South African here but I don't think anyone on our continent will come at you 😆 might share the correct way, but will do so respectfully. It is food. It is vegan. What's not to like? Thank you for sharing and promoting Veganuary 💚

Hi Adelina and Sophie! I hope you are both enjoying the new year so far. You had my interest at 'peanut,' I'm obsessed with them! Every Christmas, I make my own version of Reese's peanut butter cups, based on a Nigella Lawson recipe. They are very moreish. Please share more peanut recipes! Enjoy the rest of the week. Best wishes from England. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿x

I made a peanut stew one time, and don’t recall being crazy about it, as much as I like peanut butter and sweet potatoes. That said, yours looks delicious, and I’m going to give it a try. 😊

I finally made this today and it is really good! I didn't have a green pepper, so I cut up several baby carrots and cooked them along with the onions. I mashed 3/4 of the sweet potato with a potato masher after they were cooked, and finally added a package of frozen spinich at the end. Served it over brown rice. Really delicious!! Thanks!

A: Took me awhile but I finally got to this one. How scrumptious and creamy can one stew/soup be? I had to make myself stop after two bowls. You were so right. It was all ingredients that I had on hand. Subbed in a bag of frozen chunks of sweet potato. Loved the fact it was so fast, so easy and best of all HEALTHY..HEALTHY..HEALTHY!

You could always say it's "inspired by" African Peanut Stew, LOL. It may not be authentic, but it IS delicious! I added garbanzo beans to mine as well as the kale I had on hand, and it is really satisfying. Thanks and a belated Happy New Year to you!

  • @marirose19

So it’s not 100% authentic, it looks delicious anyway!! I’m just sorry it doesn’t freeze well bc I’d have my caregiver make up batches of this (yes w/real peanut butter) to freeze like she does w/your delicious lentil stew recipe.
BTW, I’m still feeling so good about the heartwarming & interesting interview Keaton did w/you on New Year’s Eve. When he asked you how did you do it all after listing what you did while you raised him & Jaime, it reminded me of my 2nd adult daughter who’s given me two smart, funny, & wise grandchildren (figuratively of course).
She’s asked me multiple times, “Mum, how did you do it all?” I always tell her what you said to Keaton. When you’re a mother, you just do it.
I have strongly recommended to both my adult daughters to remember to do their self-care bc that was the part I didn’t allow time for, & that impacted my well-being negatively.
They’ve both done a great job balancing being of service & maintaining their own self-care, which makes me quite happy.
Love you so much! Looking forward to your upcoming content. All the Best in 2023!!💙🌟🌀🥳

@@myBIGtinyhouselife Thank you, Adelina. We faced many challenges together that might help someone if I described here, but I don’t have it in me.
I will say this though. I tandem nursed aka breastfed both my children at same time; I really think that has everything to do w/their bond to this day, even though they each have faced their own unique challenges upon moving out on their own.
When they were nursing they’d lie on either side of me on our good old water bed we all miss. They’d hold hands across my belly & gently stroke each other’s hair. Those were the best days of my life. Got to lie down & rest during those heartwarming moments too-a bonus for me.
We’d usually all fall asleep like that at nap time & overnight sometimes. It was incredibly dear & a time I’ll never forget as their Mum.💙🌟🌀🤗

Adeline on one of your videos you were baking and you said to turn the oven back because propane heats hotter than natural gas. I just switched over to propane and the oven is always to hot. Can you shed some light on what you think I should do to get a better result? Thanks

    • @myBIGtinyhouselife

Hi. I'be bought an oven thermometer and adjust my setting so that I get the right temp. What I mean is that to get 350 I have to set the oven to 320. I'm going to call the company that hooked me up to ask them if they can throttle back the volume a bit to see if that works but I wouldn't try to do that myself.
