- First impression of L'homme Ideal EDP from Guerlain. This is one of the best cherry accords that I have smelled to date. Because its supported by warm vanilla and a buttery almond, it brings together a very versatile yet niche quality fragrance for men.
The EDP and EDT haven't been discontinued, you can still buy them, but the bottle, sticker and cap have been changed
Alright. I got mine. To be honest, it took me a moment to appreciate its elegance as the first spray did come out a little feminine. After a moment, that fruity scent settles and it gets smokey dark cherry. It is definitely different than anything I've smelt before and I gotta say that it is growing on me. I'd say you'd have to he over 30 to appreciate this scent. It's not mainstream but it's delicious in it's own unique way. I would say try it before buying it because it's not that cheap. I'd say solid 8/10 for now because it's summer and this is a cold fall/winter fragrance. Perfect for Christmas! 🎅

I'm in my early 20s and I picked out this fragrance out of 5 other, pretty mainstream options. The cherry note kind of stuck with me the most, and the drydown has this masculine feel to it, so it's not overly sweet. Interesting how they compare this fragrance to a mature audience, the fragrance felt pretty youthful to me off the bat.
I just ordered mine and didn't realize that it shows the one with a black cap and so I panicked. But I see you have one and you seem to be happy with it. I Hope it works out.
Oh yes. Smoky cherries still gets compliments for me!

Such an on point review! Gorgeous and unique stuff for a price tag that beats most Dior, Chanel, V&R etc. Guerlain is NICHE. Fragrance is what they do and they blended this thing masterfully. And the best news is it’s not discontinued. They produce it for the European market just like Dior does with DHI/DHP. Just gotta keep your eyes peeled for it these days but it’s so worth it.

Just got my order in today, I blind bought this fragrance and it doesn’t disappoint it smells great. Imo tho it smells very similar to givenchy gentlemen boisee. If you have one out of those two I’d say you wouldn’t need the other bc they practically smell the same wish I would have knew that but I’m still happy with my purchase.

Interesting comment. I have both in my cart but just pulled the trigger on L'homme Ideal EDP as a blind buy. I smelled Boisee and it was amazing but I felt I can hold off on it because I have Dior Homme Eau (rare discontinued but great iris frag) and Prada L'homme which kind of give the same vibe. I hope my blind buy doesn't disappoint. I may still add Boisee to the collection in the future.

What ???? No no way my boise doesnt even came close to EDP l homme , Boise is peppery bright iris and Lhomme edp is dark sweet with smoke leather base ... What is going on ???

Great vid! Guerlain doesn’t actually say there’s any cherry notes in this fragrance (even though fragrantica says otherwise) because of some idiosyncrasies regarding the use of almond oil, which can be perceived as a cherry smell.
Thank you. Yeah it’s a cherry “accord” more than a “note” in the formulation. Comes off quite accurate too. Love it.

got full bottle with black cap batch 2022, 2 spray on my dry skin with 9-10 hour on my skin,awesome

EDP batch 2023 i spray 10 times and last no more than 1 - 2 hours , bought from Notino

@@jendysklement7632 I first bought extreme and I love it amazing and also good performance. Then I bought from the same store EDP and I was very surprised by the weak performance, mostly because most people say how powerful it was. So or I got bad bottle ,or new batches are very weak.

I have used the EDP only once three months ago. It was newly opened and I felt that it was a bit weak and didn't last very long, maybe 4-5 hours.
From my experience, performance usually gets much better after a certain time.
I will come back again next time after second use.
Right now it's winter in Sweden so it's been a lot of oud, incense and leather for me.
But I really liked the scent of Guerlian EDP.

Extreme is really good. I had it when it first came out and I think it’s worth having both. I plan to get another bottle soon

@@shadymaestro I would keep EDP and Extreme. To me the LIntwnse carried a bit of spice rhat I wasn’t fond of but it’s a personal thing

Yes I confirmed it’s the same Guerlain switched bottles and I also like the older one has more character
I actually have the old bottle wrapped in grey and ran low so I grabbed a new bottle and it’s the same.

I know that Guerlain Ideal EDP and Lamar are very different but I’m trying to decide which one to buy first. Which do you like best? Which do you wear more often?
Thank you! IMO Lhomme Ideal is a much easier wear so that normally falls into my signature scent category. Lamar has a nice punch which for me would cause nose fatigue if I wore it often. I get far more mileage and compliments from the Guerlain

I’m not sure about the reform, but yes you have to lay this one on. If 8 sprays doesn’t give you 5 hours then try 10+ until you get it. You can overspray this one and it just gets better

Which one you prefer L’Homme ideal edp or Terre D’Hermes.. which one should i buy
TDH edt is my signature scent so on me it’s more versatile and preferred to this one.
Should I pick this up or the L'intense ?, which is more balanced in terms of sweetness/freshness , I like smoky sweet mix
IMO the edp is sweeter and more casual as a result. The L’intense has a smoky spice to it with less sweetness so it leans a little more serious. Edp seems a touch fresher. I did a comparison video of the 2 if you want to check the updated review in my playlist.

Bought it from Notino and i am very sad , it doesnt last more than 1 hour it doesnt projects at all, its 2023 silver sticker black cap. The problem is that i bought Extreme from other store and it was Night and day difference , Extreme projects like craze and last 8 hours i have them side by side so confused. Notino sells fakes or bad quality ? or they just destroy EDP ?
It could be a few things, but nine initially was not a good performer but it has always lasted a few hours and gave me a descent projection. It’s a 2022 batch and now that same bottle performs even better. Extreme gets me similar performance along with Intense. It really depends on the wearer, climate and sprays before I would say it’s fake. Also you could go nose blind to it, I don’t for this fragrance.
@@KJWofficial both extreme ND EDP are same batch 2023 and same bottle, skin is the same weather exactly I spray on my one hand extreme and EDP on the other , and I get 8 hours and nice silage on extreme and honestly 1-2 hour max on EDP . I check videos for fake I speak to Guerlain giving serial number it's not fake. So the only way is if.ingot nose blind on EDP or it was just bad bottle.
@@Tripokaridos22 yes that’s possible. Keep it stored in darkness and away from moisture and heat for a while. See if that could help also. I have a new video update mine is kicking 8 hours strong now

That’s going to depend on how you define your performance. I’ve gotten complimented all the way to hour 6 with 10-12 sprays.

Has it been reformulated? Is it still good?
The original seemed to pack more of a smoky punch to me, but this one is so good still. Some say it doesn’t last but on my skin I’m getting great longevity and projection
