Hawkwind is one of my favorite bands and I have been listening to rock/roll for over 58 years. Always like listening to my old albums/CDs.

What a good memory after all this wild years! Noone can say, pot, mushrooms & the softer sort of LSD (not STP) makes all of us hippies stupid and that we couldn't use our minds after consuming it. Of course... overdose parties can impact one negative. Mostly if it'll be done over & over. But he is the proof that ,if taken properly (and stopped at the point of getting aware when its over the limit) that it has a big creative & even a healing impact for many. Dave Brock is a smart nice & grounded character. Very cool hearing him remembering the Hawkwind History!
By the way....contact me if you also want to start a band doing Hawkwind sort of Space Rock Band. My old swiss bands broken up years ago...i miss to play some of the classic stuff. We fucked it up for many reasons. The talented ones left because of vanity, too less money, drugs and endless discussions about who is in charge. They should have been better taking me serious, for gods sake. I was the one with the creative input, the ideas...the lyrics. Was singing, playing often the bass & the synths. Who knows...maybe someone responds my call for taking off...!

Went from Status Quo, Slade, ELO, Deep, Pink, Black, Led 《 to 》 Hawkwind, Rush, Tangerine Dream, Mike Oldfield, Groundhogs, Vangelis, Gong virtually overnight. A Priest of all people influenced my shift in musical taste telling me: any 70s release on the U/A label is worth a listen...

@@o8thman812 I can beat that! New Seekers to Hawkwind and Gong ? Lol My parents and even my older cousin thought I had gone nuts! But when I saw those guys, I thought hang on...!!! Lol My cousin would not buy me any LPs, he bought me a Status Quo album for Christmas, with the message 'Not Vulture breath or Eagle Breeze or anyone like them, but you might like this band instead!' NOPE! But well done your priest.

Well.. When Dave Brock heard Hawkwinds 1976 album, Astounding Sounds Amazing Music on vinyl for the first time, he took the record off the record player, and frisbeed it out of the window.
Dave was not impressed with that album 😂
