The Raid Redemption, Raid 2 such awesome action movies along with The Night Comes For Us. Watch them from time to time and never get bored of these. Really amazing fight scenes
Caught the replay, good stuff guys! 78pts dioramas are insane. Bobby looking forward to seeing ya in June at DFW! Ryan looking for to seeing you as well!
There was a great hallway scen in Underworld (vampires vs. werewolves) Werewolves were running down the hallway on the walls! They smashed their hands through the walls to hold themselves up by the support beams in the walls!
I wish y’all had interest in Mark Silvestri’s Cyber Force…… I feel like I was the only one that loved that line….. then I heard y’all mention his name. A guy can hope 😊😅
Silvestri is still producing some stunning work. His recent Batman series had a great set up with even better art. Unfortunately he could have used another writer to ‘land’ the series.
Who knew LaserPants had such violent tendencies? He wants flame affects to cover the whole body of a figure. That would actually be a nice addition for the Human Torch from Fantastic Four.
@@3POAPodcastYeah.. they said he asked if he could and they said "Sure" which maybe shows Hasbro loosening their belts a bit, which in that sense could be good.
Great show Thxs. Re: packaging. As a collector I find it very important. Aside from action figures I also collect vehicles. The packaging from Matchbox for the moving parts line is horrendous. Half of it is exposed and the other half is covered by the packaging with the back half of the vehicle printed on it. Same thing with Transformers some packaging is top half exposed for people to take the head off of them etc. The packaging is what kept me from buying these. You can never go wrong with card backs.
Bobby needs to put a poll on valaverse socials and the site! Should valaverse do Danger Girl, or invincible? (Or BOTH!) I would love to see bobby do figures for some independent comics from the 2000s era!
I looked at both Classified Cobra EEL’s. They have the same accessories, except the retro will come with the infamous stand. The harpoon lanyard is Red on the first release and blue on the second. If the night cycle and figure is $54.97 at Walmart Con’s pre order. That Ferret should be the same amount, but that’s in a perfect world. Two extra wheels, Hasbro probably will charge $75.
Didn't Todd McFarlane pay $3 Million for a baseball? That baseball soon lost its value after someone else broke a record with another baseball. Maybe McFarlane learned a lesson from that and avoids "lavish" things now.
Good show lads, Bobby on point as usual. Speaking of Retaliation I'm curious why the Joe team won't do figures from Rise Of Cobra and Retaliation. People like me would buy them and they would pair well with the MCU figures. The teeth on the Dreadnok Nawghahide is based on someone who works in Hasbro which was a really weird thing that Lenny mentioned during the stream. Nawghahide reminded me of Kraven The Hunter and I spotted yhe pins straight away, it's bizarre they're still using them as you guys said YEARS in. The night landing with an eel would have made sense but they wanted thw Ferret to push yet another unwanted female figure that I'm sure was at the behest of Emily. It would have been cool to get some new cool extreme sports Cobra member instead of another generic woman soldier.
If the Hasbro’s are charging $30 per figure and putting these lines towards kids, I don’t think those parents are going to pay $30 a pop for any of these lines. So, back into the lost revenue boat they go. These same parents are going to wait for those clearances, Ollie’s, and Ross.
Actually, the Hasbro GI Joe team did say the soft plastic was for child safety in an interview on Full Force (a 'tube channel). That interview was a two or three part video series about 4 or 5 months ago. The "child safety" excuse is not a legitimate reason for the soft plastic.
The Extreme Studios figures by LooseCollector look alright. If they lowered the price by at least $15 ($25 would be better) they could sell a lot more. The wild designs are fun.
Hasbro: "No one could get the Cobra Eels they wanted, lets cut back production 50%" I personally don't even want retro carded troop builders, cause they don't match the ones I already have. And yup, tired of the old reused pinned Joe parts, wart hog has a lot of pins too.
