Kyreun to be fair, she only defeated him because he was injured by a bowcaster bolt that usually sent stormtroopers flying several feet and because he was holding back cause Snoke ordered him to bring her to him alive.
Kyreun You do if you’re not at 100% capacity. Try having a fist fight with someone who’s never been in a fist fight before, but right before the fight happens, someone kicks you in the nuts three times. See how you would fare.
@@gabrielarredondo3825 Those are fair arguments, but then it would have made sense for Finn to have won. Or at least perform far better than he did... I'd have expected a combat-trained stormtrooper to have the edge over an untrained brawler. Don't get me wrong, I actually love the fight between Kylo and Finn. It's a good character moment for Finn, and it finally shows what we'd heard for decades: that lightsabers aren't rare because they're magic, but because they're so hard to use effectively. I'm not wholly against Rey having won that fight, but they should have done more to show Kylo's weakness, so as not to neuter him as a threat going forward. It was clear he was still drawing power from his pain and his rage, but they'd had it so that he was swaying on his feet or show his strngth flagging on its own, that would have helped a lot. They way they did it undermined Kylo as a real threat, and made Rey too OP. Both were fixable in a sequel, though, which is why I didn't mind it much originally. But we didn't get that, so it recontextualizes it as a problem. Though I'm still with Mark Hamill, that would have been an excellent time for Luke Skywalker to show up, right after Finn went down.
I have a genuine love for all three trilogies, for different reasons each. I hope in a decade, people will come to terms with the sequels the same way they did with the prequels.
Sorry, but TLJ is garbo and essentially ruins the sequel trilogy. Its objectively poorly written and leaves any possible story line for the finale in shambles.

4:25 this moment define all that is star wars to me, star wars was always about mythology and the journey of the hero, bringing the goodness out in people, simple as that to me, the force being this inner power to channel and use for good, the passing from generation to generation, what it takes to be a good person as Luke showed when he redeemed vader, I may not like the sequels and what they did to everything, but I loved how star wars is a generational thing, movies being passed down and a huge legacy from one mans imagination, MAY the force be with us, and no matter how 9 turns out I hope it doesnt add more fuel to the fire and can just be a good final film to wrap things up, thats all I hope for

