip". He separated from us, pretended to get lost, and then started hunting us. He told us if we got back to the truck, we would live. He was a very dangerous man, I could list a lot of other horrible things he did to me, my brother and mom, but those would be off-topic. My mom was married to him for 3 years. She'd try to run away but he'd always find us, even states away. This story really hits home, and so does the video.

As someone who lost a loved one to murder (gun violence), being exposed to anything true crime related, often re-traumatized the shit out of me. Your music may have changed that for me. It has certainly healed my soul, and has allowed me to begging to process my long-buried trauma.

As someone who grew up in the area this occurred (Anchorage & the Matanuska Valley) in the 80's and enthralled by true crime stories and SKYND's ability to capture and retell the story visually and in such a visceral way in music, I am shocked that more people still don't know her. I was obsessed with Butcher Baker-Robert Hansen years before the movie and at one point owned a true crime novel about him. Brilliant work. I would love to see her do a song on Israel Keyes too! Never disappoints 10 out of 10!

I love the detail of how the dough is made as the story develops and I suppose that when it is completely done it means that I already shot the girl and he enjoys "eating the bread" is a masterpiece!

His nickname was The Butcher Baker. His process of picking up prostitutes, removing their shoes at gunpoint, taking them to his island, and finally beginning to hunt them, ending with him killing them. This whole process is represented visually as the dough cooking until it’s bread and he gets to savor his first bite into it at the end of the process.
As much as i love the true crime music videos, i'd love to see a movie about Skynd and Father, like some supernatural entities that observe the darkest part of human nature.
Edit: I love how the song starts with that trap kind of beat and as it progresses it sounds like Father completely takes over as it becomes heavier.

Being hunted is one thing, the other is that it's a secluded area, and rather big. The chances of getting out are next to none. Also imagine your last thoughts. Imagine the last bit of adrenaline pumping, as more time passes, you know that it's over and you won't make it. And then you getting killed by an freaking incel, also you being a sw making you an easier target in the first place.

For me her best work yet and that's saying a lot, had this song on repeat at work and it kept me cranking, top notch. I like the fact that she doesn't pump out a ton of stuff, but rather fewer QUALITY songs and videos.
SKYND the perfectionist strikes again, much to all of ours benefit! And she's the nicest in person too. I hear a lot of people are nervous to get her autograph and talk to her at the concerts, but she really couldn't be more nice to the fans. Very patient and helpful and happy to make conversation.
She would even ask victums family permission before writing songs. She is indeed kind.

I know so many people like who are all obsessed with Dahmer or Bundy, but Robert Hansen is genuinely fascinating to me. I feel so deeply for his victims, known and unknown, and the terror and hopelessness they felt getting on to his plane, having no idea what he’d planned for them. He’s psychologically fascinating; my wife even included a deep study of his brain illness during one of her Ph.D.’s , which is probably why I became so fascinated. It’s a bummer I can’t introduce y’all’s music to her (Deaf) but I’m definitely going to show her the video as an art piece. Brilliant, as ever!

It was said that he had a stutter, so I LOVE the way the lyrics are sung- choppy and almost ragae-like? in the delivery in order to convey that affect. I'm originally from Eagle River which is part of the Anchorage metro area and I can't believe that I didn't know about this dude until today! I suppose this song would be dear to me by this association

Hi! I got my chance to watch music video from your song. Wow! First off, the song is impressive. This is definitely a song that gives me Goosebumps in a G O O D way! Good instrumentals & vocals with mixes combined with sound effects! As for music video, Wow! This is such a surprise! What good performances from these unanimous casts. They sure did a good job with their performances, including SKYND! Camera movements are great, good edits in each video shots, and well done with lighting too. The bokeh (or something else) on the intro of S K Y N D & outro are pretty nice to me. The whole crew deserved round of applauses for their hard work making music video with you! A respectful but scary way to tell the story and to make sure no victim is forgotten. Great video that slowly develops, great way to show Father later in the video, just as a black haunting figure.

Не знал, что в репертуаре SKYND может появится этот каннибал, по мотивам истории которого я хотел снять фантастический фильм ужасов, но так и не закончил работу над сценарием. Уж слишком омерзительная для меня была эта история. Да и бюджет фильма получался внушительным для российского кино того времени. А было это лет 20 назад.

Robert Christian Hansen (February 15, 1939 - August 21, 2014), known in the media as the Butcher Baker, was an American serial killer. Between 1971 and 1983, Hansen abducted, raped, and murdered at least seventeen women in and around Anchorage, Alaska; he hunted many of them down in the wilderness with a Ruger Mini-14 and a knife. He was arrested and convicted in 1983 and was sentenced to 461 years without the possibility of parole.[2][3] He died in 2014 of natural causes due to lingering health conditions at age 75.