Love the show, and thanks for just saying what everyone else sees at toy shows. Saw an interview of Todd trying to argue the benefit of his figures in NFT form-Bc…it’s the future and some how possibly-Should carry the same emotional impact as a photo on your mobile of a loved one. 🙄 add on his Tacky High on himself 2-pack. Always be wary of meeting your hero’s. Back in 2006 I was w/ friends at Wondercon in SF, we’re on the ground floor walking around an my buddy runs into Frank Miller who is just walking around, a Frank is in all black, Jean, shirt, open long sleeve button shirt, black fedora, and Matt says hi-Introduces himself and just tells him what his art made growing up bearable and if he could autograph his forearm so he could get it tattooed, an Frank looks at him and goes “sure, you got $100?” The tone of it was pretty shitty. My buddy was literally at a loss for words and a before he could say anything, Frank said he had to be somewhere an walked off to another vendor.
I find the price way too high, but those Liefeld figs are actually not all that bad looking. Also, have you looked at Liefeld's art and characters. Exaggeration is key here. It's so extreme and bad that it actually becomes kind' a good and has it's own charm. So, don't go looking for realism and realistic proportions here. Same for the ridiculous looking guns and gazillion number of pouches. It's the 90's, man... also Brigade, Bloodstrike, Prophet, Chapel... I can't believe you guys have never heard of these. Yeah, it was mostly bad and over the top (in a bad way), but these are my adolescence memories. And let's face it, even with all that, those comics were 10 times better than most comics on the stands these days. :s I agree with Bobby. I also remember when comic artists would do sketches for free. 20-30 years ago people like Jim Lee, J.S. Campbell, (the late great) George Pérez, Joe Jusko... would come over here to Europe and do sketches for free. Then I slowly saw that changing. First they made you buy merchandise, like a print or special edition comic or something, which I didn't mind all too much, then they started charging like 30-40 bucks for a decent sketch, then 50 bucks for a doodle and now most of them are only interested in doing commissions for like 300 to 500 bucks and more. Some of them will indeed even charge you for signing your comics, you know those same comics you purchased and which made them a living in the first place. I saw the same happening with actors. They used to ask like $30-35. These days 100-150 bucks is no exception. I met Robert Englund like 10 years ago and paid $35 for signing my Freddy box. Last year he came to a convention and asked $150 for a signature. Simply ridiculous. But people don't seem to mind when you look at the lines... and at the same time they are complaining about inflation and food prices? PS: That Cobra Eel has the same number and type of accessories as far I remember. Nothing changed. PPS: I like the female FERRET driver, but that's me. That doesn't mean I would have minded the Night Landing set. :) PPPS (last one, I promise): I would expect Bobby to know the original Flight Pod came with the Tele-Viper on the box art. It may not make sense from a military perspective, but as a tribute to the original, it definitely made sense... whether that's a good decision or not, is a different matter. BTW, they did exactly the same in the 25th Anniversary version (which came together with the RAM Cycle). ;) Also, is my memory that bad, but they already made a TF Duke, no? They have made several already. So, these two are definitely not leading the pack. Doesn't mean I'm a big fan of repaints as such, but that's been part of the GI Joe line as far as I can remember. Oh, and I guess sooner or later we'll get the Toys R Us TF Jinx... and probably TF Dial Tone as well. :) Oh... and Raptor & Crystal Ball 2-Pack. :D Campbell, Madureira... with all due respect to their skills, but these guys are quite lazy if you ask me. Campbell does not do much more than a couple of exclusive (and f*cking) expensive covers these days. Madureira finally decided to continue his Battle Chasers after 20 f*cking years. Better late than never I guess. Not that he even bothered doing the art. These guys don't really deserve our respect.

Hasbro WANTS people to give up on 6 inch action figures. Hasbro is tricking people into going to 4 inch scale action figures that are slightly cheaper (still WAY overpriced). Hasbro is gambling that their costs will be WAY lower with smaller figures and smaller packaging, but the price will only be a few dollars less than 6 inch figure prices.