I wasn't expecting Han Solo's entrance to be my favorite part.
That Guitar rift that introduces Han gets me every time. PERFECTION!
Epic, emotional, nostalgic and even funny at some points. Perfect. It’s what Star Wars should be and is.
There is a word to describe this editing : MASTERPIECE
Topher better get a cameo in Episode IX after putting this masterpiece together! Masterful work!
I wish, but shooting was wrapped up several days ago :/
Spoiler alert: turns out Topher is the Force. He has a cameo in every movie.
Probably lucky not to get a cease and desist from the lawyers and Disney...
Brandon Mcleod Why would they? Yorkes and Grace made the compilation of videos and edited them together to make this. There are no copyright infringement laws in place that could justify that action. Not to mention they're not selling the video to anyone.
There's a lot of amazing cuts here, but my favorite by far is the match cutting between the Vader vs. Obi-Wan battle in ANH and Kylo vs. Luke in TLJ. Just brilliant!
There was a Kylo Ren vs Luke in Star Wars? When?
@@MoreAwsomeMetal Technically it's Kylo vs a Force Projection of Luke but I think we need not bicker on semantics.
My favourite one is "Great shot, kid!" said to Finn. Less epic but still effective.
TLJ gives me anxiety. I'm going to rock in a corner in the fetal position.
@@hplalakrs2001 What semantics? This was basially Kylo Ren beeing trolled by a bum located on a planet at millions of light year.
You consider this chatter and air waving on the same level as this : ruclips.net/video/9Uvad9uSc9k/видео.html ???
Can we as Star Wars fans enjoy this amazing masterpeice in 5 minutes this made me cry, smile, and more and it shows no matter which generation of star wars you grew up with Star Wars Will Always Be With You.
You guys made me fall in love with Star Wars again, and I wasn't even a huge hater of any of the movies, lol. Thank you for this. May the Force be with you. Always.
How beautiful would it be to have a 9 part highlight reel similar to this at the conclusion of the end credits of Ep IX
Outstanding guys! As a professional editor myself, I must say....timing of edits, shot selection, music selection, transitions....so well done! And yes, really loved the use of deleted scenes and even using the one off movies for deeper story telling and character enhancement. Bravo!!
This shit right here? This is why I love Star Wars.
Sometimes I want to watch a Star Wars movie but I don’t know which one, so I come back to watch this. It scratches all the itches.
Rey lifting the rocks with the Force.
Obi-Wan: "You cannot escape your destiny."
Literal Chills!....
George Lucas: “The Force is a perception of the reality that exists around us. You have to come to learn it. It’s not something you just get. It takes many, many years…Anyone who studied and worked hard could learn it. But you would have to do it on your own.”
Rey: Masters the force in half a week.
Moron. That's the dope.
literal cringe!....
@@hanspanzer I cringed at that edit. Are you referring to Rey, or the OP comment?
@@vashusan1984 I am referring to Rey. Worst SW main character ever.
“No, there is another.”
*cuts to Rey*
oOoOoOo
orangeapples yeah I kinda got really hyped for Rey at that moment
🤮
Yeah that part ruined what was a perfectly good video 4 minutes before
Kevan Vittet it didn’t ruin it at all
Just cause you don’t like the movies doesn’t mean it can’t be something other people can’t enjoy
KP-legacy-54 precisely, I’m speaking for myself and from my interpretation of the saga as a whole. Some people will agree, some won’t
"It's hopeless! Only Dave Filoni can bring together the Star Wars fanbase!"
"No...there is another..."
*LOU'S CAFE*
It's Topher Grace the one that made it.
@@andreiefectivuatafac1966 Topher Grace? I feel like i’ve heard that name before.... OH YEAH! THE GUY WHO PLAYED VENOM
@@traktor420 He played Venom in the worst Sam Raimi spider-man movie, he played a racist in Blackkklansman and a nerd in That 70's show.

Still my favourite Star Wars video of all time
The last 40 seconds is the best part keep rewatching it
Well, colour me speechless: headed to the comments, fully expecting it to be full of TLJ haters, dumping on the new movies... and yet the applause seems to be pretty much unanimous. And rightfully so, it’s a stunning piece of work, summing up all the power, the majesty, the fun and the action of the entire series. Well done, you crazy kids, well bloody done.
The Last Jedi is amazing.
There are still some of them here but it seems that finally the Last Jedi haters are over it.
@@kevindoris4241 Dude, I'm not over Phantom Menace yet. :)
@Daniel Michael haha. That's fair, it's really good and full of love. I'm just old and bitter!
Last Jedi is my 3rd favorite SW film only behind Empire Strikes Back and Rogue One, the people with the negative views often make the loudest noise.
This is beautiful and amazing and I could watch it all day. This shows the unity of Star Wars in its entirety, every trilogy, even spinoffs. This is the way it’s meant to be appreciated.
I love them. I love them all. They're great, every single one of them. And not just the OT, but the prequels and the sequels, too.
Criminally underrated comment.
I agree
This comment is epic
Say what you like about about how Star Wars has gone off the rails, this is made with affection, care and love and reminds us why it is the greatest franchise of them all. Great work, guys, I was moved
@MaybeNextTime Dear God, there is always one.
The Might One and there’s always three more who have not let hate blind us.
I love this saga, and not just the original 6, but everything after too.
The Nerd Dojo Same here man.
Not just the original trilogy but the prequels and sequels too.

