South African here but I don't think anyone on our continent will come at you 😆 might share the correct way, but will do so respectfully. It is food. It is vegan. What's not to like? Thank you for sharing and promoting Veganuary 💚
I had an African friend (French speaking West Africa) who made peanut butter chicken for me one evening. It was awesome. This stew looks good. Thanks for sharing ❤️😊
Hi Adelina and Sophie! I hope you are both enjoying the new year so far. You had my interest at 'peanut,' I'm obsessed with them! Every Christmas, I make my own version of Reese's peanut butter cups, based on a Nigella Lawson recipe. They are very moreish. Please share more peanut recipes! Enjoy the rest of the week. Best wishes from England. 🏴x
I’ve been following you, Adelina for about a year or so. Started because of your Tiny Home Serendipity. I see a Tiny House in my future. I enjoy your channel so. Now I think I’ll try this Veganary you are talking about.
I made a peanut stew one time, and don’t recall being crazy about it, as much as I like peanut butter and sweet potatoes. That said, yours looks delicious, and I’m going to give it a try. 😊
Thank you Adelina for sharing this simple but very cozy looking dish. I am looking for simple , inexpensive, hearty, nutritious dishes for this winter. I think I will wait to pick up.some spinach as you mentioned before I put this together. BTW, I love pb and sweet potatoes. 😉🙋🏻♀️
I have a friend from South Africa who made this soup for me, but her's was super spicy (which I loved), but knew my family wouldn't. This one though I think they're gonna love. 😊👍🐾
I finally made this today and it is really good! I didn't have a green pepper, so I cut up several baby carrots and cooked them along with the onions. I mashed 3/4 of the sweet potato with a potato masher after they were cooked, and finally added a package of frozen spinich at the end. Served it over brown rice. Really delicious!! Thanks!
Your recipes are always easy and yummy and here in this video I loved that red flowers on your breakfast table ..and also that you are wearing black the red pot the red plate background the red flowers and yellow light everything just looking so pretty visually..I love to watch your videos
Veganuary??? Sounds great! A kitchen tip for you my friend. Put a damp paper towel under your cutting board to keep it from moving! Love ya gal! Hi to Sophie!! See you Sunday!
top o the day Adelina your looking radiant how is lovely Sophie I miss seeing her it’s been a while, I love stew I make a cross between American and Irish which is thick as to stand a spoon. yours is a little soupy but I imagine yummy scrumptious and with a delightful fragrance well take care
A: Took me awhile but I finally got to this one. How scrumptious and creamy can one stew/soup be? I had to make myself stop after two bowls. You were so right. It was all ingredients that I had on hand. Subbed in a bag of frozen chunks of sweet potato. Loved the fact it was so fast, so easy and best of all HEALTHY..HEALTHY..HEALTHY!
This looks good❣️ I lived as a volunteer in West Africa (Benin) for a year, and anything with peanut sauce was a favorite of mine❣️❣️❣️ I will try this and let you know how it compares to my memories❣️ Kari p.s. Looking forward to Sunday’s video - gentle question = did you get my email on Monday? Again, no pressure or rush in getting back to me, I just wanted to make sure it came through and didn’t get stopped as spam.
You could always say it's "inspired by" African Peanut Stew, LOL. It may not be authentic, but it IS delicious! I added garbanzo beans to mine as well as the kale I had on hand, and it is really satisfying. Thanks and a belated Happy New Year to you!
So it’s not 100% authentic, it looks delicious anyway!! I’m just sorry it doesn’t freeze well bc I’d have my caregiver make up batches of this (yes w/real peanut butter) to freeze like she does w/your delicious lentil stew recipe. BTW, I’m still feeling so good about the heartwarming & interesting interview Keaton did w/you on New Year’s Eve. When he asked you how did you do it all after listing what you did while you raised him & Jaime, it reminded me of my 2nd adult daughter who’s given me two smart, funny, & wise grandchildren (figuratively of course). She’s asked me multiple times, “Mum, how did you do it all?” I always tell her what you said to Keaton. When you’re a mother, you just do it. I have strongly recommended to both my adult daughters to remember to do their self-care bc that was the part I didn’t allow time for, & that impacted my well-being negatively. They’ve both done a great job balancing being of service & maintaining their own self-care, which makes me quite happy. Love you so much! Looking forward to your upcoming content. All the Best in 2023!!💙🌟🌀🥳
@@myBIGtinyhouselife Thank you, Adelina. We faced many challenges together that might help someone if I described here, but I don’t have it in me. I will say this though. I tandem nursed aka breastfed both my children at same time; I really think that has everything to do w/their bond to this day, even though they each have faced their own unique challenges upon moving out on their own. When they were nursing they’d lie on either side of me on our good old water bed we all miss. They’d hold hands across my belly & gently stroke each other’s hair. Those were the best days of my life. Got to lie down & rest during those heartwarming moments too-a bonus for me. We’d usually all fall asleep like that at nap time & overnight sometimes. It was incredibly dear & a time I’ll never forget as their Mum.💙🌟🌀🤗
Another great vegan recipe. That’s one of the reasons I subscribed. I see you have your onions on the windowsill. Do you cut off the root end? Or leave it attached? Thank you
tried it, LOVED it! gotta say i am kinda shocked i liked it. l am very picky when it comes to new foods and tastes. i didn't put the ginger in it i don't really like ginger, i used chunky peanut butter ( that's what i had)
Adeline on one of your videos you were baking and you said to turn the oven back because propane heats hotter than natural gas. I just switched over to propane and the oven is always to hot. Can you shed some light on what you think I should do to get a better result? Thanks
Hi. I'be bought an oven thermometer and adjust my setting so that I get the right temp. What I mean is that to get 350 I have to set the oven to 320. I'm going to call the company that hooked me up to ask them if they can throttle back the volume a bit to see if that works but I wouldn't try to do that myself.
I had my guys out and they showed me how to do it...mine was running high also but still is so they have me scaling back I. Increments but its still not where I wnt it to be.

Can this be made in the Instant Pot?
I would think so but I've never tried it. Let me know how it goes. 😊
