Good quick tip. I'll be using this!
Thanks!! :)
Thanks Andy. I'm changing my inline 6 3 speed manual 1969 mustang to a V8 with a C4. Interestingly, my original driveshaft fit the 8 inch diff I upgraded to. I also found my original driveshaft fit into the C4. The autoparts store suggested I remove the u-joints and bring them in to match them so I can be sure
That's probably not a bad idea. :)
Everyone in the hobby needs a digital micrometer to accurately measure what they have. This little tool is indispensable
Good basics
Sometimes it's the simple stuff that helps navigate through this hobby. :)
Nice information
Thanks
Thank you! :)
Andy over here spending money just to educate us! Great breakdown.
Sacrifices were made...... :)
I have a mustang with a 8" rear end and a drive shaft out of a 94 mustang nobody can seem to figure out what u-joint I need if anybody can help me I would appreciate it. I've tried asking parts stores and taking measurements, still can't seem to find it.
Just measure it and select the u-joint that fit the dimension of your driveline and third member. :)