Anonymous Human9999 :)
Did you like the rise of Skywalker
Ryan Barth I liked parts of it. Overall was disappointed by it, but I still love the franchise.
Han looking back at Finn "Great shot kid!" Nice.
Fantastic! But you should have included at least one line of dialogue from Darth Vader as voiced by James Earl Jones.
"If you only knew the power of the Dark Side!"
Thank you for this, it is the best 5:08 ever spent on youtube. Congrats and Accolades for Jeff and Topher!!
The ending of the video always gives me goosebumps, damn I love Star Wars.
What a beautifully put together tribute to every corner of the Skywalker saga; I actually found myself tearing up towards the end there!
I was eleven when I was first in line on May 25th, 1977 and saw Star Wars for the first time of many many times. Thank you, Topher and Jeff. This was actually unexpectedly beautiful. You made an old guy tear up.
Am I the only one who appreciated the :
“There is another”
nope hahaha
I felt a little sad for Leia, to be honest. I was hoping to see her get some awesome highlight reel.
1:20 That transition between Vader and Luke where they mirror the same dark glare!
Thank you Eric Forman your love for Star Wars perseveres 40 years later
"I'm a Jedi, like my father before me."
*it's enough to make a grown man cry*
I have a genuine love for all three trilogies, for different reasons each. I hope in a decade, people will come to terms with the sequels the same way they did with the prequels.
Have me a lump in my throat!! So well put together!! I want to go watch all of them right now!! BRILLIANT
I really just love Star Wars. The originals, prequels and sequels. I just love it all.
Salacious B. Crumb omg yes and thank you! It’s so nice to hear equal love all around for all these films. And hell yeah, that fan trailer was awesome!
Yes! Just inject it into my veins!
Sorry, but TLJ is garbo and essentially ruins the sequel trilogy. Its objectively poorly written and leaves any possible story line for the finale in shambles.
I wasn't thrilled with it or Solo either, but let's see what follows. Next installment hits Dec. 20, which is ten months minus a week from tomorrow.
We need more positivity in the Star Wars fandom like you are providing us with with your comment. Not to mention, this video does that as well.
THANK YOU TOPHER GRACE! I loved your character on 70's Show, because I was him! Now you have come full circle and completed your journey, bringing us the ULTIMATE Star Wars trailer! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!
Thank you Topher Grace AMA for bringing me to this beauty ❤️
The greatest story... EVER... told.
I've always felt that Han Solo is the soul of Star Wars and this has convinced me even more.
I couldn't help but awkwardly smile through the entire video, both inside and out! I'm in pure awe of how this edit can portray the incomparable franchise of Star Wars. Tieing the entire trilogy together in only five minutes. I love Star Wars forever.
That last part was stunningly edited
Oh my god, you made me cry. I saw Ep.4 when I was 10 years old in the movie theater with my dad, and I've seen EVERY film since then with him. Thank you so much
Fantastic! Great use of music at the end, loved the deleted scenes scattered throughout.
Do you know the name of the song at the end? I can't recall what it is
@@Epic4reelzgaming It's one of 4 VERY similar recordings, I think: the end of the finale/end credits from ESB, ROTJ, or ROTS, or the end of ANH's Throne Room/Finale specifically from 1990's "John Williams Conducts John Williams: The Star Wars Trilogy."
@@toonimator thank you so much! I think it was the Rotj version.

Regardless of which Star Wars movies we personally like or dislike, I think unanimously we can say that this is an amazing video and I hope it can unite all the fans. Remember, at the end of the day, we all can say we love Star Wars.
It's definitely not going to unite the fans
4:25 this moment define all that is star wars to me, star wars was always about mythology and the journey of the hero, bringing the goodness out in people, simple as that to me, the force being this inner power to channel and use for good, the passing from generation to generation, what it takes to be a good person as Luke showed when he redeemed vader, I may not like the sequels and what they did to everything, but I loved how star wars is a generational thing, movies being passed down and a huge legacy from one mans imagination, MAY the force be with us, and no matter how 9 turns out I hope it doesnt add more fuel to the fire and can just be a good final film to wrap things up, thats all I hope for
The Prequels are what got me into Star Wars!
Lobo Nox1313 SAME
I'm so exited to see people saying the same thing for the sequels in 10 years
